RACE 1 (R525) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100M
D’GREAT WORLD, a course scratching as it had a nail prick near fore foot, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Jockey M Hanif was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 44(2) for failing to arrive on course at least one hour prior to the advertised time of his first carded engagement. The Stewards permitted Jockey S Ruzaini to replace Jockey M Hanif as the rider of OUR FRIENDLY DIVA.
BAIL OUT (App P Haris) shifted in shortly after the start, resulting in BULL SPUR (App CT Lee) being crowded for room onto BARKER ROAD KID (App L De Souza) and as a result, BULL SPUR lost its position.
The saddle slipped back on OUR FRIENDLY DIVA and BAIL OUT during the running of the race.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BAIL OUT returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of PEACH BOWL, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that from about the 100M, he permitted his mount to shift inwards when insufficiently clear of EAGLE SOAR (J De Souza) whilst riding with his whip, resulting in EAGLE SOAR having to check at the 50M and taken inwards onto DARK EXPRESS (S Anandan) which had to be steadied as a consequence.
When deciding on the penalty, the Stewards took into account the facts of this case, Jockey Z Khairil’s guilty plea, points of mitigation and his riding record. Jockey Z Khairil was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from Monday, 29th April 2019 and to expire on Saturday, 11th May 2019, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (2.30pm).

RACE 2 (R526) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100M
GOOD PEOPLE (App WW Cheah) jumped away awkwardly.
DELTA WING (J Low) was slow into stride.
RANGITAIKI (HK Cheng) had to check shortly after the start when LOYALTY’S ANGEL (Z Khairil) shifted away from GOLDEN DRAGON (J De Souza).
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that RANGITAIKI bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of LOYALTY’S ANGEL, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOOD PEOPLE revealed no obvious abnormality and SAND LANE (App CC Foo) returned having cast its off fore plate.

RACE 3 (R527) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M
RED GENERAL which was down 23kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
LIVELY DRAGON (App L De Souza) cast its near fore plate behind the barriers and had to be re-shod. The gelding was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race.
PURE JUSTICE (KC Wong) was checked by the Club Veterinary behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.
Post-race veterinary examinations of WARRIOR KING (S Ruzaini), PURE JUSTICE and RED GENERAL (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality. RED GENERAL was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

The State of Track was upgraded to “GOOD” after the running of this race.
RACE 4 (R528) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600M
Jockey Y Aify was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 44(2) for failing to arrive on course at least one hour prior to the advertised time of his first carded engagement. The Stewards permitted Jockey S Ruzaini to replace Jockey Y Aify as the rider of GHOST CITY.
COLONEL LINCOLN (App CK Khaw) and GHOST CITY jumped away awkwardly.
MAXIM DRAGON (J Low) stood when the gates were released and was slow into stride.
MAXIM DRAGON had to be checked shortly after the start to avoid the heels of RACING MAN (App S Saddam).
AMISTAD (C Goon) showed no early pace despite being urged.
D’GREAT GLORY (R Shafiq) raced wide from the 700M until entering the straight.
Post-race veterinary examinations of AMISTAD, BEST DREAM (M Hanif) and MAXIM DRAGON revealed no obvious abnormality.
GHOST CITY, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey KC Wong, the rider of FLEDGELING, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he shifted inwards at the 1000M when insufficiently clear of MAYWEATHER (S Anandan) which was taken in, resulting in RUSH (J De Souza) having to check and lost ground. COLONEL LINCOLN which was following, had to shift outwards onto RACING MAN.
When deciding on the penalty, the Stewards took into account the facts of this case, Jockey KC Wong’s guilty plea, points of mitigation and his riding record. Jockey KC Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from Monday, 29th April 2019 and to expire on Saturday, 11th May 2019, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (3.45pm).

BABY POLO (S Ruzaini) was slow to begin.
LION CITY GOLD (App CK Khaw) was slow into stride.

Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of BABY POLO, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. BABY POLO which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BAYMAX (S Salee) returned having cast its near fore plate.
Post-race veterinary examinations of D’GREAT LORD (App S Rosmizan) and ENDURANCE revealed no obvious abnormality. D’GREAT LORD was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

RACE 6 (R530) CLASS 5 (B) – 1300M
HAPPY VALLEY and SUPERB SEVEN, both course scratchings as they were bruised near fore sole and sore off fore tendon respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
EASTWOOD (C Goon) cast its off fore plate behind the barriers, was re-shod, checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race.
Acting on a report from the Official Starter that FIRST OPTION (App CK Khaw) was difficult and could not be boxed, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4.37 pm. FIRST OPTION will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
POLO TYCOON (L Sofhan) was difficult to settle and racing to the 800M, had to be eased and lost ground.
BASTION (App S Saddam) raced wide from the 700M until entering the straight.
D’GREAT ARES (KC Wong) shifted in at the 50M resulting in ELITE GUSTAVO (S Ruzaini) having to steady. Shortly thereafter, D’GREAT ARES (KC Wong) had to steady to avoid the heels of D’GREAT PERFECT (App P Haris).
App S Saddam, the rider of BASTION, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that POLO TYCOON returned cut into its near hind bulb and EASTWOOD returned having cast its off fore plate. POLO TYCOON will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of ELITE GUSTAVO revealed no obvious abnormality.

GLOBAL ARMY, MAZANDARAN and NINETYSEVENEMPEROR which were down 15kgs, 17kgs and 15kgs respectively in body weight since their last runs, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
SONIC-X which was up 19kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
FOLLOW THE WIND (App S Saddam) was slow to begin.
NANA (Z Khairil) was slow into stride.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that NINETYSEVENEMPEROR (S Anandan) returned cut into its near hind and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of EL TORDILLO (M Hanif) and GLOBAL ARMY (Y Aify) revealed no obvious abnormality.

GENERAL REPORT – PRTC
Report of Analysis on Clearing Samples – EYEOFTHETIGER (W371) & RACE FOR FAME (C84)
Urine samples taken from EYEOFTHETIGER (W371) and RACE FOR FAME (C84) on 8th April 2019 and 11th April 2019 respectively, for analysis by USains Biomics Laboratory were cleared on 16th April 2019.
JOCKEY URINE SAMPLES:

PERAK TURF CLUB APRIL MEETING 2019
The report dated 25th April 2019 (V19/053) from the Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics Laboratory stated that 5 coded urine samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 14th April 2019 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected, except for sample coded “J-3728” which upon analysis, was tested positive to “Furosemide”, a prohibited substance.
Upon decoding, it was noted that sample coded “J-3728” was provided by Jockey S Muniandy. Jockey S Muniandy was notified of the finding from USains Biomics Laboratory at 12.30 pm on Saturday, 27th April 2019.
Under MRA Rule 136(3), Jockey S Muniandy is stood down from riding in races and riding trackwork, barrier trial and tests with immediate effect pending an Inquiry being conducted at a date to be fixed.
