An objection was lodged by Jockey B Pinheiro (GOLD SKY BILLION), placed second, against App AB Riduan (MR HANKS), being declared the winner, alleging interference at about the 300M. The Panel of Stewards dismissed the objection. App AB Riduan was warned that he must straighten his mount more readily when they shift in future.

On inquiry, it was established that the saddle on MAGIC HERO had slipped backwards near the 650M when the gelding commenced to race erratically and lose ground, then laid inwards considerably tightening SAFE JOURNEY and in turn onto EL CHUBASCO. In light of MAGIC HERO’s performance, Trainer R Lines was advised that the gelding will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
