RACE 1 (R1488) CLASS 5 – 1600m(lc) – DECRON HANDICAP
SILENT DREAMS which was up 22kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
ALACARTE (App CK Khaw) checked shortly after the start when TOKO (HK Cheng) jumped away awkwardly outwards.
BALBOA (HS Gill) jumped away awkwardly outwards.
PURE RABID (App AM Aizat) shifted in shortly after the start and as a result, DROUGHT (J Mallyon) had to check.
BALBOA raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
TOKO rolled out at the 350M and took HIGHLAND FALCON (App KC Wong) wider on the track.
App CK Khaw, the rider of ALACARTE reported that his mount could not handle the going.
Post-race veterinary examinations of DROUGHT, MESSI (Z Khairil) and BALBOA revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that FLEDGELING (SU Lim) had bled and as such, the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 2 (R1489) CLASS 4 – 1600m(lc) – MITAVITE XLR8 HANDICAP
FAST RICH (App AM Aizat) over-raced in the middle stages and was difficult to settle.
FAST RICH raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
Jockey HS Gill, the rider of NATURE IS NATURE reported that his mount could not handle the going.
App KC Tham, the rider of JOYFUL reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of JOYFUL revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of AGUERO (Z Khairil) and NATURE IS NATURE (HS Gill) revealed no obvious abnormality and BIG HITTER (HK Cheng) had returned broken-winded. As such, BIG HITTER will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.

BUZZ MAN, course scratching as it had sustained a bruised back and was lame near hind, will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.
BLADEMEISTER (WK Yan) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
DON’T FORGET THIS (F Yap) which was slow to begin, showed no early speed despite being urged.
App KC Tham, App KC Wong and Jockey R Rueven, the riders of RAINBOW CENTRE, ALIEN and REAL HERO respectively, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of RAINBOW CENTRE, ALIEN and REAL HERO revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of DARK EXPRESS also revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (R1491) CLASS 5 – 1200m(lc) – MITAVITE ASIA HANDICAP
FAIRBORN which was up 19kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
WILL BE BETTER (SU Lim) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
GREAT GERONIMO (HS Gill) and FAIRBORN (App M Sathiaa) jumped away awkwardly.
EXPLOSIVE FORCE (App KC Tham) was slow into stride and had to be eased shortly after the start.
HOW HUGE (HK Cheng) shifted in on jumping away and carried YOU NEVER KNOW (S Anandan) onto GOLDEN SAND (C Goon) which lost its position.
Jockey S Anandan, the rider of YOU NEVER KNOW reported that he lost the use of his near side iron on jumping away and regained it shortly thereafter.
UNCLE GLORY (Z Khairil) jumped away awkwardly and bumped CANDY SODA (J Chuah).
CANDY SODA raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
Passing the 400M, EXPLOSIVE FORCE had to be steadied and shifted outwards to avoid the heels of GREAT GERONIMO to obtain clear running.
App J Daniel, the rider of ANAK PENANG reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of ANAK PENANG revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of UNCLE GLORY and WILL BE BETTER revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Panel of Stewards questioned App KC Tham, the rider of EXPLOSIVE FORCE in the presence of his master, Trainer PK Leong and Trainer Peter Lee, the trainer EXPLOSIVE FORCE as to why he eased the gelding after getting a fair jump. App KC Tham stated that his instructions were to be mid-field, which was confirmed by Trainer Peter Lee. He explained that he eased his mount shortly after the start to comply with his riding instructions, but his mount dropped back more than he anticipated. The Panel of Stewards advised him that he must ride all his mounts in a manner so as to leave no room for query throughout the race.

