Panel of Stipendiary Stewards:
Mr Fin Powrie (Chief Stipendiary Steward), Mr Thanaraja Kasinathan (Stipendiary Steward) & Mr Nigel Chong (Stipendiary Steward).
Veterinary Surgeons:
Dr Shri Kanth (Chief Veterinary Surgeon), Dr James Yu & Dr Edwards Samuel.
RACE 1 (R781) CLASS 5 (B) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
LINCOLN CITY (KC Wong) proved difficult to load, delaying the start, and when the start was effected, struck the outside gate, striking Jockey KC Wong’s knee. In light of this, LINCOLN CITY will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall Test before being declared to race again. LINCOLN CITY was then ridden wide until straightening.
App P Mogun (ARTEMISTER) was cautioned with regards to his use of the whip.
RACE 2 (R782) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
Jockey SU Lim replaced Jockey R Rueven on EMPIRE BAY when the latter failed to arrive on course.
Prior to the start being effected, READY TO SEVENLUCK (KC Wong) tended to throw its head in the adjoining stall. In light of this, Trainer R Lines was advised that READY TO SEVENLUCK will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall Test before being declared to race again.
STREET CHAMP (App A Suriya) proved difficult to load and dwelt when the start was effected, losing considerable ground. In light of this Trainer C Leck was advised that STREET CHAMP will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.
EMPIRE BAY (SU Lim) veered outwards at the start, bumping CALM AND TRANQUIL (App CK Khaw).
TRINITY HONOR (App N Varmah) struck the running rail at the 1000M when pulling hard.
SPARKLE LOT (S Ruzaini) raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding this, Jockey S Ruzaini advised that he had intended to come in as it had been trapped wide but then he elected to ease but STREET CHAMP which had commenced slowly, had improved behind him and he was unable to do so.
RACE 3 (R783) CLASS 4 (A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
SKY RACING ACTIVE STAKES
BLOOD ROYAL (App CK Khaw) and I AM THE BOSS (App S Zulfikri) were slow to begin.
FARDUS (S Ruzaini) raced greenly and passing the 900M, veered inwards, crowding MISE EN GARDE (HS Gill) which in turn caused VAIN TYCOON (J Shankar) to be restrained.
Jockey J Shankar (VAIN TYCOON) dropped his whip at about the 600M. He was warned that a repetition of dropping the whip in future would lead to a penalty being imposed.
Near the 400M, GALILEO’S APPROACH (App S Uzair) and SUPER HERO (KC Wong) brushed. GALILEO’S APPROACH then drifted out over the concluding three (3) strides.
A post-race veterinary examination of TRINITY GLORY (SU Lim) revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 4 (R784) CLASS 3 – 1300M (LONG COURSE)
TAB LIVE SKY RACING VISION STAKES
GUILTY PLEASURES (App N Varmah) was squeezed at the start when CHINO DINERO (App M Lukman) shifted out at the same time as RADICAL FORCE (J Daniel) shifted in. GUILTY PLEASURES then raced fiercely in the early stages.
Racing to the 900M, RADICAL FORCE pulled hard.
From its wide barrier, FUSION POWER (Y Aify) raced wide throughout, taking the turn into the straight wide.
GUILTY PLEASURES raced erratically in the straight and had to be straightened on several occasions.
Jockey J Shankar, the rider of PREMIUM RUSH, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of PREMIUM RUSH revealed no significant finding.

RACE 5 (R785) CLASS 3 – 1300M (LONG COURSE)
TAB STAKES
LISBOA STAR (App L De Souza) was slow to begin.
FIGHTING WARRIOR (J Low) veered outwards at the start, inconveniencing BILLION SENSE (App A Zaimuddin) which lost ground.
Near the 1000M, GLORIA MARIS (C Goon) was inclined to lay outwards, bumping RACE FOR FAME (J Shankar).
At the 950M, LIM’S PERSHING (SU Lim) raced fiercely, throwing its head.
LISBOA STAR raced wide and fiercely in the middle stages.
Near the 650M, LIM’S PERSHING (SU Lim) had to be steadied when striding onto the heels of GLORIA MARIS (C Goon). The Stewards opened an inquiry into Jockey SU Lim’s riding of LIM’S PERSHING and adjourned it to a date to be fixed. A post-race veterinary examination of LIM’S PERSHING revealed no significant finding.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that RACE FOR FAME returned having cast its off fore plate.

