RACE 1 (R967) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
EAGLE SOAR (S Ruzaini) threw its head and veered outwards at the start, and this inconvenienced BUKIT SUBANG (KC Wong). EAGLE SOAR then raced wide throughout and laid outwards in the straight. In light of the gelding’s performance, it will be required to pass a 1000M/vet (from the starting stall) test before being declared to race again.
Passing the 1000M, MIRACLE WEI WEI (R Rueven) when crossed by LADY BOSS (AK Lim), dipped and lost ground. At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey AK Lim, the rider of LADY BOSS, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii).
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey AK Lim’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, current riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) Malaysian race days with effect from 23 November 2020 and to expire on 5 December 2020, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
Approaching the 800M, TRUMPS UP (J Shankar) and GIN GO GIN (App R Nuqman) bumped with WINTERFELL (App CK Khaw) and crowded on the inside. Shortly after this, BELIEVE IT OR NOT (SU Lim) veered outwards, carrying MIRACLE WEI WEI (R Rueven) wide on the track.
A post-race veterinary examination of BUKIT SUBANG (KC Wong) revealed that it returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of LADY BOSS revealed that it returned with a laceration on the both hinds. The mare will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 2 (R968) CLASS 5 (A) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
SPORTS TOTO 5D STAKES
After being loaded into the stalls, HAPPY DAYZ (J Daniel) tried to get down underneath the front gate, and injured Jockey J Daniel’s shoulder. HAPPY DAYZ was subsequently withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 1:02pm and will be required to pass 1 Starting Stall test before being declared to race again. Jockey J Daniel was examined by the Club Doctor and stood down for the remainder of the races today.
Due to the considerable delay, CATAPULT (App CK Khaw) stood flat-footed, missing the start by considerable margin.
Jockey KC Wong (D’GREAT LOVE) was questioned regarding the performance of D’GREAT LOVE. He stated that due to the delay, the mare which had a barrier blanket in the stalls, had not accelerated quickly when the start was affected and he found himself further back and had to niggle the mare due to the fast early pace. He was also of the opinion that 1100M was too short for D’GREAT LOVE.

RACE 3 (R969) OPEN MAIDEN – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
SPORTS TOTO 6D STAKES
ARTEMISIA OF CARIA (S Ruzaini) which was fractious in the stalls, struck the outside gate on jumping, losing considerable ground.
LIMIT UP (App CK Khaw) veered outwards at the start.
PACIFIC MISSION (SU Lim) was slow into stride.
Shortly after the start, the saddle of SLEEPY JOE (App S Uzair) slipped backwards badly, placing App S Uzair at a disadvantage.
LIMIT UP and WINDOW OF TIME (R Rueven) raced greenly.

RACE 4 (R970) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
SPORTS TOTO 4D ZODIAC STAKES
HORSEH (HS Gill) veered outwards on jumping, striking the hindquarters of SILENT PRINCE (App A Suriya).
SILENT PRINCE and HORSEH bumped on several occasions inside the 1100M, then HORSEH raced erratically and wide in the straight.
At the 1000M, STEEL CUTTER (App R Nuqman) had to be restrained when striding onto the heels of VETRI (S Ruzaini).
In the straight, SILENT PRINCE laid inwards, crowding HORSEH.

RACE 5 (R971) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
SPORTS TOTO 6/50 STAKES
WINGED FOOT (KC Wong) was slow into stride.
TRUST AND HONOUR (HS Gill) was slow to begin and was ridden wide throughout, taking the turn into the straight extremely wide. When questioned regarding this, Jockey HS Gill stated that he had intended to take up a position in the field, however with a packed field and some interference in front of him, he had been reluctant to be positioned behind this. Further, TRUST AND HONOUR had also failed to respond to his riding in the straight.
Near the 1000M, ELITE GENERAL (App A Zaimuddin) which was racing fiercely, had to be restrained off the heels of BLUE HAWAII (App K Pavinthran) when that horse shifted ground.
Near the 300M, Jockey Y Aify (NOVA RANGER) momentarily lost control of his whip.
Near the 175M, ELITE GENERAL shifted out, carrying NOVA RANGER which in turn inconvenienced MARTIN VJ (SU Lim). App A Zaimuddin was reprimanded for shifting ground at this stage.
MARTIN VJ returned having cast its near hind plate.

RACE 6 (R972) SUPREME A – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
SPORTS TOTO 6/58 STAKES
METIER STAR (App CK Khaw) was slow to begin and veered outwards on jumping.
ELITE INVINCIBLE (HS Gill) jumped awkwardly.
Running to the 950M, GALILEO’S APPROACH (App S Uzair) shifted in, crowding GOLDEN TYCOON (Y Aify) causing that gelding to be eased. Shortly after this, GALILEO’S APPROACH which was racing fiercely, veered in and had to be restrained from the heels of BROWCOW (AK Lim). App S Uzair was warned that he must maintain better control of his mounts in future.

