RACE 1 (R876) CLASS 5(A) – 1200m (lc) PUSING HANDICAP
GEB WARRIOR (S Saddam) faltered at approximately the 900M-mark.
Trainer B Ng and Jockey HK Cheng, the rider of CITY KNIGHT were questioned with regards to Jockey HK Cheng’s ride. After noting their explanations, the Panel of Stewards warned Jockey HK Cheng that in future, he must ride all his mounts in a manner so as to leave no room for query.
Jockey AK Lim, the rider of D’GREAT LOVE reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT LOVE revealed no obvious abnormality. D’GREAT LOVE which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of KING MIDAS (HS Gill) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that GEB WARRIOR returned having fractured its off fore cannon and as such, the gelding was humanely euthanized.

RACE 2 (R877) CLASS 5(A) – 1200m (lc) SIPUTEH HANDICAP
WASHINGTON, a course scratching as it has sustained an injury on its left knee, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again
Emergency acceptor GLENAFTON was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
GOLDEN NINETY TWO and REWARDING SMILE which were up 18kgs and 22kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
Trainer CC Ooi was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on WELL DESERVED (App P Haris).
WELL DESERVED was slow into stride.
GORDON G (L De Souza) and GOLDEN NINETY TWO (HK Cheng) brushed on jumping.

RACE 3 (R878) CLASS 5(A) – 1200m (lc) TRONOH HANDICAP
DARK WIZARD (Y Aify) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
BUTCH CASSIDY (M Yusri) was slow into stride.
JOEY (S Salee) raced without cover and thereafter, raced wide on the turn.
The breastcheck on D’GREAT EMPRESS (HK Cheng) broke in the running.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that RANT AND RAVE (S Saddam) had bled and as such, the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 4 (R879) ENRICH STAKES A -1100m (sc) JRA GOODWILL CUP [SET-WEIGHTS]
SUPER WINNER, YOU ROKK and DAZZLING SPEED which were down 31kgs, 16kgs and up 20kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
CONSTANT JUSTICE (J Low) did not act in the going.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that DAZZLING SPEED (App R Lingarajan) had bled and as the gelding had bled consecutively, it will be barred from racing for a period of six (6) months under MRA Rule 92(5)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 5 (R880) CLASS 5(A) – 1400m(sc) BATU GAJAH HANDICAP
EMPIRE BAY which were up 16kgs respectively in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
FIRST SUCCESS (App YY Oon) which stood and lost considerable ground, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
Passing the 100M-mark, GOLDEN SHOW (App P Haris) shifted out from the whip, bumping CHINA CAPTAIN (Y Aify). App P Haris, the rider of GOLDEN SHOW was shown the video of this incident and was warned that he would be expected to keep his mount on straight course in future.
CLOUD SHADOW (SS Vanan) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R881) CLASS 5(A) – 1400m (sc) SITIAWAN HANDICAP
ORION, a course scratching as it was found suffering from coughing, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again
MODRIC which was down 15kgs and BLUE EYED BOY which was up 16kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that DESTINY KNIGHT (HK Cheng) had cast its near fore plate behind the barrier and had to be re-shod. The gelding was examined and passed fit to start.
SOON YOU THINK (App YY Oon) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride.
At approximately the 1000M-mark, DROUGHT (App I Firdzriel) clipped the heels of SUNNY FIGHTER (App S Hafis). At a subsequent inquiry, App S Hafis in the presence of his acting trainer, Trainer S Shanmugam, pleaded guilty to a charge for careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that he shifted in when insufficiently clear of DROUGHT, resulting in that horse clipping its heels and stumbling.
In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration App S Hafis’s plea, disciplinary record and mitigating factors. App S Hafis was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) days, with effect from Monday, 8th November 2021 and to expire on Sunday, 21st November 2021, both dates inclusive. He was informed of his right of appeal (4.45pm).
App S Rosmizan, the rider of MODRIC reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of MODRIC revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R882) CLASS 4(A) -1400m (sc) LAHAT HANDICAP
KING POWER, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near hock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again
Emergency acceptor EMIRATES WARRIOR was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
As Jockey HS Gill was medically stood down, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey C Goon to replace him, as the rider of BRISTOL DIAMOND.
MR DJ which was difficult to load, reared as the gates opened and was slow to begin. As such, the gelding will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
At approximately the 900M-mark, DISCRETELY RED (App S Hafis) rolled outwards, clipping the heels of BRISTOL DIAMOND (C Goon) which steadied momentarily.
At approximately the 600M-mark, MASTER JIANGMEN (I Amirul) was inconvenienced by ARIF (App AR Aiman) which rolled outwards. App AR Aiman would be warned with regards to this incident.
Jockey S Saddam, the rider of THANK YOU BOSS reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of THANK YOU BOSS revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BRISTOL DIAMOND returned with cuts on both hind legs and as such, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

GENERAL REPORT – PNTC
CONTINUATION OF STIPENDIARY STEWARDS’ INQUIRY INTO JOCKEY HK CHENG RIDING “BILLY MOJO” WHICH FINISHED UNPLACED IN RACE 3 (R446) ON SATURDAY, 25th JULY 2020 AND ‘PACIFIC MYSTICAL” WHICH WON IN RACE 2 (R452) ON SUNDAY, 26th JULY 2020, DURING PENANG JULY MEETING 2020, BOTH THE RUNNERS WERE SOLELY OWNED BY HIS SISTER-IN-LAW, MS CHERELLE GOH AND TRAINED BY TRAINER HY CHENG.
On the 3rd of November 2021, the PNTC Racing Stewards referred the above matter to the Stipendiary Stewards for further investigation to establish whether any other person(s) should be held liable.
Further evidence were taken from Trainer HY Cheng, the trainer of BILLY MOJO and PACIFIC MYSTICAL into the above matter.
At the conclusion of an inquiry, Trainer HY Cheng pleaded guilty to a charge for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to get permission for an exemption for his brother, Jockey HK Cheng to ride the two horses, as required. Trainer HY Cheng was fined the sum of RM2,000/- and was advised of his right of appeal (12.55pm).
GENERAL REPORT – PRTC
Jockey SS Vanan was fined RM200.00 under MRA Rule 152(5)(b) for failing to follow the SOP set by Perak Turf Club when entering the club premises on 7th November 2021.
