At the conclusion of an inquiry, App T Ammar, the rider of FORT MUSTANG, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, S Dunderdale, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding FORT MUSTANG, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to TWO MILLION at the 1300M.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App T Ammar’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 14 April 2025 and to expire on 20 April 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1000/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

In the concluding stages, SMART STAR (App Clyde Leck) was carried out significantly by LUCKY MAGIC(R Shafiq) which shifted out.
A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer C Leck, the trainer of the fourth placed horse, SMART STAR against the third placed horse, LUCKY MAGIC on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages.
After considering the evidence in this matter, the Panel of Stewards upheld the objection. In arriving at this decision, the Panel of Stewards was satisfied that SMART STAR would have finished ahead of LUCKY MAGIC, therefore the Panel upheld the objection and amended the Judge’s result to read:
1st – PACIFIC VICTORY (App PH Seow)
2nd – PACIFIC PADRINO (C Henrique)
3rd – SMART STAR (App Clyde Leck)
4th – LUCKY MAGIC (R Shafiq)
Jockey R Shafiq (LUCKY MAGIC) was examined by the Club Doctor who stood him down from his riding engagements for the remainder of the races today.

App R Nuqman (BOOMBA) was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for wearing incorrect colours.

GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC
RACE 9 (R0238) 3 Year Old Only (SW) – 1400M (LC A), SUNDAY, 6 APRIL 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB APRIL MEETING 2025
App Z Syafifie (ROCKY PEGASUS) subsequently exercised his Right of Appeal and applied for a Stay of Sentence. The Panel of Stewards considered the application for a stay which was granted. The appeal hearing will be held at a date to be fixed.
RACE 8 (R0225) CLASS 4A – 1400M (LC A4), SATURDAY, 5 APRIL 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB APRIL MEETING 2025
The Stewards, on Saturday, 12 April at SLTC, concluded an inquiry into the running and handling of CASTELO (App Z Syafifie).
After reviewing the films of the incident, the Stewards decided to take no further action,
RACE 12 (R0241) CLASS 5B – 1150M (Track II +4), SUNDAY, 6 APRIL 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB APRIL MEETING 2025
The Stewards, on Saturday, 12 April at SLTC, concluded an inquiry into an incident at the 1000M.
After reviewing the films of the incident, it was established that App M Akmazani (TANTHEMAN) was tightened for galloping room, however, no particular rider was to be blamed for this incident and as such the Stewards deemed it as a racing incident.
INQUIRY INTO THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE CONFISCATION OF ITEMS FROM TRAINER WC LIM’S STABLES ON 3 APRIL 2025 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB
The Stewards, on Saturday, 12 April 2025 at the Selangor Turf Club, concluded an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the above matter.
Trainer WC Lim was found to have infringed MRA Rule 33(4) and he was fined a total of RM500/-.
