RACE 1 (R0943) CLASS 5(A) – 1600m (lc)
As there was no suitable jockey available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App H Haikal to replace Jockey R Rueven as the rider of SPEEDY SWALLOW as the latter was medically indisposed.
SHYLOCK (SU Lim) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
SPEEDY SWALLOW (App H Haikal) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride.
SWALLOWS STRIKE (AK Lim) was obliged to race wide in the early and middle stages.
BEYOND SACRED (HK Cheng) was eased up passing the 100M. Jockey HK Cheng reported that his mount was not striding out freely. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that BEYOND SACRED returned lame near fore and as such, the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Over the concluding stages, BULL RUN (A Suriya) tried to savage SHYLOCK at the winning post.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SILENT PRINCE (S Saddam) and VILLAGE TYCOON (App P Haris) revealed no obvious abnormality.
When questioned with regards to the improved performance of CIRCUIT STAR (App A Nazir) today, Trainer T Asogan was unable to give any tangible explanations regarding the gelding’s improved performance. His attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding in-and-out running and he was informed that should the gelding proves inconsistent in future, may result in action being taken.

RACE 2 (R0944) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600m (lc)
TAIWAN CAPTAIN, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
KALA GHODA and SILVER JOY which were down 15kgs and 21kgs respectively and SUPER ATAS which was up 25kgs in body weight since their last runs, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
TRINITY HONOR (M Ganeesh) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride.
Passing the 300M-mark, MIGHT IS RIGHT (App N Shahronnizam) commenced to drift out and finished the race wide.
Jockey HS Gill, the rider of SILVER JOY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SILVER JOY revealed no obvious abnormality.
Jockey Y Aify, the rider of ADIRA PEGASUS was questioned regarding his ride. He stated that his instruction was to sit 4/5 and make the move in the straight. After reviewing the race, the Panel of Stewards were not entirely satisfied with his explanation and informed him that he should ride all his mounts out so as to leave no room for query, failing which action would be taken in future.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ADIRA PEGASUS (Y Aify) and BLACK TAIPAN (App H Haikal) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that JJ STAR (App S Shazmin) had bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.
When questioned with regards to the improved performance of KALA GHODA (L De Souza) today, Trainer L Moy stated that in his opinion, the gelding was well-handicapped in the race and its liking for Ipoh track, had contributed to the gelding’s improved performance today. His explanations were noted, however his attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding in-and-out running.

BLEU MARINE which was down 25kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
GLORIOUS BISCUIT (How Yang) jumped awkwardly.
Shortly after start, ARION SUCCESS (App H Haikal) steadied outwards off the heels of GHOST MARI (L De Souza).
AUTUMN BLITZ (SU Lim) and FA FA STAR (AK Lim) were obliged to race wide in the early and middle stages.
Approaching the 500M-mark, GLORIOUS BISCUIT had to steady off the heels of ARION SUCCESS. Shortly thereafter, at about the 400M-mark, GLORIOUS BISCUIT had to steady off the heels of GOLDEN QUEEN (KC Low) and shifted inwards.
App H Haikal, the rider of ARION SUCCESS reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of ARION SUCCESS revealed that the gelding had respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of BLEU MARINE (M Ganeesh) and AUTUMN BLITZ revealed no obvious abnormality whilst GLORIOUS BISCUIT returned with a medial cut on its left knee. GLORIOUS BISCUIT will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

BORN TO WIN (AK Lim) entered the straight wide.
Jockeys Y Aify and L De Souza, the riders of GOLDEN SHOW and KING POWER respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of GOLDEN SHOW and KING POWER revealed no obvious abnormality.

SKYLIGHT which was up 22kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
Heavy rain fell prior to and during the running of this race.
XENA (App H Haikal) and RAGNAR (KC Low) bumped on jumping, resulting in XENA being slow into stride.
Post-race veterinary examinations of TOM’S LIGHTNING (SU Lim) and SKYLIGHT (Y Aify) revealed no obvious abnormality whilst EXDREAM (App SN Shiva) revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore. As such, EXDREAM will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
All riders returned an average of 2kgs over.

RAAYAN which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
As there was no suitable jockey available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App T Ammar to replace Jockey M Ganeesh as the rider of TILSWORTH MALI, when the latter was medically stood down.
PURPLE RAIN (App A Nazir) jumped awkward outwards and bumped PURE PERFECTION (AK Lim).
PROVOCATEUR (HS Gill) was obliged to race wide rounding the turn.
Post-race veterinary examinations of GENERATION M (SU Lim) and NOVA PHOENIX (App P Haris) revealed no obvious abnormality. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that GENERATION M returned having cast its off fore plate.

Emergency acceptor CHAR KWAY TEOW was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
ROYAL FLUSH which was down 16kgs whilst FLEXI LAD and SPIDERMAN which were up 27kgs and 22kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
As there was no suitable jockey available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App T Ammar to replace Jockey M Ganeesh as the rider of BAKUTEH, when the latter was medically stood down.
GOLD SKY EXPRESS (AK Lim) dipped on jumping. Shortly thereafter, GOLD SKY EXPRESS was tightened for room and had to steady when JAPAN CAPTAIN (App SN Shiva) jumped awkwardly inward.
GOLD PLAN (S Saddam) and BAKUTEH (App T Ammar) bumped on jumping.
SPIDERMAN (L De Souza) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ROYAL FLUSH (App H Haikal), SPIDERMAN and STRAP MARKS (SU Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality.

