Last-start winner SMART ONE looks a strong contender to secure successive wins in the 1200m Max Two Stakes this Saturday.

SMART ONE made an impressive local debut with a third-place finish first-up over 1020m on November 24. The five-year-old then overcame a slow start over 1150m from barrier ten, eventually taking the lead before sprinting away to win by 3.25 lengths.

While SMART ONE faces a slightly tougher field this time, the way he dispatched his rivals last start suggests he is well-capable of winning again, carrying a similar weight.
