RACE 1 (R1015) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600M (LONG COURSE)
ANAK WARRIOR (App A Suriya) shifted in at the start, crowded AMI ELEVEN (S Ruzaini) which bumped POLO MASTER (J Low).
MOON BABY (HS Gill) was slow to begin.
Shortly after that start, BULLISH LUCK (App S Uzair) which had been slow into stride, strode onto the heels of MUSANG KING (R Shafiq) at about 1550M. App S Uzair was warned that he should exercise greater caution when shifted ground. The saddle on BULLISH LUCK slipped backwards from there onwards.
AMI ELEVEN (S Ruzaini) raced wide throughout.
Passing the 750M, App A Zaimuddin allowed ELITE ROCKET to stride onto the heels of MOON BABY after being restrained.
A post-race veterinary examination of YULONG HOLY FLYING (J Shankar) revealed that it was lame near fore and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
ELITE ROCKET which returned with laceration on the near hind, will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 2 (R1016) CLASS 5 (A) – 1600M (LONG COURSE
PERFECT KIARA (J Low) fly-jumped at the start, losing ground.
Jockey SU Lim (WONDER BB) was questioned regarding his whip use. After considering the excessive nature of his whip usage and his previous record, the Stewards referred Jockey SU Lim for specific whip training in substitution of applying a penalty. Further, Trainer WC Lim will be questioned regarding the specifics of his whip related instructions for WONDER BB and particularly as relates the provisions to MRA Rule 41(6)(d).
A post-race veterinary examination of WINNING WAR (J Shankar) revealed no significant finding.

RACE 3 (R1017) OPEN MAIDEN – 1300M (LONG COURSE)
JET TWENTY (App CK Khaw) veered outwards at the start, inconveniencing PROVE IT (J Shankar) and BAMSI BEY (J De Souza).
At the 600M, JAI ARAKAN (R Rueven) drifted out, carrying JET TWENTY (App CK Khaw) wide on the track.
JET TWENTY was inclined to lay inwards over the final 250M.
MAKE DREAM (KC Wong) shifted out quickly passing the 75M, inconveniencing STAY SOUND (App A Suriya).
JAI ARAKAN returned having cast its near hind plate.
A post-race veterinary examination of AGNI (J Low) revealed that the mare bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
RACE 4 (R1018) CLASS 4 (B) – 1600M (LONG COURSE
Acting on veterinary advice that ZAÉEM (J Shankar) was lame off fore, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 2:30pm. ZAÉEM will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
BEIJING STAR (App AB Riduan) was ridden wide throughout. When questioned regarding this, App AB Riduan stated that from his wide barrier, he was unable to secure a position and this is his initial ride at the Selangor track. Whilst accepting this, the Stewards advised that he must endeavor to ride his horses positively.
The saddle on ONE FORCE (R Rueven) slipped backwards shortly after the start.
ULURU (J Low) raced erratically in the straight. ULURU returned having cast its off hind plate.
MUHEN which returned with laceration on the near hind, will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 5 (R1019) CLASS 3 – 1600M (LONG COURSE)
GOD HELPS ME (S Ruzaini) was ridden wide throughout.
At the 800M, ISFAHAN (Z Zuriman) checked when GLORIA MARIS (KC Wong) shifted out.
ISFAHAN struck the hindquarters of BAADSHAH (J Shankar) and became unbalanced. SHOQEET (W Faizal) which was following, was inconvenienced.
SEMANTAN PRINCE (J Low) shifted out over the concluding 75M, carrying SELANGOR STAR (App A Zaimuddin) outwards.
A post-race veterinary examination of BAADSHAH revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
GOD HELPS ME (S Ruzaini) which returned with laceration on the near hind, will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 7 (R1021) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
REDOUBT (App AB Riduan) which had jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped LAI HENG HENG (App A Zaimuddin).
GOLDEN KINGDOM (J De Souza) raced wide in the middle stages.
HERACROSS (KC Wong) was eased down in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination of HERACROSS revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOODFELLAS (SU Lim) revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
GOLDEN KINGDOM returned having cast its off fore plate.

RACE 8 (R1022) CLASS 5 (A) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
An objection was lodged by App S Uzair, placed second, against the MIGHTY PHOENIX (J Shankar), being declared the winner, alleging interference at about the 700M. The Racing Stewards overruled the objection.
MR EPIC (App Zulfikri) was squeezed at the start, losing ground.
CALM AND TRANQUIL (App CK Khaw) jumped awkwardly.
Approaching the 800M, LOOKS GOOD (App S Uzair) was held tight by MIGHTY PHOENIX (J Shankar) which shifted ground, causing SUPER DRAGON (W Faizal) to check. The Stewards were unable to substantiate a charge in terms of the Rule, however, Jockey J Shankar was reprimanded as they considered that he had initiated the incident.
D’GREAT STRIKE (KC Wong) laid inwards near the 300M and had to check off the heels of D’GREAT SPEED (S Ruzaini). D’GREAT STRIKE laid in considerably thereafter.
HERO CHAMPION (J Low) raced wide in the early stages.
D’GREAT SPEED which returned with laceration on the near hind and having cast its near hind plate, will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of KING FORCE (R Rueven) revealed no significant finding.

RACE 9 (R1023) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
After the final scratching, the Stewards were advised by the Club Veterinary Surgeon that an inspection of LADY BOSS (J Low) had ascertained the mare to have a swollen near fore and was unsuitable to race, and thus it was withdrawn at 10:20am. Trainer HY Cheng was advised that in future he should ensure any veterinary issues should be resolved before scratching. LADY BOSS will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
App S Zulfikri (D’GREAT LUCK) was unable to claim any allowance and as such was replaced by App CK Khaw. An inquiry into this will be conducted at a later date.
In the early stages, LUCKY VICTORY (HS Gill) raced fiercely.
An inquiry was opened into App A Zaimuddin’s riding of ELEGENT.
A post-race veterinary examination of LUCKY VICTORY revealed that it returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC
INQUIRY INTO A REPORT CONCERNING URINE SAMPLE CODED “J-4180” WHICH WAS TAKEN ON 25 OCTOBER 2020 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2020, WAS FOUND TO CONTAIN MITRAGYNINE
The Stewards conducted an inquiry on Wednesday, 2 December 2020 into the Analyst’s Report that Sample Coded “J-4180” which was taken on 25 October 2020 at the Selangor Turf Club October Meeting 2020, was found to contain mitragynine. Evidence was taken from App L De Souza, from whom the sample was taken, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, R Lines.
App L De Souza was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 136(3)(b) with having supplied a sample at the Selangor Turf Club on 25 October 2020 which upon analysis, was found to contain the prohibited substance, mitragynine.
In considering a penalty, the Stewards took into account; personal aspects as enunciated by App L De Souza, that App L De Souza had been stood down from races, trials and trackwork since 1 November 2020, as such App L De Souza’s Apprentice Jockey’s licence was suspended from 2 December 2020 until midnight 1 February 2021.
