At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey S Hafis, the rider of CHINESE TEA, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding CHINESE TEA in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to QUICKEN AWAY (J Daniel) and ARC TRIUMPH (App PH Seow) at approximately the 800M. In this incident, CHINESE TEA shifted in, inconveniencing CHEVAL BLANC which resulted in QUICKEN AWAY having to ease at the 800M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Hafis’ guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 15 April 2024 and to expire on 27 April 2024, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM2,000/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
With regards to the incident pertaining to AWESOME STORM, after interviewing riders of GAMESTONKS, ARC TRIUMPH, QUICKEN AWAY and AWESOME STORM, the Panel of Stewards deemed this to be a racing incident.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App SN Shiva, the rider of NO REGRETS, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding NO REGRETS in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to WAR DRAGON (App I Fikri) at the 400M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App SN Shiva’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 15 April 2024 and to expire on 21 April 2024, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,000/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 15 April 2024 and to expire on 21 April 2024, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,500/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

The Stewards, on Sunday, 14 April 2024, concluded an inquiry into the running and handling of IRON SAMURAI. Evidence was taken from Jockey SU Lim, the rider of IRON SAMURAI.
After reviewing the films of the incident and considering the evidence tendered, the Stewards decided to take no further action.
