As we head towards the G1 Selangor Gold Cup Meeting next weekend, there are no features as such for the ten race program to be conducted at the Selangor Turf Club on Saturday.

The high graded 1400m Supreme C contest (Race 7) will headline the card of racing where the inform LEOPARD ECLIPSE (3) should prove hard to beat again as he comes off a decisive victory over the same distance here a fortnight ago. The 7yo has raced in good form this season posting four wins and senior jockey, S Hafis retains the mount. EMPEROR TAIZONG (2) ran well first up for 13 months finishing runner up over 1275m on the inner track and he does boast an excellent second up record (4: 3–0–0). The 7yo has won 3 from 6 over the 1400m trip so the statistics do work in his favour. 

HANDSOME BENZ (1) is a handy sit sprinter who will be at peak fitness following his two

placings last month. The 8yo should use his familiar burst of acceleration to be prominent again at the finish. PERFECT (4) was a beaten favorite last start but there were excuses when the gelding was crowded midrace. The 8yo has won seven

times at the trip and should be excused for his last defeat. Group winner, COLONEL CHIEF (7) is a versatile type who continues to race well at this level and is a definite trifecta chance.

GOLD SKY EXPRESS (4) has shown rapid improvement in recent starts and can bounce back in the 1100m Class 5 event (Race 4). Coming off two minor placings in succession, the 6yo flashed home on the inner track here three weeks ago and looks a chance of going one better on Saturday. SORBETA (3) actually finish
