Cinnamon Blaze and the Winning Connections

Cinnamon Blaze set the track ablaze in the manner in which he won race 6 this afternoon after winning by over 7 lengths in an Open Novice event over 1300m. R Nuqman took him to the lead after jumping on speed and was never challenged up until the 400m where the race started to develop but the rest of the field were off the bit and when asked to quicken, the response was instant from the five-year old and won easing up at the line to justify favouritism.

The race meeting was unfortunately abandoned before the running of races 11 and 12 due to inclement weather, as the heavens opened up with torrential rain coming down during and after the 10th race which was won by The Wild Goal under TH Koh who completed a double on the day after a win aboard Schneider in race 3 for trainer J Tan who also celebrated a double after winning the first race with Khao Manee. Trainer J Ong was the second of the trainers to celebrate a double and closed off the meeting with War Star in race 9 and The Wild Goal in race 10.

C Henrique rode a double aboard Nineoneone, which was the ride of the day as he somehow managed to lift his ride over the line to win after turning for home nearer last than first for EP Tan, and completed his double with S Dunderdale trained Bransom in race 8.

The Selangor Turf Club will have a breather next weekend as the Perak Turf Club will host a standalone meeting, but racing will return for a double header of racing on the 5th and 6th of April.