RACE 5 (R1492) COSMO D (SW) – 1800m (sc) – VICTORY TREADMILL HANDICAP
CARBON COPY (M Yusri) showed no pace in the early and middle stages of the race.
Approaching the 700M, GREENSTONE dipped, unbalancing its rider, App AM Aizat.
Jockey HS Gill, the rider of DAVINCI reported that his mount could not handle the going.
Post-race veterinary examinations of DAVINCI, MR TRY and OD STAR revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 6 (R1493) CLASS 5 – 1400m (sc) – EQUINE NUTRITION AUSTRALASIA HANDICAP
READY FORTUNE, a course scratching as it had a sore back, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
PRINCE ISLANDER which was up 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
As the start was affected, RACING MAN (App S Saddam) reared up badly and lost considerable ground. The gelding will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.
D’GREAT WALL (App KC Wong), BUTCH CASSIDY (F Yap) and CHINESE STREET (App M Sathiaa) were all slow into stride.
HAPPY AMIGO (SU Lim) commenced to hang out from the 800M until entering the straight. The gelding continued to lay out and approaching the 200M, SU Lim, the rider of HAPPY AMIGO changed his whip to his left hand, resulting in HAPPY AMIGO shifting out and finishing the race wide out. SU Lim, the rider of HAPPY AMIGO was shown the vision of the final 100M in the presence of Trainer R Lines, the trainer of HAPPY AMIGO. Jockey SU Lim was advised that the switching of the whip to his left hand had contributed to the gelding shifting out further. He was also advised to show more initiative to keep his mount on a straight course under similar circumstances in future.
Post-race veterinary examinations of D’GREAT WALL, BUTCH CASSIDY and RACING MAN revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R1494) CLASS 5 – 1400m (sc) – COOL PERFORMER HANDICAP
COLONEL LINCOLN, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
CHARLIE CAME ALONG (App AM Aizat) which stood, refused to jump with the field and lost considerable ground, will be required to pass two (2) starting stall tests at weekly intervals before being declared to race again.
FRANCES (J De Souza) was slow to begin.
SUPERB SEVEN (C Goon) was slow into stride and showed no early speed, despite being urged.
Post-race veterinary examinations of FLY HIGH (S Anandan) and FRANCES revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 8 (R1495) CLASS 4 – 1200m (sc) – QUANTUM LEAP HANDICAP
ROBBEN, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised right hock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
GOLDEN VELOCITY which was down 18kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
WHIRLWIND (WK Yan) and GOLDEN DRAGON (Lou Ho) were slow to begin.
NORTH SKY (C Goon) became unbalanced racing to the 1000M, resulting in Jockey C Goon losing his near side iron, placing him at a severe disadvantage until he was able to re-gain it at the 800M.
GOLDEN VELOCITY (HK Cheng) which was racing greenly, hung out severely at the 800M and raced wide until entering the straight.
WHIRLWIND shifted out from the 500M to obtain clear running and over the final 100M, laid in away from the whip.
GOOD TASTE (TM Wan) raced greenly in the straight and shifted in away from the whip until approaching the 100M when the gelding laid out, finishing wider on the track.
Jockey Lou Ho, the rider of GOLDEN DRAGON reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN DRAGON revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SUPER BONUS (App KC Wong) revealed no obvious abnormality and FLYING NEKO (S Anandan) returned broken-winded. As such, FLYING NEKO will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 9 (R1496) CLASS 4 – 1200m (sc) – CONDITIONING MIX HANDICAP
OUR RIVER DANCER (S Salee) was slow to begin.
THE THINKER (Z Khairil) had to be steadied racing to the 200M and shifted outwards to avoid the heels of NEVERUNCONDITIONAL (HS Gill) which was weakening.
NEVERUNCONDITIONAL which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Jockey TM Wan, the rider of FIELD FORCE reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of FIELD FORCE revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Panel of Stewards adjourned an Inquiry into an incident at about the 150M where KAISER (C Goon) had to be checked, as Trainer F Maynard, the master of App AM Aizat (CIZEN) had left the course.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey TM Wan, the rider of FIELD FORCE into that gelding’s poor performance and inconsistent running in the race. Jockey TM Wan could offer no tangible explanations, other than the gelding not striding out freely.
Post-race veterinary examinations of NEVERUNCONDITIONAL, PROUD PINOY (SU Lim) and KAISER revealed no obvious abnormality.

