RACE 1 (R365) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
SO BEAUTIFUL (CK Khaw) jumped awkwardly.
JUBILATION (App R Nuqman) was slow into stride.
Near the 250M, HAPPY GHOST (App A Zaimuddin) shifted in with ZOLVED (L De Souza) steadying away from that gelding.
BLACK IS POWER (App S Uzair) laid outwards over the final 200M, inconveniencing EMPEROR WARRIOR (Y Aify). App S Uzair was warned that he must straighten his mount when they shift.
A post-race veterinary examination of JUBILATION revealed that the gelding returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of BELIEVE IT OR NOT (SU Lim) revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
RACE 2 (R366) CLASS 5 (A) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
D’GREAT SONG (CK Khaw) began awkwardly and threw its head, losing ground.
In the early stages, SELANGOR ROCKET (App A Zaimuddin) raced greenly.
TRINITY LAD (App R Nuqman) raced wide in the middle stages.
SUPER LINE (HS Gill) was inclined to lay outwards from the 800M until straightening.
A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT SONG (CK Khaw) revealed no significant finding.

RACE 3 (R367) CLASS 5 (A) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
STAY SOUND (App A Suriya) was slow into stride.
GENERAL ORDER (App AR Raiyan) was slow to begin.
Near the 800M, MIRACLE WE WEI (HS Gill) broke down and veered outwards, eventually being pulled up. This inconvenienced RISE OF THE LEGEND (J Low). The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that MIRACLE WEI WEI had fractured its near fore pastern and was subsequently humanely euthanized.
At the 550M, STAY SOUND had to be steadied when GENERAL ORDER rolled in. App AR Raiyan was warned that he must afford runners on his inside sufficient room.
The saddle on HAPPY START (App Clyde Leck) slipped backwards during running.
A post-race veterinary examination of TRINITY SPIRIT (App R Nuqman) revealed no significant finding.

RACE 4 (R368) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
PEARL DANCER (C Goon) veered outwards at the start at the same time as REALITY (J Daniel) shifted in onto WARRIOR KING (J Low) with MURDOCH (App N Varmah) being tightened for room, losing ground.
WARRIOR KING (J Low) raced fiercely in the early stages.
D’GREAT DUCHESS (S Zulfikri) was ridden wide throughout.
ACROBAT (J De Souza) drifted out over the concluding stages. The Stewards inquired into Jockey J De Souza’s riding of ACROBAT prior to straightening particularly why he had elected to come to the inside after being committed to a run outside of ELITE SAINT (HS Gill). He stated that he had been tracking ELITE SAINT for the entire race and believed that the gelding would tire, he had elected to come to the inside as he believed this to be a better option as he knew MISE EN GARDE (CK Khaw) would take him into the straight and he would have an option to go to the inside or outside of that mare.
The Stewards also questioned Jockey CK Khaw (MISE EN GARDE) who advised that he had not been appealed to at any stage and was unaware which horse had progressed on his inside. He further advised that he had simply allowed MISE EN GARDE to drift out slightly after straightening as the mare was comfortable in doing this.

RACE 5 (R369) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
ELISE (HS Gill) was slow into stride.
WHITE PEACH (App Clyde Leck) was tightened between WOW (App S Uzair) and SCOOBY DOOBY DOO (C Goon) on jumping, losing ground.
READY TO ROLL (J De Souza) shifted in, bumping BILLY MOJO (J Low) at the start.
Near the 1100M, BIG KING (App R Nuqman) checked severely. On inquiry, it was established that BIG KING was tightened for room when RED SYMPHONY (R Rueven) shifted in onto BACH’S AIR (Z Zuriman) which pressured HIGH TENSILE (L De Souza). At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey R Rueven, the rider of RED SYMPHONY, was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) for shifting in at this stage.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey R Rueven’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) Malaysian race days with effect from 3 May 2021 and to expire on 15 May 2021, both dates inclusive. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards deferred the commencement of his suspension. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
A post-race veterinary examination of HIGH TENSILE revealed that it was lame near fore and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R370) OPEN MAIDEN (WFA) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
After being placed in the stalls, KOPI BING (C Goon) broke through riderless and was subsequently withdrawn at 3:09pm. Trainer SY Lim was advised that KOPI BING will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.
When being loaded UNLIMITED STAR (J De Souza) reared over and escaped. After being captured, the gelding was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to start. Trainer R Lines was advised that UNLIMITED STAR will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.
ALICEINWONDERLAND (App M Lukman) proved difficult to load. Trainer MW Teh was advised that ALICEINWONDERLAND will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.
I AM DRAGON (App AR Raiyan) was slow to begin.
SLEEPY JOE (J Low) veered inwards at the start, bumping ALICEINWONDERLAND.
Near the 850M, SLEEPY JOE had to check. At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey Y Aify, the rider of NASSEB, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that for shifting in at this stage, crowding CHAMPION KING (Z Zuriman) causing SLEEPY JOE to check.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey Y Aify’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) Malaysian race days with effect from 3 May 2021 and to expire on 15 May 2021, both dates inclusive. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards deferred the commencement of his suspension. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
ALICEINWONDERLAND strode onto the heels of UNLIMITED STAR at the 450M and blundered, dislodging App M Lukman. I AM DRAGON which was following, was inconvenienced in this incident. App M Lukman was examined by the Club Doctor who stood him down from his riding engagements for the remainder of the races today. An inquiry will be conducted at a later stage.
STAR TALENT (L De Souza) raced greenly throughout.

