In-form five-year-old QIJI AUSTON appears set to maintain his unbeaten local record when he steps out in the 1250m Class 5 contest at Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

QIJI AUSTON was successful at his local debut when leading throughout from barrier 11 over 1200m here on November 13.  The Spirit Of Boom gelding carried 5kg more and was even more impressive scoring in similar fashion by 3.75 lengths over 1300m on December 3. 

Since arriving at the Selangor stables of Simon Dunderdale as a maiden from 21 starts, QIJI AUSTON has made an immediate impact in two runs on the local circuit. From barrier two, he will utilize his early pace and should prove hard to beat again.
