RACE 1 (R276) CLASS 5 – 1600m(lc) – LOCHKEED HANDICAP
EXPLOSIVE FORCE which was down 25kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
RACING MAN (App S Saddam) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and passed fit to start.
RACING MAN was fractious in the barrier and jumped away awkwardly when the gates were released.
ORANGE (HK Cheng) was slow to begin.
SWAN SONG (App AM Aizat) had to be steadied racing to the 400M to avoid the heels of ORANGE which rolled out.
SWAN SONG and BALBOA (F Yap) both raced wide from the 700M until entering the straight.
EXPLOSIVE FORCE (App KC Tham) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
App KC Tham, the rider of EXPLOSIVE FORCE reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of EXPLOSIVE FORCE revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of SWAN SONG and ORANGE revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R277) ENRICH STAKES A (SW) – 1100m(str) – MORGENLICHT STAKES
YOU ARE GENIUS which was up 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
TIDAL WAVE (J De Souza) shifted in on jumping away and as a result, YOU ARE GENIUS (S Anandan) had to be checked and lost its position.
WHIRLWIND (App KC Wong) commenced to finish strongly from the 200M and racing to the 100M, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of FAT POWER (S Salee) and shifted out to take a run between FAT POWER and PROBABLY (HK Cheng) and in doing so, brushed the hind quarters, unbalancing App KC Wong. As a consequence, WHIRLWIND bumped FAT POWER, resulting in App KC Wong becoming unbalanced and was dislodged. App KC Wong was shown the vision of the race and the Panel of Stewards deemed it a racing incident. No further action was taken.
App KC Wong, the rider of WHIRLWIND was exempted from weighing in and was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that DROGBA (R Rueven) and YOU ARE GENIUS returned having cast their near fore plate and off hind plate respectively.
Post-race veterinary examinations of STREET TEASE and WHIRLWIND revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R278) CLASS 4 – 1100m(str) – GENERAL ZABEEL HANDICAP
PROUD PINOY and SOUTHERN HUSSLER, both course scratching as they had sustained a stone bruised off fore foot and skin allergy respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptor ELUSIVE GENIUS was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
EYEOFTHETIGER which was up 25kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
GOLDEN VELOCITY (Lou Ho) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and passed fit to start.
At the start, D’GREAT EMPRESS (HK Cheng) jumped away awkwardly outwards and GHOST BANK (App M Hanif) jumped awkwardly inwards, resulting in both THE THINKER (J Mallyon) and STIRLING (C Goon) being tightened and having to check, losing ground.
OK KID (App AM Aizat) had to be steadied inside the 300M to avoid the heels of GHOST BANK and shifted in to obtain a clear running.
YENDOR (F Yap) shifted out over the concluding stages, resulting in HUN YEANG VILLAGE (App S Hafis) having to steady. YENDOR continued to shift out, resulting in OK KID which was taken by BERCHAM (App S Saddam) which rolled in, having to check. Jockey F Yap was warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future. App S Saddam, the rider of BERCHAM, in the presence of his acting master, Trainer S Shanmugam was also shown the vision of the race over the concluding stages and was warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.
Over the concluding stages, Jockey F Yap, the rider of YENDOR dropped his whip. He was fined RM1,000/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a).
App J Daniel, the rider of IN FULL BLOOM and Jockey Lou Ho, the rider of GOLDEN VELOCITY both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.
Post-race veterinary examinations of IN FULL BLOOM revealed that the filly had returned with respiratory distress and HENNESSY DRAGON returned having bled. As such, HENNESSY DRAGON will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, passed a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again. IN FULL BLOOM will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of THE THINKER, D’GREAT EMPRESS and GOLDEN VELOCITY revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (R279) CLASS 4 – 1400m(lc) – FIRST APPROVAL HANDICAP
KAISER (Lou Ho) threw its head up on jumping away and struck Jockey Lou Ho in the face, placing him at a disadvantage throughout the race.
FLYING WINNER (F Yap) rolled in racing to the 700M, resulting in ALASAMO (S Anandan) having to be steadied and brushed the running rail.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ALASAMO, TARZAN BOY (App AK Lim) and AGUERO (CK Tan) revealed no obvious abnormality and KAISER returned exhibiting signs of heat stress. As such, KAISER will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R281) CLASS 5 – 1200m (sc) – UTAH HANDICAP
MR NO PROBLEM, a course scratching as it was lame off fore, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Over the concluding stages, EASTWOOD (App M Haniff) shifted out away from the whip and finished wider on the track.
Jockey S Sandana, the rider of UNCLE GLORY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of UNCLE GLORY revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R282) NOVICE – 1200m (sc) – THEORY STAKES [SET-WEIGHTS]
ROBBEN, a course scratching as it had respiratory allergy, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
ACE KING which was down 28kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
Trainer N Azman was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to seek the Steward’s permission to remove the use of shadow-roll on ACE KING within the stipulated time.
ROYAL GIBRALTAR (TM Wan) which broke through the front of the gates and galloped a considerable distance, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 4.57pm. ROYAL GIBRALTAR will be required to re-qualify at an Official Race Trial before being declared to race again.
This race was run in light rain.
ACE KING (App I Firdzriel) shifted out on jumping away and raced ungenerously and was difficult to settle until approaching the 800M.
MULTIBLUE EAGLE (App P Mogun) jumped away awkwardly inwards, unbalancing its rider and was reluctant to stride out despite being urged, losing ground.
SHOWJET (S Salee) was slow into stride and showed no early pace and lost ground despite being urged.
D’GREAT SUPREME (App AM Aizat) had to be steadied when over-racing at the 800M.
SHOWJET which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of MULTIBLUE EAGLE, NEVERTHELESS (R Rueven), SHOWJET and ROYAL GIBRALTAR revealed no obvious abnormality.

The start of this race was delayed for five minutes to commence at 5.30pm.
This race was run in steady rain.
DON’T FORGET THIS (F Yap) was slow to begin and showed no early pace despite being urged.
All riders returned an average of 0.5kg over.
