SELANGOR RACE PREVIEW SAT 1 MARCH
Races 1-6 will be contested on Track Two while the A4 Course will be utilized for Races 7-12 on another marathon card of racing commencing at 12.30pm this Saturday.

The 1600m Metro A event (Race 9) features the inform PACIFIC VICTORY (5) which has already established a handy record since crossing from Singapore with 2 wins from 3 starts. Both wins were at Class 3 level and despite his first run over the mile, he will prove tough to beat again.
MEGA GEMS (2) has maintained solid form since winning the G1 Coronation Cup last November and finished close up in the recent Chinese New Year Prosperity Trophy. The 7yo has been freshened and looks a genuine contender.
DRAGON CLAW (7) has been consistent in his three local starts, including a win on his local debut over 1020m on December 22. The 5yo closed off well when finishing runner up to PACIFIC VICTORY (5) over 1400m last start and will also step up to the mile for the first time.
TE AKAU BEN (4) is another versatile type who will strip fitter following his first up 4th in a competitive 1100m Metro A contest won by King Arthur. The 7yo has won at the mile previously.
SUPER BABY (6) has attracted market support in his two Malaysian outings and should be ready to strike soon.

DEFOE (10) may have the weight advantage to take out the first of two Class 3 events (Race 7) over 1200m. Despite suffering his first defeat when finishing 4th earlier last month, the 4yo drops back to a more suitable journey.
BRANSOM (3) won 5 from 19 in Singapore and is unbeaten first up in two preparations. Unfortunately, the 5yo has been dealt a blow with the wide barrier to contend with however, he does possess a touch of class and is a must watch first up since September.
SNOW DRAGON (9) and STOP THE WATER (11) dead heated in a Class 4 race over 1020m on January 26 and are set for a rematch also. SNOW DRAGON has been a model of consistency and is yet to miss a place in four Malaysian runs while it was STOP THE WATER’s first start in the country and both runners should measure up on the class upgrade.
FAITHFUL LEADER (1) will require luck from the outside gate and goes up 3.5kg after the apprentice claim.

The second of the 1200m Class 3 races is Race 8 and it appears more open. NO MORE DELAY (7) struck career best form towards the end of last year posting 3 wins and has performed admirably at his latest two runs in high grade company. From the good draw he gets the opportunity to bounce back into winning form.
LAST SAMURAI (6) was well supported to start favourite for his local debut and led initially before going down by a neck to Daylight over 1200m here three weeks ago. The 7yo will be hard to beat if he finds an easy lead and is allowed to dictate.
PACIFIC MV (5) caught the eye with a late charge to finish 4th in the Listed Wilyah Silver Bowl second up from a spell. Coming from a rearward position, the 5yo displayed a sharp burst of acceleration in a race where there was a genuine tempo from the start and from pole position, he could spring a surprise.
Following a run of unplaced efforts, WECANDO (9) recaptured his best form with a fast finishing 3rd in the same Class 3 contest won by Daylight and is back to a winnable rating.
TRIGGER PEGASUS (8) is only a moderate beginner but has been running on well in recent starts and is a rough each way chance in an open contest.
