RACE 7 (R1050) SUPREME B – 1400M (LONG COURSE)

He had therefore felt that the gelding was uncomfortable in its stride when riding it out in the straight, PREMIUM RUSH had shifted in considerably. A post-race veterinary examination of PREMIUM RUSH revealed no significant finding.
Jockey SU Lim (NOVA FALCON) was questioned regarding his ride on NOVA FALCON in the early stages. He stated that from his wide barrier, he had been trapped wide and had eased back in an endeavour to race closer to the fence, however at the same time, the field sprinted and this had increased the distance between him and other horses. He believed that NOVA FALCON had only raced moderately in the straight although having been ridden strongly.

The Racing Stewards overruled the objection. SPIN FIRE shifted out passing 200M, brushing MY GOODNESS, which was then inclined to shift in, carrying SPIN FIRE inwards over the final 75M. RACE 9 (R1023) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100M (SHORT COURSE), SATURDAY, 5 DECEMBER 2020, SELANGOR TURF CLUB DECEMBER MEETING 2020
The Stewards, on 6 December 2020 (Sunday), concluded the inquiry into Apprentice A Zaimuddin’s riding of ELEGANT. He explained that he had ridden ELEGENT in the same fashion as he had developed with a limited usage of the whip. He further stated that he had reacted quickly and pulled sharply on the gelding to stop it shifting in as App CK Khaw (D’GREAT LUCK) who was racing on his inside near the 100M had shouted. The Stewards accepted App A Zaimuddin’s explanation.
RACE 8 (R867) SUPREME A (SW) – 1600M (LONG COURSE), SUNDAY, 25 OCTOBER 2020, SELANGOR TURF CLUB OCTOBER MEETING 2020
The inquiry into App N Varmah’s riding of TARGET in the initial stages was concluded on 5 December 2020 (Saturday). The delay in reconvening was caused by Trainer C Leck having to adhere to Covid 19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and that App N Varmah was on medical leave outside of Selangor.
App N Varmah explained that his instructions and intention had been to ride in a handy position but TARGET was a poor mannered horse in the barrier and had not begun quickly. Trainer C Leck confirmed the instructions and TARGET’s intractability. The Stewards issued a warning to App N Varmah to be ready and vigilant at the start.