RACE 7 (R371) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
From their wide barriers, SG TALENT (S Muniandy) and LIM’S TORPEDO (L De Souza) raced wide throughout.
MYO (J De Souza) was held tight in the straight.
When racing in close proximity, App A Suriya (CHINO DINERO) accidentally struck SUN SEEKER (SU Lim) on the nose with his whip on 2 occasions. CHINO DINERO attempted to savage SUN SEEKER on the winning post. App A Suriya was advised that he should moderate the use of his whip when in close proximity with other runners.
A post-race veterinary examination of GOODFELLAS (HS Gill) revealed no significant finding.
A post-race veterinary examination of POMP (R Rueven) revealed that it was lame near fore and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
LIM’S TORPEDO returned having cast its near fore plate.

RACE 8 (R372) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
STRAP MARKS was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 12:45pm when the Stewards considered a request from Trainer R Lines to withdraw the gelding. The Stewards opened an inquiry into the bona fide of the reason withdrawal and adjourned the inquiry to a date to be fixed. Further, the Trainer’s representative was advised that under the provisions of MRA Rule 97(2), STRAP MARKS would not be permitted to be entered to race until such time as the inquiry was concluded.
Acting on veterinary advice that LEO had sustained a minor cut to its near hind leg, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 4:17pm. The gelding will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
CERDAN (J De Souza) shifted inwards at the start, crowding TRIPLE ONE STAR (L De Souza)
GUILTY PLEASURES (App A Suriya) was ridden wide throughout. When questioned, App A Suriya stated that the gelding had raced fiercely and he had been reluctant to put GUILTY PLEASURES close to the leader DIAMONDS as he feared that GUILTY PLEASURES would over-raced. Trainer C Leck stated that he instructed App A Suriya to race in 2nd or 3rd position but added that App A Suriya must have GUILTY PLEASURES on his left lead on straightening as the gelding had a propensity to lay inwards. The Stewards advised App A Suriya that he should endeavour to ride his horse so as to leave no room for query.
Jockey J Daniel was questioned regarding his riding on DIAMOND SET over the concluding stages. He stated that DIAMOND SET felt uneven in its action and had changed legs in its final stages. He was of the opinion he had ridden the gelding out accept for the final 2 strides. The Stewards accepted Jockey J Daniel’s explanation and believed his riding had not caused DIAMOND SET a placing, but he was reminded of his obligations to ride every mount out to the end of the race. A post-race veterinary examination of DIAMOND SET revealed no significant finding.

RACE 9 (R373) SUPREME B – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
DESIRE SKY (CK Khaw) was withdrawn at 3:50pm when it was established that the gelding had not been presented at the pre-race sample collection unit. The Stewards interviewed Trainer R Lines’ Assistant Trainer who advised that the stable staff erroneously believing that the gelding was an emergency runner and subsequently had not prepared DESIRE SKY to come to the track.
SPLENDOR (App S Uzair) jumped awkwardly.
RISING GLORY (J De Souza) raced wide in the middle stages.
Jockey S Muniandy (MR HANKS) dropped his whip at the 400M. He was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a)

RACE 3 (R323) CLASS 5 (A) – 1500M (LONG COURSE), SUNDAY, 18 APRIL 2021, SELANGOR TURF CLUB APRIL MEETING 2021
Jockey KC Wong (BERLINETTA) subsequently exercised his Right of Appeal and applied for a Stay of Sentence. The Stewards considered the application for a stay which was granted. The appeal will be held at a date to be fixed.

RACE 10 (R299) CLASS 5 (A) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE), SATURDAY, 10 APRIL 2021, SELANGOR TURF CLUB APRIL MEETING 2021
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey CK Khaw, the rider of ASIA,
period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 12 April 2021 and to expire on 18 April 2021, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
TUESDAY, 13 APRIL 2021, SLTC OFFICIAL BARRIER TEST / PRACTICE
After consideration, the Stewards have decided to rescind the 1 Starting Stall test imposed on GHOST BAY.

The report dated 23 April 2021 (V21/026) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 2 bottles of coded urine samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 18 April 2021, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected except for sample coded “J-4211” which revealed the presence of mitragynine.
It was established that this sample was received from App AB Riduan. Acting under the provisions of MRA Rule 136(3)(b), App AB Riduan was stood down from riding in races / barrier trials / trackwork on 23 April 2021. An inquiry into this finding will be conducted at a date to be fixed.