PERFECT RUN, a course scratching as it had sustained a swollen near fore, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
CAPONE which was down 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
ALWAYS INNOCENT (HS Gill) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
Acting on a report from the Starters that Gate number 10 was damaged, the barrier of numbers CAPONE (App H Haikal), JULIUS CAESAR (App SN Shiva) and KRATOS (KC Low) were shifted out accordingly under MRA Rule 113(6)(a).
Acting on a report from the Starters that KRATOS was unable to be boxed, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4.21pm and the gelding will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.
ARAGON PEGASUS (AK Lim) jumped awkwardly, brushing the inside gate.
CAPONE fly-jumped and was slow into stride.
BOSSKU (App P Haris) jumped awkwardly, throwing its head up.
Post-race veterinary examinations of STORM TO WIN (App Z Syafifie), ALWAYS INNOCENT and ARAGON PEGASUS revealed no obvious abnormality.
App A Nazir who rode his 40th winner on BALL AND CHAIN today, will be entitled to claim 2kgs with effect from Monday, 30th September 2024.

As there was no suitable jockey available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App P Haris to replace Jockey R Rueven as the rider of COUNTRY LAW as the latter was medically indisposed.
The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey HS Gill to replace Jockey KC Low as the rider of YULONG DREAM and App T Ammar to replace App H Haikal as the rider of ANOTHER SHOW when Jockey KC Low and App H Haikal were medically stood down.
PENANG STAR (App SN Shiva) drifted out under pressure and finished the race wide.
BULLSEYE (Y Aify) which trailed the field badly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again. A post-race veterinary examination of BULLSEYE revealed no obvious abnormality and was impounded for further analytical examination.
Jockey AK Lim, the rider of REMO MAMA reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of REMO MAMA revealed that the gelding had returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of UNLIMITED STAR (App A Nazir) revealed no obvious abnormality.

GEORGETOWN, STARHARMONY and TRIPLE ONE STAR all are course scratching. GEORGETOWN had sore back and STARHARMONY sustained a bruised off fore cannon whilst TRIPLE ONE STAR sustained a bruised off fore fetlock. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
As there was no suitable jockey available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App P Haris to replace Jockey KC Low as the rider of CAVANA when the latter was medically stood down.
The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey A Suriya to replace Jockey M Ganeesh as the rider of THAI BAHT, when the latter was medically stood down.
Approaching the 1200M-mark, ULURU (App SN Shiva) shifted inward, resulting in CHOSEN ONE (AK Lim) having to steady. BRANDENBURG (HS Gill), GOLD EIGHTY-THREE (App Z Syafifie), CAVANA (App P Haris), FIRE AWAY (Y Aify) and ROCK N ROLL (S Saddam) which were following, were cramped for galloping room and took the turn awkwardly. App SN Shiva, the rider of ULURU was shown the video of the incident in the presence of his Employing Trainer K Coetzee and was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future, failing which action may be taken.
FIRE AWAY entered the home straight wide, finishing the race wide.
ULURU drifted out under pressure in the straight and finished the race wide.
CITIZEN (HK Cheng) and MASTER JIANGMEN (SU Lim) which both raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of CITIZEN and MASTER JIANGMEN revealed no obvious abnormality.

Emergency acceptor PEER GYNT was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
As there was no suitable jockey available to the connections, the Panel of Stewards permitted the withdrawal of NORDIC GEM at the request of the trainer at 5.35pm.
The Panel of Stewards permitted App P Haris to replace App H Haikal as the rider of SILENT BOSS and Jockey HK Cheng to replace Jockey KC Low as the rider of THE BOSS, when both were medically stood down.
Acting on veterinary advice that HEARTS OF GOLD (App T Ammar) was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 5.49pm and the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
FLYING BABY (App Z Syafifie) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.
MAVERICK (SU Lim) was obliged to race wide throughout.
KING’S SPEECH (App A Nazir) had a tendency to hang inwards from the 400M-mark.
Post-race veterinary examinations of LOOKS GOOD (S Saddam) revealed that the gelding had returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again. FLYING BABY (App Z Syafifie) and MAVERICK revealed no obvious abnormality.

GENERAL REPORT
POST-RACE ANALYSIS (EQUINE):
14TH SEPTEMBER 2024 – PERAK SEPTEMBER MEETING 2024
The report dated 26th September 2024 (V24/151) from the Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics Laboratory stated that 28 coded urine and 32 sets of coded blood samples from the above-mentioned race meeting were received on 14th September 2024, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
JOCKEY URINE SAMPLES:

Current Meeting:
Jockey HS Gill was fined RM1,000/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 106(5) when he was found in possession of a Vivo handphone in his personal bag in the Jockeys Room by the Stewards at about 12.20pm today.
