SELANGOR  APRIL MEETING –  SATURDAY, 2 APRIL 2022

RACE 7 (R401)         CLASS 4 (B) – 1300M (C6 LONG COURSE) 

On inquiry, Jockey HS Gill, the rider of WISHUPONASTAR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) for shifting in at this stage.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey HS Gill’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 4 April 2022 and to expire on 10 April 2022, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 10 (R404)       CLASS 4 (B) – 1100M (C6 SHORT COURSE)

On inquiry, App S Sia, the rider of MISE EN GARDE, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, R Lines, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that for shifting in at this stage.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App S Sia’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days, with effect from 4 April 2022 and to expire on 10 April 2022, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 11 (R405)       CLASS 4 (B) – 1100M (C6 SHORT COURSE) 

On inquiry, Jockey SU Lim, the rider of NINGALOO pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that for shifting in at this stage.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey SU Lim’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days, with effect from 4 April 2022 and to expire on 10 April 2022, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal

PERAK APRIL MEETING  – SUNDAY – 3^RD APRIL 2022

RACE 2 (R408)        CLASS 5(B) – 1600m (lc)      CONNEMARA HANDICAP  

At the conclusion of an Inquiry today, Jockey K Eirwan, the rider of GREAT HERO pleaded guilty to a charge for careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii), in that at approximately the 1400M-mark, he shifted in, resulting in SING EXPRESS (S Saddam) having to check and stumble.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey K Eirwan’s record and mitigating factors.  He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days, effective Monday, 4^th April 2022 and to expire on Saturday, 23^rd April 2022, both dates inclusive.   He was advised of his right of appeal (1.52pm).

RACE 8 (R414)         CLASS 4 (B) – 1000m (sc)   FRIESIAN HANDICAP    
At approximately the 900M-mark, DIAMOND SET (HS Gill) and CAPONE (J Low) both fell.  In this incident, FAST AND SUPER (S Saddam) and RULE THE WORLD (F Yap) which were following, had to take evasive actions. 

At a subsequent Inquiry today, App AR Aiman, the rider of SACRED SURFER in the presence of his employing trainer, Trainer HS Lim pleaded guilty to a charge for reckless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(i), in that at approximately the 900M-mark,  he shifted in, resulting in DIAMOND SET being crowded, clipping heels, dislodging Jockey HS Gill.   Jockey J Low, the rider of CAPONE which was following, was also dislodged.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into considerations App AR Aiman’s record and mitigating factors.   He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month, effective from Monday, 4^th April 2022 and to expire on Tuesday, 3^rd May 2022, both dates inclusive.   He was advised of his right of appeal (5.32pm).
