GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC
TUESDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2022, SLTC OFFICIAL BARRIER TRIAL 5
Jockey WK Lee (ROBBEN) was reprimanded under the provisions of MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) for failing to straighten his mount, thereby crowding runners shortly after the start.
WEDNESDAY, 21 SEPTEMBER 2022
The Stewards, on 21 September 2022 at the Selangor Turf Club, inquired into the reason THUNDERGOD was entered to race on 28 August 2022 when no “Clearing Sample” had been received, analysed and cleared following an inquiry into the presence of flunixin in its urine sample after racing on 24 July 2022.
Trainer HY Cheng was subsequently fined RM1000/- for negligence in breaching MRA Rule 134(12) by entering THUNDERGOD to race on the 28th of August 2022, contrary to the provisions of that Rule.
Further, a veterinary examination of THUNDERGOD ascertained that the vision of the gelding was not impaired in any way and it was subsequently cleared to race.
RACE 4 (R1108) CLASS 5 (A) – 1500M (C4 SHORT COURSE), SUNDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2022, SELANGOR TURF CLUB SEPTEMBER MEETING 2022
The Stewards, on 21 September 2022 at the Selangor Turf Club, inquired into App I Fikri’s riding of BEAUTIFUL ONE over the concluding stages in the above race. Evidence was taken from App I Fikri, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, L Moy who is also the Trainer of BEAUTIFUL ONE.
Trainer L Moy stated that it was intended that BEAUTIFUL ONE be ridden midfield but due to the slow early pace, was positioned just behind the leader. He was pleased that the gelding had performed well to finish third.
App I Fikri advised that he had attempted to ride BEAUTIFUL ONE in a similar fashion to previous but advised that he had changed his whip style, which he considered was more effective.
In accepting this evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that App I Fikri had ridden BEAUTIFUL ONE in a manner so as to be fully tested when finishing third, five (5) lengths ahead of the fourth place horse.
