RACE 1 (R670) CLASS 5(B) – 1600m (lc) GULI HANDICAP

The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey SU Lim to replace Jockey KP Lim, as the rider of RAISE ME UP when the latter was medically stood down.

LUCK HAPPY which was up 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

PURPLE RAIN LADY (App SN Shiva) raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

From the 1500M-mark to the 1000M-mark, LUCK HAPPY (R Rueven) raced ungenerously, throwing its head up on several occasions.

Jockey S Saddam, the rider of BLUE EYED BOY reported that his mount could not handle the going today.

A post-race veterinary examination of BLUE EYED BOY (S Saddam) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R671) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600m (lc) WAU HANDICAP

NAPOLEON (App A Azizi) was crowded for room when MERRY BELL (App SN Shiva) jumped awkwardly outwards and IRON FIST (App Z Syafifie) jumped awkwardly inwards, resulting in NAPOLEON losing ground.

Post-race veterinary examinations of MERRY BELL and POWER EXPRESS (HS Gill) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that IRON FIST returned having cast its near hind plate.

RACE 3 (R672) CLASS 5 (A) – 1200m (sc) GALAH PANJANG HANDICAP

Shortly after the start, LADY ASTA (App Z Syafifie) bumped SUNNY FIGHTER (L De Souza) outwards onto SUPREME JUSTICE (SU Lim).

SUPREME SUCCESS (S Anandan) raced wide in the backstraight and thereafter, showed no pace, despite being urged.

A post-race veterinary examination of LAST CHANCE (App SN Shiva) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that REY ELVIS (S Saddam) returned having cast its off hind plate.

RACE 4 (R673) CLASS 5 (B) – 1200M (sc) GASING HANDICAP

NORTHERN KNIGHT which was down 16kgs in body weight respectively since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

As the start was effected, CHIPS (App Z Syafifie) reared up badly, resulting in its rider striking the overhead bar and thereafter, stumbled, losing ground. CHIPS will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.

KYO (SU Lim) was slow into stride.

Jockey R Rueven, the rider of D’GREAT CHANCE reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT CHANCE revealed no obvious abnormality.

A post-race veterinary examination of KYO which raced poorly, revealed no obvious abnormality. KYO will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 5 (R674) CLASS 5 (A) – 1100m (sc) BATU SEREMBAN HANDICAP

SIEW YUK, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

As there was no suitable rider available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App A Azizi to replace Jockey KP Lim, as the rider of IRON SAMURAI when the latter was medically stood down.

KING RAVANA (S Saddam) jumped awkwardly outwards and was slow into stride.

RACE 6 (R675) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100m (sc) CONGKAK HANDICAP

TILSWORTH MALI (S Anandan) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped TOP TURF (L De Souza).

LUKE MAN (SU Lim) reared up as the start was effected.

Passing the 250M-mark, TOP TURF laid in, resulting in SUNTZU (App SN Shiva) having to steady. Jockey L De Souza, the rider of TOP TURF was shown the video of the incident and was warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

Post-race veterinary examinations of SUNTZU and LEGACY FIGHTER (App Z Syafifie) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The report dated 15^th June 2023 (V23/085) from the Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics Laboratory stated that 14 coded urine and 16 sets of coded blood samples from the above- mentioned race meeting were received on 3 June 2023, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.

No prohibited substances were detected.
