New Zealand bred performer, KHAYYAM looks ready to strike second up when he steps out in the 1175m Supreme C contest at Kuala Lumpur this Sunday.

Following an eight and a half month hiatus from racing, KHAYYAM defied the long odds when resuming here over 1200m on August 6. The five year old ran home resolutely at his first run in Class 3 company finishing a half length 2nd behind subsequent winner, Titan Pegasus.

KHAYYAM proved successful second up in his previous preparation back in October last year and despite the weight rise, he should still prove hard to beat.
