App R Nuqman was examined by the Club Doctor who stood him down from his riding engagements for the remainder of the races today.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey J Daniel, the rider of HOLY ELEANOR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding HOLY ELEANOR in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SUPER HERO approaching the 1000M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey J Daniel’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 1 July 2024 and to expire on 7 July 2024, both dates inclusive. In lieu of two (2) Malaysian race days, he was also fined RM4000/–. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 1 July 2024 and to expire on 13 July 2024, both dates inclusive. At the conclusion of an inquiry, App K Pavinthran, the rider of TRIBUTO, in the presence of his Employing Trainer’s representative, Trainer J Leck, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding TRIBUTO in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MAJESTIC WAY leaving the 1000M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App K Pavinthran’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 1 July 2024 and to expire on 13 July 2024, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

Jockey J Daniel (JAZZ BAND) was examined by the Club Doctor who stood him down from his riding engagements for the remainder of the races today.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App M Lukman, the rider of POPEYETHESAILORMAN, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, WC Lim, POPEYETHESAILORMAN pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding POPEYETHESAILORMAN in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to GULF EAGLE and PACIFIC WINDSOR leaving the 1000M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App M Lukman’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 1 July 2024 and to expire on 7 July 2024, both dates inclusive. In lieu of one (1) Malaysian race day, he was also fined RM2,000/–. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App T Ammar, the rider of TOPMOST, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, S Dunderdale, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding TOPMOST in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MAGNITUDE at the 700M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App T Ammar’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 1 July 2024 and to expire on 13 July 2024, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

Trainer NM Selvan appeared before the Panel regarding the racing tactics on QIJI DIAMOND. After considering the statements of Trainer NM Selvan, the Panel of Stewards was of the opinion that the aggression shown on QIJI DIAMOND today did not match the pattern of its last few runs, accordingly the Panel deemed that this was a change of racing tactics and in view of this, Trainer NM Selvan was fined RM1000/- under MRA Rule 35(8).

At the conclusion of an inquiry today, App K Pavinthran, the rider of FROM THE NAVY, in the presence of his Employing Trainer’s representative, Trainer J Leck, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(6) in that he failed to ride his horse out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards, thereby prejudicing his chances of obtaining 2^nd placing.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App K Pavinthran’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months with effect from 14 July 2024 and to expire on 13 September 2024, both dates inclusive, to be served consecutively with any other suspension. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

Trainer S Dunderdale was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to send his horse(s) for a veterinary examination within the prescribed time.

SATURDAY, 23 JUNE 2024, SELANGOR TURF CLUB JUNE MEETING 2024

Jockey S Zulfikri was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for leaving the course without the Stewards’ prior permission.

RACE 8 (R0613) SLTC 2024 3YO SERIES (3 Year Old) (SW) – 1200M (SC A), 3 Year Old Pacific Cup, SUNDAY, 23 JUNE 2024, SELANGOR TURF CLUB JUNE MEETING 2024

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey S Zulfikri, the rider of STARLIGHT GLIMMER, was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding STARLIGHT GLIMMER in this race, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to RHYTHM OF ZEN (App R Nuqman) at approximately the 1200M mark.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Zulfikri’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 1 July 2024 and to expire on 7 July 2024, both dates inclusive. In lieu of two (2) Malaysian race days, he was also fined RM3,000/–. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

The report dated 27 June 2024 (V24/100) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 32 coded urine and 34 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 23 June 2024, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
