RACE 1 (R577) CLASS 5(B) – 1200M (lc) BLESSINGS OF HAPPINESS HANDICAP
PURAVI, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised both fore fetlocks, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
The Panel of Stewards permitted App P Mogun to be the rider of ASIAN JET.
ASIAN JET (App P Mogun) which cast its off fore plate behind the barriers, had to be re-shod. The gelding was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
Jockey SS Vanan, the rider of JUMBO STAR reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of JUMBO STAR revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of BLACK IS POWER (SU Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality and ALIEN (AM Aizat) revealed that the gelding had returned broken-winded. ALIEN will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that MERCHANT MARINE (App CK Khaw) and ASIAN JET returned having cast its near fore plate and off fore plate respectively.

KUBERA’S CHIEF (S Muniandy) had to be steadied shortly after the start when COME AND TAKE ALL (J Chuah) rolled in.
Post-race veterinary examinations of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT (SS Vanan) and CATAPULT (J De Souza) revealed no obvious abnormality.

SNAGGLE PUSS (AK Lim) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
Jockeys R Rueven and J Daniel, the riders of GLORY AGE and CAVATINA respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely and CAVATINA could not handle the going today. Post-race veterinary examinations of GLORY AGE and CAVATINA revealed no obvious abnormality.
App S Saddam, the rider of GOLDEN EMPIRE reported that his mount could not handle the going today.
A post-race veterinary examination of FORTUNE SPIRIT (R Shafiq) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 6 (R582) OPEN MAIDEN (WFA) – 1400M(SC) REIGN IN PEACE STAKES
The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of NOVA BATTLE (J Low) at 3.39pm acting on veterinary advice that it had shifted its near hind plate whilst parading and sustained a nail prick to its near hind foot. The gelding will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
PACIFIC MISSION (App I Firdzriel) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.
ON THE RAZZ (App S Hafis) laid out from the 200M, taking EMIRATES WARRIOR (HS Gill) wider on the track. App S Hafis, the rider of ON THE RAZZ, in the presence of his acting Trainer K Coetzee, the trainer of ON THE RAZZ was shown the vision of his ride and was advised to straighten his mount under similar circumstances in future.
A post-race veterinary examination of DARCI SUPER (CK Tan) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R583) ENRICH STAKES A – 1400M(sc) MERDEKA SQUARE STAKES [SET-WEIGHTS]
D’GREAT LIGHT, a course scratching as it had sustained swollen near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptor MASTER JIANGMEN was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
HONGCHEN (CK Tan) was slow to begin.
PENTAGON (WK Yan) was slow into stride.
RELAU STAR (App S Saddam) laid in away from the whip from 400M and racing to the 300M, became unbalanced.
A post-race veterinary examination of GYARADOS (C Goon) revealed that the mare had returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to be pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 8 (R584) CLASS 4(B) – 1200M(sc) STRIPES OF GLORY HANDICAP
D’GREAT SWIFT, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore suspensory, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptors LUCK HAPPY and OLIVER were withdrawn due to a capacity field.
LION CONQUEROR (App S Saddam) which was restless, reared and dislodged its rider, App S Saddam. LION CONQUEROR was removed from the stall, was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon, was passed fit to start and was re-boxed.
LION CONQUEROR which was fractious in the barrier, jumped away awkwardly outwards. As a result, App S Saddam lost the use of his near side rein for a short distance and shifted out thereafter.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of SHOSHA KAZANAN reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of SHOSHA KAZANAN revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to be pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of MR MOSA (App L De Souza) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 9 (R585) CLASS 4(A) – 1200M (sc) STADIUM MERDEKA HANDICAP
JULIUS CAESAR and PLATOON, both course scratching as they had sustained bruised near knee and a bruised near fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
LIM’S PIPER AND and FRANKLY MY DEAR which were up 19kgs and 18kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
The Panel of Stewards permitted App S Saddam to be the rider of FRANKLY MY DEAR.
The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey AK Lim to replace Jockey M Yusri as the rider of WIN MAK MAK when the latter was medically stood down by the Club Medical Officer.
STAGESHOW (App S Hafis) and ONE FOR ALL (KC Wong) were both slow to begin.
BIG BANK (R Shafiq) raced wide from the 800M and entered the straight wide.
Jockey M Ganeesh, the rider of PREMIUM STARS reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of PREMIUM STARS revealed no obvious abnormality.
Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of PURPLE RAIN reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of PURPLE RAIN revealed that the gelding had returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to be pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
App L De Souza and App S Saddam, the riders of POWERFUL FIGHTER and FRANKLY MY DEAR respectively, both reported that their mounts could not handle the going today.
A post-race veterinary examination of DUTY FIRST (J De Souza) revealed that the gelding had bled and as such, will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

AUSSIE EAGLE (App CK Khaw) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
Jockey J Daniel, the rider of WORLD HARMONY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of WORLD HARMONY revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of CRACKING TOTTIE (App P Mogun) and PERFECT COMMANDO (HS Gill) revealed no obvious abnormality and ROGER (S Anandan) had bled and as such, ROGER will be barred from racing for a period of six (6) months under MRA Rule 92(5)(a),(b)&(c) as the gelding had suffered its second bleeding attack and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST – 3RD DAY, SATURDAY, 22nd AUGUST 2020
PERAK AUGUST RACE MEETING 2020
The report dated 22nd August 2020 (V20/09) from the Chief Analyst of USains Biomics Laboratory stated that 114 of coded blood samples were received from the above mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All samples were analyzed and none failed the pre-race testing criteria.
