RACE 1 (R1107) CLASS 5 – 1600m(lc) – TEMENGGOR LAKE HANDICAP
READY FORTUNE, a course scratching as it had a corneal ulcer in its left eye, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
SING EXPRESS which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
DUE HOME (J De Souza) jumped away awkwardly, unbalancing its rider and shortly after the start, shifted in, resulting in BEAUTY ADMIRE (C Goon) being checked. As a result, BEAUTY ADMIRE lost ground and showed no early pace despite being urged.
JACKPOT (App AM Aizat) jumped away awkwardly, unbalancing its rider and shifted out and bumped FASTNET STAR (L Sofhan).
CONQUISTADOR (App AK Lim) jumped away awkwardly and brushed the outside gate.
DUE HOME had to be checked to avoid the heels of GREAT PRINCE (App KC Tham) racing to the 1400M.
GREAT PRINCE had to be steadied on several occasions over the heels of ALACARTE (SU Lim) racing to the 1300M.
BALBOA (HS Gill) laid out under pressure over the concluding 200M.
Post-race veterinary examinations of BEAUTY ADMIRE, PRINCE ISLANDER (Z Khairil), JACKPOT and CONQUISTADOR revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BEAUTY ADMIRE returned having cast its near fore plate.

RACE 2 (R1108) CLASS 5 – 1600m(lc) – TELUK INTAN LEANING TOWER HANDICAP
LUCK HAPPY and DROUGHT, both course scratching as they had sustained a bruised near fore cannon and a nail prick in its off fore foot respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
PISCES JET (J De Souza) steadied racing to the 600M to avoid the heels of SPIRIT OF SPEED (C Goon).
App S Saddam and App AK Lim, the rider of SERPICO and PURE RABID respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of PURE RABID revealed no obvious abnormality and SERPICO returned lame off fore. As such, SERPICO will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of APROBACION (G Pereira) and PISCES JET revealed no obvious abnormality and SPIRIT OF SPEED which returned broken-winded and was struck upon both hind cannon, will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 3 (R1109) CLASS 5 – 1200m(lc) – TAIPING LAKE GARDEN HANDICAP
Emergency acceptor WE’RE THE WORLD is withdrawn due to a capacity field.
BANDA SEA (App AM Aizat) and GLORY KID (CK Tan) were slow to begin.
GREAT GERONIMO (HS Gill) jumped away awkwardly.
SIR RALLY (C Goon) shifted in shortly after the start, crowding V RESPECT U (App KC Tham) in onto SECOND CHANCE (F Yap), causing SECOND CHANCE to be tightened for room and became unbalanced. Jockey C Goon, the rider of SIR RALLY was shown the video of the incident and was warned to exercise more care under similar circumstance in future.
SIR RALLY laid out racing to the 800M and raced wide for a short distance.
GOOD TASTE (M Yusri), GREAT GERONIMO and CLASSIC ARROW (App M Sathiaa) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
CANDY SODA (J Chuah) laid out under pressure over the concluding stages of the race.
App M Sathiaa, the rider of CLASSIC ARROW reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of CLASSIC ARROW revealed that the gelding returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of BANDA SEA, ARLO (L Sofhan) and V RESPECT U revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (R1110) CLASS 4 – 1200m(lc) – SUNGAI KLAH HOT SPRING PARK HANDICAP
OUR RIVER DANCER, a course scratching as it had cellulites off fore leg, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptor TRAVERTINE is withdrawn due to a capacity field.
SLING SHOT (HS Gill) and WHIRLWIND (App WK Lee) bumped on jumping away.
HENNESSY DRAGON (C Goon) jumped away awkwardly inward and bumped LUCK DRAGON (App KC Tham) onto COMMON SENSE (F Yap) which in turn bumped MR EPIC (S Anandan). As a result, MR EPIC lost its position.
WHISPERINTHEWIND (CK Tan) jumped away awkwardly, throwing its head up.
MESSI (App M Sathiaa) and LUCK DRAGON showed no early pace, despite being urged.
Passing the 800M, WHIRLWIND shifted inward in anticipation of the short course turn, resulting in CHARLIES MISSILE (App AK Lim) having to be steadied and then as a consequence, OUR FRIENDLY DIVA (L Sofhan) being checked and PURPLE RAIN LADY (WK Yan) which was following, had to avoid the heels of OUR FRIENDLY DIVA.
Jockey WK Yan, the rider of PURPLE RAIN LADY reported that the filly raced greenly throughout.
Post-race veterinary examinations of COMMON SENSE, OUR FRIENDLY DIVA, WHISPERINTHEWIND and PURPLE RAIN LADY revealed no obvious abnormality.
Jockey SU Lim who rode his 80th winner on CHERISH and will now be eligible to claim 1kg with effect from Monday, 4th September 2017.

