6	IRON RULER (CK Khaw)	The gelding which was hanging out in the straight, had to ease on 2 occasions in the concluding stages. Jockey advised to take strong corrective measures when his mounts are shifting ground and to ride his mounts to the end of the race, so as to leave no room for query.
8	ANDADO (SU Lim)	Broke through the gates – 1 Starting Stall test. Subsequently examined by the Vet and was passed fit to race. Switched out to continue its run at the 200M
9	GENERAL CHENG (S Nakano)	Returned with multiple lacerations over the muzzle & nostrils – Vet exam.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey L De Souza, the rider of IRONCLAD, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to JEWEL SIXTY-ONE and YANKEE STAR at approximately the 1000M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey L De Souza’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 14 October 2024 and to expire on 20 October 2024, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

Trainer KF Coetzee (STORM EIGHTY-THREE) and Trainer NM Selvan (TRIGGER PEGASUS) were each fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for declaring the wrong riders on their horses (clerical error).

Trainer K Ananthen was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on MISTY SWIFT (App S Shazmin).

GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC

RACE 2 (R0975) CLASS 5A – 1200M (SC C4), SATURDAY, 12 OCTOBER 2024, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2024

The fine of RM250/- imposed on Trainer KC Tiang for PACIFIC ARMANI, was rescinded.

RACE 9 (R0972) CLASS 5A – 1400M (LC A), SUNDAY, 6 OCTOBER 2024, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2024

The Stewards, on Saturday, 12 October 2024 and took evidence from App I Fikri, the rider of STRONG WHITE, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, L Moy.

After reviewing the films of the incident and considering the evidence tendered, the Stewards decided to take no further action, however, he was reminded not to cover unnecessary ground in races.

INQUIRY INTO A REPORT RELATING TO A PRE-RACE BLOOD SAMPLE CODED “255333” TAKEN FROM THE HORSE “DARCY” WHICH WAS WITHDRAWN FROM RACE 5 ON SATURDAY, 21 SEPTEMBER 2024 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB SEPTEMBER MEETING 2024

The Stewards concluded an inquiry into the above matter on Thursday, 10 October 2024 at the Selangor Turf Club, and evidence was taken from Trainer R Lines, the Trainer of DARCY.

Trainer R Lines pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 134(6)(a) as read with MRA Rule 134(13) in that he was the trainer and person responsible for DARCY and its pre-race blood sample revealed the presence of Total Plasma Carbon Dioxide (TCO2), a prohibited substance under the MRA Rules.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration the type of drug, the nature of the drug involved, Trainer R Lines’ guilty plea, his mitigating factors and previous record. Trainer R Lines was fined RM20,000/-, which was wholly suspended for a period of 1 year on condition that he is not found guilty under this or any similar Rules. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
