RACE 1 (R752) CLASS 5(B) 1600M (lc) AMUSEMENT PARK HANDICAP
ARTEMISTER, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Jockey S Salee, the rider of RELIC WARRIOR dropped his whip racing to the 250M. App S Hafis, the rider of MAGICAL PARK dropped his whip at about the 150M. Both riders were fined RM250/- each for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping their whips.
Jockey M Ganeesh, the rider of GOOD DEAL reported that his mount was making respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination of GOOD DEAL revealed that the gelding had returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that ROOTER (J Chuah) returned having cast its near fore plate.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that SING ENERGY (HS Gill) had collapsed on returning to the parade ring and died. A post-mortem will be conducted.

The Panel of Stewards granted permission for Trainer S Cook’s request to remove the use of pacifier on BIG BANK (App P Mogun) due to the track condition.
CHIEF CLERK (WK Yan) jumped away awkwardly.
SUPREME JUSTICE (C Goon) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
App P Mogun, the rider of BIG BANK was shown the vision of his ride in the presence of his employing trainer, Trainer S Cook and was advised to stay focus and not to look around frequently as he did in this race.

RACE 5 (R756) ENRICH STAKES A – 1400M (lc) MISS NATHAN STAKES
CROWN STAR which was up 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
BLACK AND WHITE (AM Aizat) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
PENDRAGON PRINCESS (App SN Shiva) had to be steadied racing to the 800M when ANDADO (App S Hafis) rolled out.
The saddle on PENDRAGON PRINCESS slipped backwards during the running of the race.
LIMITLESS STOUT (HS Gill) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R757) CLASS 4(B) – 1200M (sc) SPORTING GESTURE HANDICAP
ALASAMO, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
STIRLING (App S Hafis) jumped away awkwardly.
The saddle on WORLD HARMONY (App S Saddam) slipped to the off side during the running of the race.
The saddle on PROVOCATEUR (App P Mogun) slipped backwards during the running of the race.
App P Mogun, the rider of PROVOCATEUR reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of PROVOCATEUR revealed no obvious abnormality.
App S Hafis, the rider of STIRLING reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of STIRLING revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that STIRLING and SHOSHA KAZANAN (J Chuah) returned having cast their near fore and off fore plates respectively.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Jockey J Low, the rider of REDOUBT and Trainer HY Cheng, the trainer of REDOUBT into its performance today. Trainer HY Cheng explained that his instructions were to be midfield so as the horse could finish the race off as compared to its last start, where it led and weakened over the concluding stages.
Jockey J Low confirmed the instructions were to be midfield. He stated that on jumping away, REDOUBT was awkward and shortly after the start, brushed PERFECT COMMANDO (KC Wong), resulting in his mount being unable to hold his position and lost ground.
Jockey J Low further stated that although he was able to sit midfield as instructed, but was placed further back than he had anticipated. From the 200M, when he commenced to ride with the whip, REDOUBT failed to respond. The Panel of Stewards noted the explanations tendered. A post-race veterinary examination of REDOUBT revealed no obvious abnormality. Trainer HY Cheng was advised to report back to the Stewards, should he find anything amiss with the horse during the week.

RACE 7 (R758) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M (sc) BEST BET HANDICAP
SHADOW SPEED, which was down 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by App S Saddam, the rider of FRANKLY MY DEAR, placed 2nd against KING POWER (CK Tan), the winner on grounds of alleged interference passing the 150M. After considering all the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the results of the race. The objection was overruled and the results stood.
The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer P Lee, the trainer of KING POWER into the improved performance of KING POWER today. He stated that the gelding was suited by today’s soft going. His explanations were noted.
At the conclusion of an inquiry today, Jockey CK Tan, the rider of KING POWER pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding KING POWER, he permitted his mount to shift inwards when insufficiently clear of FRANKLY MY DEAR (App S Saddam), resulting in FRANKLY MY DEAR having to check and shift out over the heels of KING POWER for clear running at about the 150M.
When deciding on a penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into account his riding record and mitigating factors. Jockey CK Tan was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Penang race days, as he holds a licence to ride in Penang and Perak Turf Clubs only. His suspension will take effect from Monday, 28th September 2020 and to expire on Sunday, 11th October 2020, both dates inclusive. He was informed of his right of appeal (5.30pm).
At the conclusion of an inquiry today, App S Saddam, the rider of FRANKLY MY DEAR in the presence of his employing trainer, Trainer Evert van Breukelen pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding FRANKLY MY DEAR passing the 100M, he shifted out when insufficiently clear of D’GREAT STAR (KC Wong), resulting in D’GREAT STAR having to check.
When deciding on a penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into account his riding record and mitigating factors. App S Saddam was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Penang race days, as he holds a licence to ride in Penang and Perak Turf Clubs only. RUN THE DAY, MYSTICAL MARS and SPEEDY AMIGA which was down 20kgs, down 16kgs and up 20kgs respectively, in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
RUN THE DAY (Z Khairil) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.
PERFECT KIARA (App CK Khaw) was slow to begin.

The following horse had undergone corrective surgery at the PRTC Equine Hospital between 22nd August 2020 to 21st September 2020 and as such, will be required to pass a Steward’s Embargo Test before being declared to race again :-

The report dated 26th September 2020 (V20/11) Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 91 coded blood samples were received from the above-mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.

The report dated 24th September 2020 (V20/061) from the Chief Analyst of USains Biomics Laboratory stated that 22 bottles of coded urine samples and 26 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 14th September 2020 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
