RACE 1 (R0225) CLASS 5(A) – 1600m (lc) DAISY HANDICAP
MULTIBLUE SHARK, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised right hock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
LUCKY TIGER which was down 19kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
MASTER JIANGMEN (S Hafis) and INTROIT (AM Aizat) were both examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
MASTER JIANGMEN was slow to begin.
EKRAAR PHOENIX (S Ruzaini) was over-racing in the early stages, having to be steadied.
HELLO MONDAY (App P Haris) and ADIRA PEGASUS (App A Azizi) were obliged to race wide on the turn.
At approximately the 300M-mark, EKRAAR PHOENIX shifted over the heels of LUCKY TIGER (App H Haikal) for clear running.
KING RAVANA (AK Lim) raced tight on the inside of CHAR KWAY TEOW (SU Lim) in the concluding stages.
A post-race veterinary examination of LUCKY TIGER revealed that the gelding had bled and as such, will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

RACE 2 (R0226) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600m (lc) SWEET PEA HANDICAP
BLACK TAIPAN, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore foot, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
SUPREME JUSTICE (SU Lim), MAZANZE (App R Nuqman) and MAGICAL PARK (AK Lim) were all examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
SPEEDY SWALLOW (AM Aizat) which was difficult to be boxed, causing a delay, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
MYSTICAL STAR (KC Tham) was slow into stride.
MAZANZE was obliged to race wide on the turn.
Passing the 250M-mark, TRIPLE ONE STAR (S Hafis) rolled outwards, brushing SOON YOU THINK (App N Shahronnizam).
Jockey AK Lim, the rider of MAGICAL PARK was stood down by the Club Medical Officer after the running of this race.
Post-race veterinary examinations of MAZANZE and COUNTRY LAW (App P Haris) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R0227) CLASS 4(A) – 1600m (lc) VIOLET HANDICAP
NORTHERN STAR (App AB Riduan) jumped awkwardly and thereafter, over-raced in the early stages.
THAILAND CAPTAIN (S Ruzaini) was over-racing in the backstraight.
At approximately the 700M-mark, AMORE AMORE (App SN Shiva) was momentarily inconvenienced when RULE THE WORLD (KC Tham) rolled inwards.
Shortly before straightening, STRONG N POWERFUL (S Anandan) dipped.
Passing the 500M-mark, Jockey SU Lim, the rider of THOUSAND MILE EYE had his whip struck off from his hand by Jockey S Anandan, the rider of STRONG N POWERFUL.
A post-race veterinary examination of STRONG N POWERFUL revealed no obvious abnormality.
At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Trainer HY Cheng, the trainer of THOUSAND MILE EYE pleaded guilty to a contravention of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 134(2)(b) for negligence, in that he had failed to ensure that THOUSAND MILE EYE, which finished third placing was presented to the post-race samples collections area immediately after the running of this race, as required. He was fined a sum of RM2,000/- and was informed of his right of appeal (3.35pm).

RACE 4 (R228) CLASS 5 (A) – 1300m (lc) DAFFODIL HANDICAP
BRISTOL DIAMOND, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
HARVEST (App R Nuqman) was slow into stride.
DISCRETELY RED (AM Aizat) over-raced in the early stages.
In the concluding stages, App P Haris, the rider of QIJI LOVE became momentarily unbalanced.
Jockey S Anandan, the rider of BANGKOK BOY reported that his mount was making abnormal respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of BANGKOK BOY revealed that the gelding had returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of DISCRETELY RED revealed no obvious abnormality.
Trainer R Lines was questioned with regards to the improved performance of HARVEST today. He explained that HARVEST was normally very slow but today, it jumped better and was not as bad as previously. This in his opinion may have accounted for the improved performance. His explanations were noted and his attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding ‘in-and-out’ running.

RACE 5 (R229) CLASS 5 (B) -1300m (lc) JONQUIL HANDICAP
TRAFALGAR and ONE MILLION which was up 18kgs and 41kgs respectively, in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
ONE MILLION (App AB Riduan) and ULURU (App SN Shiva) were both examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.
TRAFALGAR (S Ruzaini) was slow into stride and thereafter, was obliged to race wide on the turn.
CHERISH (SU Lim) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
App AB Riduan, the rider of ONE MILLION reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of ONE MILLION revealed no obvious abnormality.
After the running of this race, the going was upgraded to “Yielding.”

RACE 6 (R0230) CLASS 4 (A) –1300m (sc) PRIMROSE HANDICAP
CLARTON TREASURE and STAR TALENT, both are course scratching. CLARTON TREASURE had sustained a bruised near fore cannon, whilst STAR TALENT had sustained a bruised near fore suspensory ligament. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
STRETCHY FOUR (AM Aizat) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was certified fit to race.
Over the concluding stages, STRETCHY FOUR attempted to savage SUSPICIOUS MIND (S Anandan).
Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by Jockey S Anandan, the rider of SUSPICIOUS MIND, placed 2nd against STRETCHY FOUR (AM Aizat), being declared the winner on grounds of alleged interference over the concluding stages. After considering all the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were satisfied that this incident had not affected the results of the race and as such, confirmed the decision of Judges. The objection was overruled and the results stood.
A post-race veterinary examination of SPIDERMAN (App SN Shiva) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that LAGO DE COMO (SU Lim) collapsed after the running of this race and was humanely euthanized.
App H Haikal, the rider of GEORGETOWN was stood down by the Club Medical Officer after riding in this race.

RACE 7 (R0231) CLASS 5 (A) – 1200m (lc) CARNATION HANDICAP
JULIUS CAESAR and SECRET AGENT both are course scratching. JULIUS CAESAR had sustained bruised both fore fetlocks, whilst SECRET AGENT had sustained a bruised near fore fetlock. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
As there was no suitable apprentice available, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey AM Aizat to replace App H Haikal as the rider of ROCK ME EASY when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.
NIMBUS COURAGE (App N Shahronnizam) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
BAKUTEH (S Hafis) which reared on jumping and was slow to begin, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.
STARDICE (App P Haris) was obliged to race wide on the turn.
A post-race veterinary examination of LUCKY STAR (App R Nuqman) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 8 (R0232) CLASS 5 (B) – 1200m (lc) SNOWDROP HANDICAP
As there were no suitable riders available, the Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawals of YOU ARE SPECIAL at 3.40pm and NATUREISSPEAKING at 4.36pm .
Trainer S Siva was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for presenting AUSSIE EAGLE (KC Tham) without the blinkers/pacifiers as declared.
Post-race veterinary examinations of FLYING SPIDER (App N Shahronnizam) and SIEW YUK (S Hafis) revealed no obvious abnormality.
