RACE 1 (R956) CLASS 5(B) – 1400m (lc) WAY THE COOKIES CRUMBLES HANDICAP
ARECIBO, a course scratching as it sustained near fore nail bind injury, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
SNAGGLE PUSS (CK Khaw) which shifted its near fore plate at the parade ring, had to be re-shod, was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start. A post-race veterinary examination of SNAGGLE PUSS revealed that the gelding had returned with a lacerated off hind limb.
SING DARCI (HS Gill) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
Jockey S Salee, the rider of LEEDSTHEWAY was hit by a clod of mud at approximately the 1100M-mark.
At approximately the 1000M-mark, LEEDSTHEWAY (S Salee) was inconvenienced when GOLDEN EMPIRE (S Saddam) rolled in slightly.
At approximately the 500M-mark, I AM MIDAS (AM Aizat) clipped the heels of SNAGGLE PUSS.
At approximately the 300M-mark, AMAZING DRAGON (App S Hafis) had to be steadied when GET THE LOTSKI (M Yusri) shifted inwards. Jockey M Yusri, the rider of GET THE LOTSKI was shown the video of the incident and was warned to exercise more care in future.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of TOP TURF reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of TOP TURF revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of SING DARCI revealed the gelding had returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 2 (R957) CLASS 5(B) – 1400m (lc) COME TO FRUITION HANDICAP
EMPIRE BAY, a course scratching as it sustained lame off fore, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
NAPOLEON (S Saddam) jumped awkwardly outwards, inconveniencing FORTUNE SPIRIT (C Goon) and AIR POWER (L De Souza).
Jockey S Saddam, the rider of NAPOLEON reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of NAPOLEON revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported FORTUNE SPIRIT returned having cast its near hind plate.

RACE 3 (R958) ENRICH STAKES A (SW) – 1400m (lc) HAPPY HOLIDAYS STAKES
Emergency acceptors LIM’S PIPER and DAVINCI were withdrawn due to a capacity field.
STAR GENIUS (App R Lingarajan) jumped away awkwardly.
Jockey AK Lim, the rider of HELIOSPHERE reported that his mount was making abnormal respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of HELIOSPHERE revealed that the gelding returned broken-winded and had epiglotic entrapment. HELIOSPHERE will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again
A post-race veterinary examination of STAR GENIUS revealed no obvious abnormality.
At the conclusion of an inquiry, App R Lingarajan, the rider of STAR GENIUS in the presence of his Employing Trainer, Trainer K Coetzee was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(8) as read with MRA Rule 44(8)(a) for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure that STAR GENIUS was given a full opportunity of obtaining the best possible placing.
The details of the charge are that:
- After jumping away awkwardly, App R Lingarajan continually takes hold of and restrains his mount in the backstraight, placing it in a position where it could not race to its best advantage.
- From the 800M to entering the home straight, he failed to make any attempt to improve his position when it was reasonable to do so.
When deciding on the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration his mitigating factors and riding record. App R Lingarajan was disqualified for a period of one (1) year with immediate effect today, 27th November 2021 and to expire on 26th November 2022, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his right of appeal (5.10pm).

RACE 4 (R959) CLASS 4(B) -1100m (str) COURSE LIMIT HANDICAP
VAIN TYCOON which was up 31kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start
As Jockey SS Vanan failed to arrive on course by the stipulated time of his first carded engagement on CASTLE OCEAN, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey L De Souza to replace him as the rider of CASTLE OCEAN. Taking into consideration of Jockey SS Vanan’s record, he was fined a sum of RM1,000/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 44(2).
MADE IN CHINA (CK Khaw) which cast its near fore plate behind the barriers, had to be re-shod, was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
EASY SOUTH EAST (R Rueven) jumped awkwardly inwards, brushing AUSSIE EAGLE (AM Aizat).
App S Rosmizan and App I Firdzriel, the riders of ZAC ACE and MAZANZE respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of ZAC ACE and MAZANZE revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that EASY SOUTH EAST returned with heat stress and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 5 (R960) CLASS 5(A) – 1000m(sc) PUT AN END HANDICAP
ONE FOR ALL, a course scratching as it sustained bruised off knee, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
As Jockey Y Aify was medically stood down, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey J Low to replace him, as the rider of WILDFIRE.
MIGHTY PHOENIX (C Goon) was slow into stride.
At approximately the 800M-mark, SUNTZU (App I Firdzriel) dipped and stumbled, unbalancing him momentarily.
A post-race veterinary examination of SUNTZU revealed that the gelding returned with a cut to its near hind foot.

RACE 6 (R961) CLASS 5(B) – 1000M(sc) FINAL CALL HANDICAP
D’GREAT LOVE, a course scratching as its sustained a bruised near fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
GOLD KIDS which was up 24kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start
As Jockey Y Aify was medically stood down, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey AK Lim to replace him, as the rider of CLASSIC KING.
LADY BOSS (HK Cheng) was withdrawn at 3.58pm by order of the Panel of Stewards acting on veterinary advice that the mare had cast both its hind plates and could not be re-shod.
FRANKLY MY DEAR (App S Hafis) reared on jumping and was slow into stride.
IMMORTALITY (CK Tan) and DARCI SUPER (App AR Aiman) were slow into stride.
The saddle on CLASSIC KING (AK Lim) slipped backwards during the running.
App S Hafis, the rider of FRANKLY MY DEAR dropped his whip on straightening. He was fined a sum of RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a).
The whip of Jockey L De Souza (ASIA) was accidentally struck from his hand at the concluding stages by Jockey S Saddam, the rider of LOYALTY’S ANGEL.

GENERAL REPORT – PNTC
INQUIRY INTO THE EVIDENCE SUBMITTED BY TRAINER CC OOI AT THE RUNNING AND HANDLING INQUIRY OF “KRATOS” AT PNTC ON 20th AND 21st NOVEMBER 2021 (RACE 5 (R933), SATURDAY, 20th NOVEMBER 2021) – PENANG TURF CLUB NOVEMBER MEETING 2021
At the conclusion of the inquiry at PRTC today, Trainer CC Ooi pleaded guilty to a charge of misconduct under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that, at the inquiries into the running and handling of KRATOS held on 20th and 21st November 2021, he, as the Trainer of KRATOS, was completely un-cooperative and would not answer questions by the Stipendiary Stewards or give an opinion on the ride when required to do so.
When deciding on a penalty, the Stipendiary Stewards took into consideration Trainer CC Ooi’s mitigating factors. Trainer CC Ooi was fined a sum of RM5,000/- (Ringgit Malaysia: Five Thousand Only) and he was advised of his right of appeal. (12.05pm)