RACE 6 (R786) OPEN MAIDEN (WFA) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
FOREVER AND EVER (App CK Khaw) was presented on course with a Temporary Passport and was withdrawn under the provisions of MRA Regulation 10.1 which states that a horse shall not be permitted to start in a race without an Official Passport. Trainer WC Lim was reminded of his obligations to ensure all his horses have the correct documentations.
NASSEB (J Shankar) shifted out, bumping KOPI BING (R Shafiq) which in turn shifted out, bumping with FANTASTIC ECLIPSE (KC Wong).
Shortly after the start, PROVE IT (J Low) shifted in, crowding UPTOWN GIRL (J Daniel) which had to be steadied. PROVE IT continued to race greenly into the straight.
KOPI BING was inclined to lay inwards when struck with the whip near the 350M.
Jockey KC Wong (FANTASTIC ECLIPSE) dropped his whip near the 300M. He was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a).
UPTOWN GIRL (J Daniel) had to be steadied and taken outwards to obtain a clear run near 175M. The Stewards opened inquiry into the running and handling of UPTOWN GIRL and adjourned it to a date to be fixed.

RACE 7 (R787) CLASS 4 (B) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
TAB CREATE YOUR SPRING CALENDAR STAKES
After jumping awkwardly, LADY LAKSHMI (App P Mogun) was ridden wide throughout.
A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT PRIDE (J Low) revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
The Stewards questioned App P Mogun as to why he was looking sidewards whilst being loaded. He stated that he had advised the handler that LADY LAKSHMI was of gentle disposition and was not inclined to kick in assisting to load the mare. The Stewards advised App P Mogun that he should not act in any manner which could lead to suspicion.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SILENT PRINCE (App N Varmah) returned having cast its near fore plate.

RACE 8 (R788) CLASS 4 (B) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
TAB LONG MAY WE PLAY STAKES
ICHIKA BACHIKA (J Low) threw its head at the start and lost considerable ground. The Stewards opened an inquiry into this incident and adjourned it to a date to be fixed.
SPEEDY DEMON (J Daniel) veered inwards on jumping, crowding THAI BAHT (C Goon) which lost ground. SPEEDY DEMON raced erratically in the straight.
A post-race veterinary examination of PRESTO (App K Pavinthran) revealed that it was lame off fore and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

RACE 9 (R789) CLASS 5 (A) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
D’GREAT ACHIEVER (App CC Foo) jumped awkwardly and veered outwards, losing considerable ground. In assessing this incident, the Stewards believed that App CC Foo’s continued poor riding of horses from the start, required training. As such, App CC Foo is referred for specific start training, and is not permitted to ride in races until completed. D’GREAT ACHIEVER will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall Test before being declared to race again.
LIM’S KEYWAY (App A Zaimuddin) raced fiercely in the middle stages.
ALRALI (J Daniel) steadied slightly when crowded near the 25M.

RACE 10 (R790) CLASS 5 (B) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
On jumping, GOOD LUCKY (App CC Foo) veered inwards and severely checked TALISMAN (J Shankar) which caused LINING TOGETHER (App CK Khaw) to be checked, and inconvenienced GOLDEN DRAGON (App S Sia). In assessing this incident, the Stewards considered they could substantiate a charge of careless riding under the Rules, however, as previously, App CC Foo (GOOD LUCKY) was subjected to a retraining order, the Stewards issued a reprimand.
EXCALIBUR (App A Najib) raced extremely wide for the entire race. When questioned regarding this, App A Najib stated that EXCALIBUR usually led, however, from its wide barrier, he had been instructed to attempt to ride the gelding off the pace but had been unable to do so as it travelled too well.
Post-race veterinary examinations of TALISMAN and RAPTOR revealed that they were lame off fore and as such will each be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that GOOD LUCKY returned with a cut to its near hind leg.

SATURDAY, 3 OCTOBER 2020, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2020
Jockey R Rueven was fined RM1000/- under MRA Rule 44(2) for failing to arrive on course within the prescribed time.
AMENDMENT
TUESDAY, 22 SEPTEMBER, SLTC OFFICIAL BARRIER TEST / PRACTICE
A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that BAADSHAH returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and did not return having bled as initially reported. BAADSHAH will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test (after a 1-month embargo until 21 October 2020) before being declared to race again.

PERAK TURF CLUB SEPTEMBER MEETING 2020
The report dated 1 October 2020 (V20/066) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 18 bottles of coded urine samples and 18 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 20 September 2020, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
