A marathon weekend of racing at the Selangor Turf Club with 24 races taking place over the course of two days and Duma stands out from his counterparts in the NZB Ready To Run 2023 Graduate Cup on Sunday in what was a F Maynard exacta in the feature as Trees Of Valinor flew up to finish second but was well beaten by the stablemate.

For a stake of RM150,000, the race was exclusive to the NZB Ready to Run sale from 2023. The son of Too Darn Hot was purchased for $45,000 and sees a profitable return on investment after this win. R Nuqman settled him midfield and didn’t have the smoothest of runs as the pace was slowed down around the turn and Nuqman had to check his ride for a few strides. However, as soon as they turned for home he angled his run along the inside and in a matter of strides, Duma levelled and went past his runners in a rather comfortable manner and bounced back to winning ways with a winning margin of just under 4 lengths. It was a double for trainer F Maynard as he saddled the winner in the previous race with Cheval Blanc who added another win to his name and shrugging off the old timer tag by beating the younger horses by over 4 lengths.
