RACE 1 (R957) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
ELF’S DREAM (S Ruzaini) threw its head on jumping, losing ground.
GOOD LUCKY (App CK Khaw) was slow into stride.
LINING TOGETHER (R Shafiq) veered outwards at the start, bumping ELITE ROCKET (App A Zaimuddin) with LINING TOGETHER losing ground.
App R Nuqman (BARKER ROAD KID) lost his whip near 300M when struck with the whip of Jockey SU Lim (TRINITY FLYING).

RACE 2 (R958) CLASS 5 (A) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE)
D’GREAT STRIKE (R Shafiq) and SUPER DRAGON (W Faizal) bumped on jumping in the early and middle stages, and ZHUHAI (App S Zulfikri) raced wide.
At the 900M, ASTRO MAN (App A Zaimuddin) steadied when HERO CHAMPION (J Daniel) rolled in.
D’GREAT ACHIEVER (App S Sia) raced wide throughout, taking the turn into the straight wide.
D’GREAT STRIKE tended to lay in from the 300M with Jockey R Shafiq having trouble extricating the gelding to continue to lay in for the remainder of the race.
D’GREAT ACHIEVER was inclined to lay inwards in the straight.
Jockey R Rueven (MAJOR GREEN) lost his off side stirrup iron for no apparent reason.
The surcingle on HAPPY GHOST (App R Nuqman) broke during running.
A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT STRIKE revealed that it returned with a laceration on the near hind. The gelding will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 3 (R959) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
HARVEYWALLBANGER (KC Wong) bounded at the start.
KALA GHODA (J Shankar) shifted out, crowding HARVEYWALLBANGER.
HERACROSS (R Shafiq) dwelt at the start, losing ground.
BIG BUS (HS Gill) jumped inwards, crowing WARRIOR KING (App M Lukman) which lost ground.
From its wide barrier, KASWAR (Y Aify) raced wide throughout.
Passing 250M HARVEYWALLBANGER (KC Wong) steadied when crossed by ORIENT EXPRESS (AK Lim). Jockey AK Lim was reprimanded for careless riding and warned that a repetition would result in a suspension.
Jockey W Faizal (GROUND ATTACK) was questioned as to the reason why GROUND ATTACK was ridden in a rearward position. He said that the gelding had been loaded first and had “switched off” before start was affected and he had been unable to get it to race in a forward position. He had ridden GROUND ATTACK positively and urged the gelding but it failed to make ground until straightening.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ORIENT EXPRESS and MAREA NEGRO revealed that both horses bled and will each be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will each be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of HERACROSS revealed no significant finding.

RACE 4 (R960) OPEN MAIDEN – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
BAMSI BEY (J Shankar) was withdrawn at 12.51pm when injured in the sampling unit.
MAKE DREAM (KC Wong) was slow into stride,
THE SWAN (App A Suriya) threw its head sideways when the start was affected, losing ground.
A post-race veterinary examination of DEEBAJ (Y Aify) revealed that it was lame off fore and short stride on both hinds, and as such will be required to pass a 1000M/vet test before being declared to race again.
PROVE IT (J Daniel) returned having cast its off hind plate.
A post-race veterinary examination of MAKE DREAM revealed that it returned with a laceration on the near hind. The gelding will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 5 (R961) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200M (SHORT COURSE)
Before the race, the saddle off ORIENTAL SPIRIT (App CK Khaw) had to be readjusted.
TIME TO INVEST (App R Nuqman) was slow to begin.
KULIM WINGS (Y Aify) was slow into stride.
CALLIXTUS (KC Wong) raced wide in the early and middle stages.
TIME TO INVEST was squeezed at the start, losing ground.
App R Nuqman was questioned regarding his ride on TIME TO INVEST. He stated that after being tightened at the start, he had been in a rearward position but had to push the gelding throughout.
Trainer BT Lim stated that he expected TIME TO INVEST to be ridden in a rearward positon, given the short distance of this race, he had been surprised that the gelding had made considerable ground in the straight and he believed the gelding is better suited over the 1600M.
A post-race veterinary examination of CALLIXTUS (KC Wong) revealed that the mare bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3) and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
SUN COIN (SU Lim) retuned having cast its off hind plate.

RACE 6 (R962) CLASS 3 – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
SATTAR (J Shankar) jumped awkwardly and veered out, inconvenienced DESIRE SKY (HK Cheng).
SACRED TONIC (App CK Khaw) jumped with its head in the air, losing ground.
EI TORDILLO (HS Gill) was slow to begin.
BIG BANK (App C Mogun) veered outwards at the start.
CHINO DINERO (App M Lukman) was forced to race wide of a tightly packed field between the 1000M and the turn into the straight.
Approaching the 900M, SACRED TONIC had to be steadied to avoid the heels of LIM’S EVOLUTION (App A Zaimuddin) when that gelding veered out awkwardly.
LARSON (KC Wong) had to be steadied when LIM’S EVOLUTION rolled inwards passing the 225M. App A Zaimuddin was warned that he must keep his mounts straight.
DUTROW (S Ruzaini) was inclined to hang in over the final 50M.