Trainer Lawson Moy was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for declaring Jockey A Nawawi on CIVIL UNION (N128) and GREENSTONE (F216) for Saturday, 25th November 2017, during the Perak November Coronation Cup Meeting 2017, when Jockey A Nawawi was not licenced to ride at the Perak Turf Club for the year 2017.

The report dated 23rd November 2017 (V17/124) from the Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics Laboratory stated that 50 bottles of coded urine and 54 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 13th November 2017 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.

RACE 11 (R1469) CLASS 5 – 1400M (SHORT COURSE A), SUNDAY, 19 NOVEMBER 2017, SELANGOR TURF CLUB NOVEMBER MEETING 2017
The Stewards, on 21 November 2017 at the Selangor Turf Club, concluded an inquiry into an incident at about the 100M in the above race. Evidence was taken from App AM Aizat, the rider of D’GREAT OPULENT, in the presence of his Master, Trainer F Maynard who is also the Trainer of D’GREAT OPULENT, Jockey J De Souza, the rider of SANDY’S PRIDE, and Jockey SU Lim, the rider of EMPEROR WARRIOR.
App AM Aizat was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that at about the last 100M, he allowed his mount to shift in away from the whip and took corrective measures too late.
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App AM Aizat’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards deferred the commencement of his suspension. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 27 November 2017 and to expire on 16 December 2017, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (2:20pm).
RACE 2 (R1460) CLASS 5 – 1400M (LONG COURSE A), SUNDAY, 19 NOVEMBER 2017, SELANGOR TURF CLUB NOVEMBER MEETING 2017
The Stewards, on 21 November 2017 at the Selangor Turf Club, concluded an inquiry into an incident approaching the 1000M in the above race. Evidence was taken from App AK Lim, the rider of OLLIE EAGLE, in the presence of his Master, Trainer WC Lim who is also the Trainer of OLLIE EAGLE. After reviewing the films and considering the evidence tendered, App AK Lim was warned to leave sufficient room for runners on his inside when approaching the bend in future.
The Stewards also concluded an inquiry into an incident at about the 300M in the above race and took evidence from App AK Lim, the rider of OLLIE EAGLE, in the presence of his Master, Trainer WC Lim who is also the Trainer of OLLIE EAGLE.
App AK Lim pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that at about the 300M in the above race, he was too late to straighten his mount which shifted out under pressure, causing interference to EASTERN TOWKAY (App CK Khaw).
In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App AK Lim’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days with effect from 22 November 2017 and to expire on 26 November 2017, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (2:35pm).
RACE 9 (R1467) CLASS 4 – 1200M (SHORT COURSE A), SUNDAY, 19 NOVEMBER 2017, SELANGOR TURF CLUB NOVEMBER MEETING 2017
The Stewards, on 21 November 2017 at the Selangor Turf Club, continued an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the start and the running and handling of SPLENDOR in the race. Evidence was taken from App S Uzair, the rider of SPLENDOR, in the presence of his Master, Trainer L Moy who is also the Trainer of SPLENDOR. App S Uzair was assisted in translation by Syce Suny Bin Jainis (S.483), an employee of Trainer L Moy. App W Faizal who had previously ridden SPLENDOR in all its races and Official Race Trials, attended at the request of the Stewards, as did App WK Lee, the rider of LIM’S ADMIRAL, and Dr Silamban Subbarao, the Chief Starter. The Stewards adjourned the inquiry for further investigations to take place regarding this matter
Amendment
WEDNESDAY, 15 NOVEMBER 2017, SLTC TRACKWORK
Trainer L Moy was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for galloping VALENTINE BABY (Y222) and an Unnamed horse on the heath track during the above trackwork, which is contrary to Track Regulations.
