At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey WW Cheah, the rider of MIRACLE STAR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he failed to ensure that he did not contribute to the interference caused to HUNTER PEGASUS and CHARITY GOLD shortly after the start.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey WW Cheah’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day, to be deferred. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1000/.    He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App PH Seow, the rider of DIAMOND RING, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, J Ong, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that she failed to ensure that she did not contribute to the interference caused to HUNTER PEGASUS and CHARITY GOLD shortly after the start.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App PH Seow’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. She was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day, to be deferred, with effect from 3 March 2025 and to expire on 9 March 2025, both dates inclusive.. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, she was also fined RM750/. She was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the 350M, PACIFIC ANGEL angled out for a clear run, thereafter this mare shifted in away from the whip at the 300M. In the concluding stages, PACIFIC ANGEL which drifted out from the 300M and SUPER POSH which shifted out, came together and raced in close proximity.

A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Mr D Kok, the Trainer of the second placed horse, PACIFIC ANGEL (TH Koh), against the winner, SUPER POSH (AL Da Silva), on the grounds of interference in the straight. 

After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board overruled the objection as it could not be satisfied that but for the above incident, PACIFIC ANGEL would not have finished ahead of SUPER POSH.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey KC Low, the rider of DANCING TYCOON, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to VICTORIOUS WARRIOR and SACRED TONIC at the 900M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey KC Low’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 24 November 2025 and to expire on 6 December 2025, both dates inclusive, to be served consecutively with any other penalty. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey S Uzair, the rider of WAR DRAGON, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SINGLE WARRIOR and THE WILD CHIEF.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Uzair’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) Selangor Turf Club race days with effect from 24 February 2025 and to expire on 16 March 2025, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

Jockey TH Koh (THE WILD CHIEF) was examined by the Club Doctor who stood him down from his riding engagements for the remainder of the races today.

The report dated 20 February 2025 (V25/026) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 24 coded urine and 24 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 16 February 2025, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
