Gold Medal winning gymnast instructs SLTC Apprentice School students.
International superstar footballer Rio Ferdinand attributes his amazing footwork skills with the ball, to the fact he regularly practiced ballroom dancing.
With this theory in mind the SLTC Apprentice School enlisted a gymnast to teach the students aerial awareness and how to fully utilise their bodies to maximise movement and enhance safety.
Who better to perform that task than the 2017 Southeast Asian Games (SEA) Women’s Vault Gold Medalist, Malaysian gymnast Tan Ing Yueh.
Ing Yueh, who has competed in more than 20 countries, firstly demonstrated multiple moves and rolls, then set the students a serious of balance exercises before moving on to a roll and recovery session.
As part of the Selangor Turf Club Committee’s commitment to the training of young Malaysians and safety within the Racing Industry, Ing Yueh will conduct other sessions with apprentices full equipped in racewear.
