RACE 2 (R0069) CLASS 5A – 1400M (LC A)

Labuan Stakes

3	FLYING WARRIOR (CK Ng)	Carried in at the 1000M. Rider became severely unbalanced when attempting to switch out at the 400M.
7	PERFECT MISSION (AL Da Silva)	Shifted in marginally at the 1000M. Jockey cautioned regarding shifting ground races.
8	CH FORTUNE (R Nuqman)	Raced wide in the early and middle stages. Carried out at the 400M.
9	PACIFIC BEAUTY (TH Koh)	Raced wide throughout. Poor performance – 1000M/Vet
10	ST ALWYN (A Suriya)	Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions between the 1400M and the 1300M. Thereafter tightened for galloping room at the 1000M.
11	STRONG N WHITE (App I Fikri)	Bumped with another runner on a number of occasions between the 1400M and the 1300M. Hung in in the straight.

Jockey TH Koh was examined by the Club Doctor who stood him down from his riding engagements for the remainder of the races today.

Kuala Lumpur Stakes

1	SUN PALACE (App S Shazmin)	Raced wide in the middle stages. Vet inspection: Lame off fore – 1000M/Vet – 2 weeks embargo.
3	KIM KIM (KC Low)	Hung out in the straight.
4	SMART ONE (App Clyde Leck)	Raced keen in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
5	CHASING BLOSSOM (KC Wong)	Slow into stride.
7	SIMON (A Suriya)	Raced awkwardly at the 1000M and wanted to lay in. Hung in in the early part of the straight. Thereafter, shifted out for a clear run at the 350M and shifted in away from the whip in the concluding stages.

Jockey R Shafiq and App T Ammar were each RM250/- under MRA Rule 41(7) in that they rode ENTICING and NIMBUS GLORY respectively, which were equipped with defective gears.

Cyberjaya Stakes

2	SUPER BABY (R Shafiq)	Tightened for galloping room at the 1100M and had to ease sharply at the 1000M.
3	EMERALD LISI (R Nuqman)	Tightened for galloping room between the 1100M and the 1000M.
5	PACIFIC VICTORY (App PH Seow)	Clipped heels at the 1100M. Tightened for galloping room between the 1100M and the 1000M.
8	PACIFIC FLASH (App Clyde Leck)	Bumped out at the 1000M and had to ease at the 900M to avoid the heels of another runner. Poor performance – 1000M/Vet.
12	EMPEROR TAIZONG (App I Fikri)	Had to ease severely off the heels of another runner at the 1000M.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App T Ammar, the rider of INFINITY GLORY, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, S Dunderdale, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to PACIFIC VICTORY, EMERALD LISI, SUPER BABY and PACIFIC FLASH.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App T Ammar’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) Malaysian race days with effect from 3 February 2025 and to expire on 16 February 2025, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

App PH Seow who rode her 80^th winner on PACIFIC VICTORY in this race, would only be entitled to claim 1kg allowance as from Monday, 3 February 2024.

Wilayah Silver Bowl Trophy

4	WITNESSIMPACT (App PH Seow)	Brushed the rail on a number of occasions between 1000M and the 900M, which resulted in this gelding in becoming unbalanced.
5	FLYING NEMO (L De Souza)	Trainer fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on the gelding. Slow to begin.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App Clyde Leck, the rider of BINTANG SIXTY-ONE, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, C Leck, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to JANUARY and SACRED BUDDY at approximately the 700M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App Clyde Leck’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 3 February 2025 and to expire on 9 February 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,000/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

The Stewards will conduct a review of this race at a later date.

Perdana Botanical Garden Stakes

This race has rescheduled to start at 5:05pm.

1	MAGIC CAPTAIN (CK Ng)	Took evasive action to avoid the fallen rider.
2	MAZE (R Nuqman)	Took evasive action to avoid the fallen horse.
4	GOLD SAMURA (App A Nazir)	Tightened for galloping room and brushed at the 400 and the 350M. Between the 200M and 100M, tightened for galloping room, clipped heels, fell and dislodged the Apprentice.
5	OLYMPIA (App S Shazmin)	An inquiry will be opened into the running and handling of the gelding.
7	FROM THE NAVY (App Clyde Leck)	Had to ease to avoid the fallen horse.
8	BATTLESTAR (S Salee)	Took evasive action to avoid the fallen horse and the Jockey became severely unbalanced.
9	WRITTEN TOWIN (WW Cheah)	Raced wide in the early stages. Had to ease to avoid the fallen horse. Returned with a cut on the near hind medial thigh – Vet exam.
10	OTAHUHU (KC Low)	Stumbled whilst avoiding the fallen horse and dislodged the Jockey.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey S Uzair, the rider of LIM’S CRAFT, was found guilty of charge of reckless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(i) in that his riding of LIM’S CRAFT was determined to be reckless by the Stewards.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Uzair’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months with effect from 3 February 2025 and to expire on 2 April 2025, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 10 (R0077) CLASS 5A – 1250M (SC A)

Dataran Merdeka Stakes

3	SACRED SKY (KC Wong)	Slow into stride.
4	VERY SURPRISE (App S Bahauddin)	Raced wide from the 700M.
5	MARS GO (S Salee)	Slow into stride.

10	MIRACLE STAR (WW Cheah)	Slow into stride. Switched out to continue its run at the 350M. Hung in and shifted in away from the whip at the 250M.
11	HEART OF VALOR (I Saifudin)	Trainer fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on the gelding.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey WW Cheah, the rider of MIRACLE STAR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GOOD CHILLI.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey WW Cheah’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 3 February 2025 and to expire on 8 February 2025, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM1,500/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
