Trainers Frank Maynard and Richard Lines saddled seven 7 eight winners respectively over the four days of Selangor’s Chinese New Year meeting. Thus 

Having scored twice the previous weekend, current leading trainer Richard Lines opened his account in Race 3 on Saturday with newcomer Royal Power (App. L de Souza). Booster (J de Souza) in Race 4, God Helps Me (KC Wong) in Race 8 and Mr Connery (J de Souza) in Race 9 followed. He found life more difficult on Sunday but eventually put another winner on the board with Megusto (App. CK Khaw) in the last race.

Meanwhile, Frank Maynard, who saddled four winners last weekend, managed three this time with Captain Jazz (App. KC Wong) and Haha Babe (L Sofhan) on Saturday, and Gassur taking the first race on Sunday. Trainer SY Lim saddled 5 winners with Trainer Charles Leck,  Kumaran and Lawson Moy each weighed in with four victories over the 2 weekends. The trainers named above, all based at Selangor, hold the first five places in the Malaysian trainer’s premiership.
