RACE 1 (R012) CLASS 4(A) – 1600m(lc) HAPPINESS AND PROSPERITY HANDICAP
HAVANA, a course scratching as it had sore back, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Prior and during the running of this race, light rain fell.
MASTER JIANGMEN (S Saddam) jumped away awkwardly.
All riders returned an average of 0.5kg over.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that MASTER JIANGMEN and JOYFUL (AK Lim) returned having cast their near and off fore plates respectively.

RACE 2 (R013) CLASS 5(B) – 1400m (lc) START AFRESH HANDICAP
Emergency acceptors MIRACLE WEI WEI and ULTIMATE KILLER were withdrawn due to a capacity field.
The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey SS Vanan to replace Jockey CK Khaw, as the rider of LINING TOGETHER as the latter was certified medically unfit.
TRINITY FLYING which was up 18kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
AIR POWER (AM Aizat) and RACING MAN (S Saddam) both jumped away awkwardly and were slow to begin.
All riders returned an average of 1.5kg over.
Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of AIR POWER reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of AIR POWER revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that QUASAR (P Mogun) returned having cast its off fore plate.

MUSANG KING, a course scratching as it had sustained sore back, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
HAPPY SIXTYSIX (App CT Lee) was slow to begin.
SING DARCI (C Goon) jumped away awkwardly and was steadied shortly after the start.
All riders returned an average of 1.5kg over.

After the running of Race 2, Jockeys made representations to the Panel of Stewards regarding the safety of the track and a representation of Trainers was also heard. After considering the Jockeys and the Trainer’s representation, the Panel of Stewards decided to run Race 3 as scheduled.
After the running of Race 3, another Jockeys’ representation put forward to the Panel of Stewards the prevailing adverse weather condition resulting in the poor visibility and their safety. After hearing their representations, the Panel of Stewards decided to abandon Race 4 to Race 11 at 1.42pm.

POST-RACE URINE:
PENANG DECEMBER MEETING 2020 – 20th DECEMBER 2020
The report dated 31st December 2020 (V20/100) from the Chief Analyst of USains Biomics Laboratory stated that 24 bottles of coded urine samples and 24 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 21st December 2020 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
JOCKEY URINE SAMPLES:

PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 27th DECEMBER 2020 AGAINST VALET SOPHIAN HADI BIN ISMAIL (MRA NUMBER V.5)
The Penang Turf Club Stewards continued their investigations into a security report with respect to Valet Sophian Hadi bin Ismail (MRA number V.5). Encik Sophian Hadi presented an analytical report dated 19th December 2020 from the KPJ Hospital, Ipoh to the Stewards and Covid-19 was not detected.
The Stewards advised him that in future, he must comply with all PNTC’s directives and SOPs.
