14 February 2025, Kuala Lumpur

Sunday the 16th of February stages a 12 race program and for the first time in a few weeks, the card looks a little fairer than some of the results that we have been having and dare I say, it looks like a favourite friendly card.

KC WONG

The day starts off at 12:15pm local time and on paper, punters should be able to ‘Follow The Road’ as Road Of Tiger steps out for the SY Lim stable. He was a comfortable winner in his first up performance three weeks ago when destroying the opposition by over 5 lengths. He steps up slightly in trip to 1200m and that should be a bonus as 5 of his 6 career wins have been over this distance. In form jockey, KC Wong, takes the ride and albeit this is a slightly tougher field than his last start, he should go back-to-back here.

In race 4, the David Kok trained, Don’t Forget Boss could finally open his Malaysian account after consecutive second placings in his last two starts. His latest effort catches the eye as he was beaten by Red Dragonfly by 1,75 lengths and is a runner who has yet to have tasted defeat in his five starts to date in Malaysia. With form like that behind his name over an ideal distance, he should be hard to beat. KC Wong is also engaged for this ride and could be a jockey to follow on the day.

Emerald Lisi brings strong form to the table in race 6 from the BT Lim yard. R Nuqman takes the ride and he flew up in his last start to finish an improved third from his local debut when he finished fourth. Third up he should be in peak condition and should be very competitive. Another runner that catches the eye is Pacific MV from the Jason Ong yard in race 11. He last ran in the Wilayah Silver Bowl where he was nearer last than first for the majority of the race before showing a quick turn of foot and ended up running on to finish 4th behind Platinum Emperor but in the process, finished ahead of Witnessimpact; Flying Nemo; Bintang Sixty-One; Gulf Eagle as well as Pacific Vampire. The only concern is this is over 1020m and he might be run off his feet if he is slow away but expect a late finish.

A card that certainly appeals to the punter and is one that shouldn’t be missed if you are around the area. The first is off at 12:15pm with the last race commencing at 17:55pm.