RACE 5 (R1111) CLASS 4 – 1200m (lc) – RUSTIC TAIPING HANDICAP
JOHNNY’S CAFÉ and WINGED FOOT, both course scratching as they had sustained a sore near fore fetlock and nail prick near fore, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
BIG BIT COIN which was up 27kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
MAGICAL TEN (J Chuah) jumped away awkwardly inward, making contact with HORSE WARRIOR (HS Gill) which had to be checked.
HORSE WARRIOR and ZHAN SHEN (App M Sathiaa) raced wide from the 700M until entering the straight.
The saddle on MULTIBLUE RANCHO (F Yap) slipped forward during the running.
Jockey M Zairi, the rider of BIG BIT COIN reported that his mount could not handle the going. A post-race veterinary examination of BIG BIT COIN revealed that the gelding returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of HORSE WARRIOR, MR NEWMAN (App S Saddam), MARINI WALTZ (App AK Lim), MULTIBLUE RANCHO and HERE COMES THUNDER (C Goon) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 6 (R1112) CLASS 5 – 1800m (sc) – TUA PEK KONG TEMPLE HANDICAP
MEGUSTO (SU Lim), LEAP OF FAITH (CK Tan) and TIME TO SHINE (App S Saddam) jumped away awkwardly.
MEGUSTO and NATION THEATRE (C Goon) raced wide from the first turn.
Post-race veterinary examinations of MEGUSTO, SOCOTRA (HS Gill), CROWN TREASURE (M Yusri) revealed no obvious abnormality and NATION THEATRE revealed that the gelding had returned lame off fore. As such, NATION THEATRE will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 7 (R1113) CLASS 5 – 1200m (sc) – TANJUNG TUALANG TIN DREDGE HANDICAP
HOW HUGE, a course scratching as it had sustained a nail prick in its off fore foot, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
BLACK IS POWER (Z Khairil) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
SILENT DREAMS (App AM Aizat) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
HANDSOME BOSS (J Chuah) rolled out at the 900M, resulting in SPARKLER (F Yap) having to be steadied to avoid the heels of HANDSOME BOSS and was taken wider on the track.
REAL HERO (App AK Lim) rolled in at the 700M, resulting in SUPER JOY (SU Lim) having to be checked to avoid that gelding’s heels.
Jockey HS Gill, the rider of DON’T FORGET THIS reported that his mount could not handle the going. A post-race veterinary examination of DON’T FORGET THIS revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of RAINBOW FISH (S Anandan) and SPARKLER revealed no obvious abnormality.
App S Saddam who rode his 40th winner on MR NO PROBLEM and will now be eligible to claim 2kg with effect from Monday, 4th September 2017.

OKI OKI and TIGER STRIPES, both course scratching as they had sustained a bruised off knee and bruised near fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
SUN MIRACLE which was down 32kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
AUDACIOUS (App S Saddam) shifted out on jumping away and bumped RELAU STAR (C Goon).
SUN MIRACLE (J Chuah) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.
App KC Tham, the rider of JOYFUL reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of JOYFUL revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of AUDACIOUS and SUN MIRACLE revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Panel of Stewards question Jockey S Anandan and Trainer K Coetzee, the rider and trainer of DAVINCI respectively, into that gelding’s performance today. Trainer K Coetzee stated that he expected DAVINCI to get back in the race as it showed no early pace in its race and that he felt that the 1200M is too short.
Jockey S Anandan stated that DAVINCI jumped well, showed no early pace despite being urged and that with the pace of the race today, he had got back despite his riding until at the 400M, when he commenced to ride DAVINCI with the whip and the gelding responded well to his riding. He further stated that a longer distance and a firmer going would suit the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination of DAVINCI revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 9 (R1115) ENRICH STAKES A – 1400m (sc) – RIVER TERRAPIN CONSERVATION CENTRE STAKES [SW]
DROGBA, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore pastern, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
TRIPLE ONE D’BEST and TEN SENSE WIN which were down 58kgs and 22kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
App M Sathiaa, in the presence of his master Trainer S Cook was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 107(10) for failing to make the carded weight on TEN SENSE WIN. The Panel of Stewards permitted App AM Aizat to replace App M Sathiaa on TEN SENSE WIN.
Acting on veterinary advice that DRAGONFLY (C Goon) had sustained a bruised left knee, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 5.19pm. DRAGONFLY will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
TEN SENSE WIN (App AM Aizat) was slow to begin.
Racing to the 1200M, LISTEN (WK Yan) had to be checked when racing tight on the inside of SISTER IN LAW (App AK Lim), which was racing tight on the inside of GREAT SCOTT (CK Tan).
App S Saddam and App AM Aizat, the rider of TRIPLE ONE D’BEST and TEN SENSE WIN respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.
Post-race veterinary examinations of TRIPLE ONE D’BEST, TEN SENSE WIN and FEISTY LEO (G Pereira) revealed no obvious abnormality and LISTEN returned broken-winded. As such, LISTEN will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.

No prohibited substances were detected.

The Stewards contacted Trainer L Moy as to the riding instructions he had forwarded to his representative for his runners today. Trainer L Moy was advised that the Stewards will no longer accept emails and that he must submit his instructions in writing on the day.
