RACE 1 (R1305) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200m (lc) GOLCONDA 1999 HANDICAP
LOOKS GOOD, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near fore foot, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Approaching the 1000M-mark, BALL AND CHAIN (R Rueven) was crowded, as a result of SYMBOL OF COURAGE (App WW Cheah) shifting inwards. App WW Cheah, the rider of SYMBOL OF COURAGE was shown the video of the incident and was warned to ensure that he gives runners on his inside sufficient room in future.
Approaching the 300M-mark, GALAXY LAW (S Saddam) raced up to the heels of MACARTHUR (App R Nuqman) and had to be corrected outwards abruptly. Jockey S Saddam, the rider of GALAXY LAW was shown the video of the incident and was warned to exercise more care in future.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ROCKET PEGASUS (AK Lim) and BALL AND CHAIN revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R1306) ENRICH STAKES A (SW) – 1200m (lc) CHARITY CUP 2022
YOU ROKK, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near fore cannon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
NOT USUAL PRINCE (AK Lim) jumped awkwardly inwards, resulting in varying degrees of crowding to MR G (App R Nuqman), KERAUNO (App Clyde Leck) and QIJI ACHEEVA (Y Aify).
At approximately the 1100M-mark, QIJI ACHEEVA became crowded and had to steady when racing tight on the inside of RELAU STAR (S Saddam), which had been influenced inwards by GRAND CROSS (App SN Shiva). In this incident, EXDREAM (AM Aizat) which was following, had to steady also, losing some ground. App SN Shiva, the rider of GRAND CROSS in the presence of his employer, Trainer K Coetzee, was shown the video of the incident and he was warned to exercise more care in future. Jockey S Saddam, the rider of RELAU STAR was also shown the video of the incident and he was also warned to exercise more care in future.
LIM’S DASHING (M Yusri) was obliged to race wide into the straight.
The whip of Jockey S Saddam, the rider of RELAU STAR broke during the running.
Post-race veterinary examinations of GRAND CROSS and MR CROWE (KC Tham) revealed no obvious abnormality. GRAND CROSS returned having cast its off fore plate.
Acting on a report from Jockey S Saddam that Jockey Y Aify struck him in the Jockeys’ Room upon returning after Race 2, the Panel of Stewards opened an investigation into the matter.
At a subsequent inquiry, Jockey Y Aify, the rider of QIJI ACHEEVA pleaded guilty to a charge for misconduct under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) and he was fined RM2,000/-. He was advised of his right of appeal (3.15pm).

Emergency acceptor MR G was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
BLACK THORN (R Rueven) was obliged to race wide in the early stages.
SHANGHAI NIGHTS (J Low) was pulling hard in the early and middle stages.
SKYDANCE ECLIPSE (S Saddam) was caught wide on the turn.
At approximately the 900M-mark, RESURGENCE (SS Vanan) dipped and thereafter, was hanging out badly in the straight.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SHANGHAI NIGHTS and BLACK THORN revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 5 (R1309) CLASS 5(A) –1300m (lc) BABY TYCOON 2001 HANDICAP
CHERISH, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised near fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of BIG G (App A Azizi) at 4.25pm when the horse could not be boxed. BIG G will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.
YES BOSSY (M Yusri) jumped awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, VICTOREM (AK Lim), BAMSI BEY (SS Vanan), YES BOSSY and COME AND TAKE ALL (App WW Cheah) brushed. Shortly after this incident, BAMSI BEY lost some ground.
MAGICAL PARK (App R Nuqman) showed no early pace, despite being urged.
The whip of Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of D’GREAT RISE broke during the running.

RACE 6 (R1310) CLASS 5 (A) – 1300m (lc) CONFLUENCE 2002 HANDICAP
USA CAPTAIN which was up 16kgs and HOUSEHOLD DYNASTY which was down 21kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start
JULIUS CAESAR (App SN Shiva) jumped awkwardly.
JULIUS CAESAR, GOLD SKY EXPRESS (AK Lim) and LUCK MAK MAK (KC Tham) were hanging out in the straight.
HOUSEHOLD DYNASTY (SS Vanan) hung out in the home straight, finishing the race wide.
A post-race veterinary examination of YOU ARE SPECIAL (S Saddam) revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 7 (R1311) CLASS 4 (A) – 1400m (sc) BALLISTIC 2000 HANDICAP
BROTHER WIND and MELTING POINT, both are course scratching, as BROTHER WIND had sustained a tied up near hind and MELTING POT had sustained bruised back. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Trainer HY Cheng, the trainer of KANTHAKA was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 109(1) for failing to ensure that KANTHAKA was presented to the pre-race holding yard within the stipulated time.
BUDDY SIXTY-ONE (AM Aizat) was hanging out in the straight.
LIM’S PIPER (SU Lim) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of PURPLE RAIN LADY (R Rueven) revealed no obvious abnormality.

PERAK OCTOBER/NOVEMBER MEETING, 2nd DAY, SATURDAY, 5th NOVEMBER 2022
RACE 3 (R1300) CLASS 5 (B) – 1300m (lc) EXCITING REVIEW 1995 HANDICAP
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SING ROULETTE was found guilty to a charge for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards under MRA Rule 44(10) in that:
1) Having been slowly away, he urged his mount to the front by going wide, covering unnecessary ground and entering the home straight wide, resulting in his mount tiring and being unable to race to its best advantage.
In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey AM Aizat’s disciplinary records and mitigating factors. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of six (6) months, effective from Monday, 7th November 2022 and to expire on 6th May 2023, both dates inclusive. In addition, he was fined the sum of RM20,000/- He was advised of his right of appeal (6.20pm).
Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SING ROULETTE subsequently lodged a notice of appeal and applied for a stay of sentence. His application for a stay of sentence was granted and the appeal proper will be held at a date to be fixed.

RACE 3 (R1300) CLASS 5 (B) – 1300m (lc) EXCITING REVIEW 1995 HANDICAP
LIM’S KEYWAY (App R Nuqman) which raced awkwardly after the start and bucked on a number of occasions, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
RACE 4 (R1301) CLASS 5 (B)-16000M (lc) CONFIDENCE V 1996 HANDICAP
A post-race veterinary examination of TRINITY HONOR (SU Lim) today, revealed no obvious abnormality.
