The Selangor Turf Club will resume racing on its Main Track this weekend, Sunday, 9 June 2024. The Main Track has been closed since 15 April 2024 for upgrading and returfing from 550m to the Finishing Post i.e. total area measruing width of 15m and length of 550m.
The upgrading work includes improvement of the subsoil drainage as the speed of the drainage of rain water is crucial in ensuring rapid resumption of the track useability for racing. This would minimize the race disruption duration during heavy downpour.

Six horses made a trial gallop over the new turf on Tuesday, 4th June and the trainers and owners were satisfied with the excellent condition of the track and look forward to racing this weekend.
Jockey Haikal and Su Lim who rode over the track commented that the track is in perfect condition and their ride was smooth with less impact and kickouts. Meanwhile Champion Trainer, Richard Lines expressed his gratitude towards the Club for the upgrading work as the state of the track is crucial for the safety of the horses and jockeys.