RACE 7 (R973) CLASS 4 (A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
SPORTS TOTO 4D JACKPOT STAKES
STAR INVINCIBLE (Y Aify) which was standing awkwardly when the start was affected, threw its head in the air and lose considerable ground. START INVINCIBLE then raced wide throughout.
BUFFALO SOLDIER (R Shafiq) veered outwards at the start, bumping LIM’S SPHERE (App S Uzair) which in turn shifted ground, causing GRASSWOOD STAR (HS Gill) to lose ground.
VOYAGER (SU Lim) was slow into stride.
CREATE ABUNDANCE (S Ruzaini) and TRIPLE ONE STAR (App CK Khaw) brushed shortly after the start.
App R Nuqman who rode his 10th winner on LIM’S CASINO in this race, would only be entitled to claim 3kgs allowance as from Monday, 23 November 2020.
A post-race veterinary examination of BUFFALO SOLDIER revealed no significant finding.

RACE 8 (R974) SUPREME A – 1600M (LONG COURSE)
SPORTS TOTO SUPREME CHALLENGE CUP 2020
RISING GLORY (KC Wong) and MR HOPKINS (J Shankar) were slow into stride.
BLACK THORN (R Shafiq) was inclined to lay inwards from the 250M.
GLORIA MARIS (HS Gill) shifted inwards from the heels of the tiring GARIZA (Z Zuriman) near 100M and crowded SHOQEET (W Faizal).
NOT USUAL PRINCE (R Rueven) had to be eased near the 50M when striding onto the heels GARIZA.
SHANGHAI NIGHTS (SU Lim) drifted outwards over the 25M.

RACE 9 (R975) CLASS 3 – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
POWER TOTO 6/55 STAKES
FIRST PRECINCT (KC Wong) and EBRAZ (R Rueven) were slow into stride.
After being slow to begin GOD HELPS ME (App CK Khaw) showed no early pace.
App CK Khaw advised that he had attempted to wake the gelding up, striking with the whip to get it to race competitively but to no avail. Further that he had dropped the whip at the 600M mark, then at the 250M. App CK Khaw was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip.
The saddle tree of Jockey S Ruzaini (MOMENT OF JUSTICE) broke near the 1250M, placing him at a disadvantage in riding his mount out.
ISFAHAN (Z Zuriman) was inclined to lay inwards from the 125M.
Jockey R Rueven (EBRAZ) was questioned as to his riding of EBRAZ, as to why after he had missed the start, had led on the gelding. He advised that he had been instructed to be in a handy position and pushed forward but believed the pace was not fast and fearing that he would be trapped wide and had allowed EBRAZ striding to the lead. He was of the opinion that the pace was only moderate, and this was preferable to being trapped wide. A post-race veterinary examination of EBRAZ revealed no significant finding.
HIGH COUNCIL (App K Pavinthran) returned having cast its near fore plate.
RACE 10 (R976) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
SPORTS TOTO 4D STAKES
JET TWENTY (HK Cheng) bounded at the start, losing considerable ground.
Near the 125M, JET TWENTY was taken outwards, causing GHOST AFFAIR (App R Nuqman) to check and to bump with TRINITY ELITE (AK Lim) which in turn shifted ground, inconvenienced WILLIAM KING (HS Gill) and CALM AND TRANQUIL (App CK Khaw).
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey HK Cheng, the rider of JET TWENTY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that shifted outwards at this stage.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey HK Cheng’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) Malaysian race days with effect from 30 November 2020 and to expire on 13 December 2020, both dates inclusive. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards deferred the commencement his suspension. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
EASTER MATE (App A Zaimuddin) was held tight on the inside of WINNING WAR (S Ruzaini) over the concluding 150M when that gelding shifted ground. Jockey S Ruzaini was advised that he must afford runners on his inside a sufficient galloping room.
DROUGHT (App A Suriya) drifted out quickly over the concluding stages. App A Suriya was advised to keep his mount straight.

Acting on veterinary advice that FIRST SUCCESS (J Shankar) was lame near fore, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 5:59pm. FIRST SUCCESS will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
SUNNY (SU Lim) was squeezed at the start.
FIRST PASSTHE POST (App CK Khaw) jumped outwards and bumped VERGLATICA (App A Suriya) which jumped inwards.
GOD OF WAR (Y Aify) raced wide throughout.
A post-race veterinary examination of O’REILLY’S DREAM (AK Lim) revealed no significant finding.

GENERAL REPORT(S) – PRTC
PERAK TURF CLUB
STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORT
POST- RACE URINE SAMPLE REPORT FOR SUNDAY, 1ST NOVEMBER 2020 DURING THE PERAK OCTOBER/NOVEMBER RACE MEETING 2020.
The report dated 13th November 2020 (V20/085) from the Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics Laboratory stated that 36 bottles of coded urine samples and 37 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on the 1st November 2020 for analysis under MRA Rules and Regulations.
No prohibited substances were detected except for samples coded “28235” which upon analysis, was tested positive to “Parecoxib, Valdecoxib”, a prohibited substance.
Upon decoding, it was established that sample coded “28235” was taken from GRAND SHOW, which finished 3rd placing in Race 1 (R892) on Sunday, 1st November, 2020 race meeting.
On Tuesday, 17th November 2020, Trainer KC Tiang, the trainer of GRAND SHOW was advised regarding the analyst report from Usains Biomics Laboratory. Trainer KC Tiang’s attention was also drawn to the contents of MRA Rule 134(12), which prohibits GRAND SHOW from being nominated until it is cleared by the Stewards and his attention was also drawn to MRA Rule 137(1) and MRA Regulations 46.1 and 46.2 relating to referee samples. An inquiry will be held at a date to be fixed.