RACE 7 (R963) CLASS 4(A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
METAGROSS (KC Wong) jumped awkwardly, losing ground.
ARROGATE ACHIEVER (App A Suriya) was slow into stride.
Passing the 850M, ATLANTIC ARROW (J Daniel) shifted in, crowding PACIFIC MYSTICAL (HS Gill) which shifted in, causing BELLA VELOCE (R Rueven) to be restrained. Jockey J Daniel was reprimanded for failing to afford sufficient room for runners on his inside.
A post-race veterinary examination of ATLANTIC ARROW which was eased down in the straight revealed that it returned with a bumper injury on the off hind. The gelding will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of KENG MAK MAK (J Shankar) revealed that it returned with a laceration on the near hind medial bulb of the heel. The gelding will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 8 (R964) CLASS 4 (A) – 1700M (LONG COURSE)
ULURU (SU Lim) became fractious in the stalls prior to the start. Acting on veterinary advice that ULURU had sustained a laceration on the off hind, the gelding was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 4:17pm. ULURU will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
D’GREAT LIGHT (KC Wong), O’WHAT A FEELING (Y Aify) and TARZAN (AK Lim) were slow to begin.
FIRST LIGHT (App CK Khaw) veered outwards at the start.
In the early stages, AIDEHOUR (S Ruzaini) raced wide and was inclined to lay outwards. Jockey S Ruzaini explained that he had wished to secure a midfield position, however, the field was packed up on his inside and he had been unable to secure a position.
AIDEHOUR was inclined to lay outwards away from horses on its inside. A post-race veterinary examination of AIDEHOUR (R Ruzaini) revealed that it returned with a laceration on the off hind. The gelding will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT OCEAN (R Shafiq) revealed no significant finding.

RACE 9 (R965) CLASS 5 (A) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
D’GREAT SPEED (AK Lim) reared at the start, losing ground.
SHA NA NA (J Daniel) and WONDER BB (App M Lukman) were slow into stride.
GIGANTE DEL ANDRE (R Rueven) was slow to begin.
In the early stages, TRINITY REVIVAL (SU Lim) raced wide.
Running to the 1000M, KYO (App CK Khaw) shifted in when tightened slightly by D’GREAT SPEED and thereafter crowded NOVA PHOENIX which had to be restrained. On inquiry, App CK Khaw was warned that he must exercise greater caution.
Jockey R Shafiq (MAPLE RISING) dropped his whip at the 1000M. He explained that this had occurred when he attempted take another hold of the gelding, however, having taken into consideration his previous record of having dropped the whip in races, Jockey R Shafiq was fined RM2000/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a).
A post-race veterinary examination of PERFECT KIARA (App S Uzair) revealed that it returned with a laceration on the off hind. The mare will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 10 (R966) CLASS 5 (B) – 1400M (LONG COURSE)
RED SAPPHIRE (KC Wong) was slow into stride.
In the early stages, TALISMAN (AK Lim) and ANAK WARRIOR (App S Uzair) raced wide.
MERCHANT MARINE (App A Suriya) was inclined to over-race in the early stages.
App A Zaimuddin (SIX EMPIRE) reported that his saddle slipped forward at about the 1000M, but rectified itself in the straight.
App M Lukman (YULONG HOLY FLYING) was questioned with regards to the manner in which he used his whip. After taking initial evidence, the inquiry was adjourned to allow for further consideration.

GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC
RACE 4 (R927) MAX TWO STAKES (SW) – 1400M (LONG COURSE) & RACE 7 (R930) CLASS 4 (A) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE), SUNDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 2020, SELANGOR TURF CLUB NOVEMBER MEETING 2020
An inquiry into the reason for CHER (S Ruzaini) checking at 150M was concluded on 17 November 2020 at the Selangor Turf Club. Jockey Y Aify (GOLDEN SLAM) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he shifted in at that stage causing CHER to check.
After taking into consideration all elements of the case and Jockey Y Aify’s plea and mitigation, he was suspended from riding in races for a period of five (5) Malaysian race days.
Further (in Race 7 on 15 November 2020), the Stewards concluded an inquiry into the reasons why I AM THE BOSS (App S Zulfikri) clipped the heels of LINCOLN MOONLIGHT (Y Aify) near the 400M and dipped. Jockey Y Aify (LINCOLN MOONLIGHT) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he shifted out at that stage.
After taking into consideration all elements of the case and Jockey Y Aify’s plea and mitigation, he was subsequently suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) Malaysian race days, to be served cumulatively with any other penalty.
The Stewards deferred the commencement of Jockey Y Aify’s suspension under the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), and he was suspended with effect from 23 November 2020 and to expire on 27 December 2020, both dates inclusive.
INQUIRY INTO A REPORT CONCERNING URINE SAMPLE CODED “J-4179” WHICH WAS TAKEN ON 18 OCTOBER 2020 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB
OCTOBER MEETING 2020, WAS FOUND TO CONTAIN MITRAGYNINE
The Stewards conducted an inquiry on Wednesday, 11 November 2020 into the Analyst’s Report that Sample Coded “J-4179” which was taken on 18 October 2020 at the Selangor Turf Club October Meeting 2020, was found to contain mitragynine. Evidence was taken from Jockey C Goon from whom the sample was taken and Dr Chan Sue Hay, the Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics.
Jockey C Goon was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 136(3)(b) with having supplied a sample at the Selangor Turf Club on 18 October 2020 which upon analysis, was found to contain the prohibited, mitragynine.
In considering a penalty, the Stewards took into account; personal aspects as enunciated by Jockey C Goon, that there was only one prior case in Malaysia of a like substance, that Jockey C Goon had been stood down from races, trials and trackwork since 25 October 2020, as such Jockey C Goon’s current Jockey’s licence was suspended from 11 November 2020 until midnight 24 January 2021.

The report dated 19 November 2020 (V20/090) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 29 bottles of coded urine samples and 31 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 15 November 2020, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
