RACE 1 (R201) CLASS 5 – 1400m(lc) – LULLABY OF LOVE HANDICAP
RACING MAN (App S Saddam) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and passed fit to start.
MAGIC RANGER (App Z Khairil) jumped away awkwardly.
Shortly after the start, DON’TCALLME UNCLE (Lou Ho) had to be steadied when taken in by LUCKY MONEY (App CT Lee).
SKY WALKER (HS Gill) had to be steadied when racing to the 1300M, when ZENIDIN (S Sandana) shifted in. SKY WALKER got its head up as a consequence and over-raced until racing to the 800M. Jockey S Sandana, the rider of ZENIDIN was shown the vision of the incident and was advised to exercise greater care under similar circumstances in future.
AMI ELEVEN (J Low) over-raced in the early and middle stages of the race and was difficult to settle.
The saddle on PEGASUS GENIUS (M Yusri) slipped backwards during the running of the race.
SKY WALKER which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of PEGASUS GENIUS revealed that the gelding had returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of RACING MAN, DON’TCALLME UNCLE and GOLD COAST CAPTAIN (App AK Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality.

Jockey S Sandana, the rider of ZENIDIN and Jockey HS Gill, the rider of SKY WALKER were each fined a sum of RM200/- for misconduct under MRA Rule 152(3)(a) for acting in a manner unbecoming of a professional jockey at the winner’s enclosure after the running of the race.

RACE 2 (R202) CLASS 5 –1400m(lc) – PENGAT HANDICAP
SCHILTRON (Lou Ho) was slow to begin and showed no early pace.
The whip of App KC Wong, the rider of VICTORY MARCH got entangled with his reins momentarily at about the 300M.
Jockey HK Cheng, the rider of STORM HERO reported that his mount was not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of STORM HERO (HK Cheng) and ULTIMATE HERO (App S Saddam) revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of SCHILTRON revealed that the gelding had returned lame off hind and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that FLUTZ (M Ganeesh) returned having cast its near hind plate.

RACE 3 (R203) CLASS 5 – 1400m(lc) – DONDANG SAYANG HANDICAP
SATELLITE GENIUS, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
STEERING (App A Zaimuddin) was slow to begin.
Racing to the 1100M, GREAT GERONIMO (App J Daniel) which was racing in tight-galloping room inside POWERFUL FIGHTER (J Low), commenced to over-race and raced ungenerously until racing to the 800M.
Racing to the 400M, ZAC SUGGESTION stumbled and became unbalanced for a short distance, resulting in Jockey S Thai Yang dropping his whip. As a consequence, ONE MORE ACHIEVER (S Sandana) which was racing to its outside, shied away and became unbalanced for a short distance.
STEERING which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of ZHAN SHEN (App WK Lee), GREAT GERONIMO, MAYWEATHER (M Yusri), ONE MORE ACHIEVER and ZAC SUGGESTION revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (R204) COSMO C – 1400m(lc) – FESTIVALS OF ROMANCE STAKES [SET WEIGHTS]
AWAKENED (M Ganeesh) was slow to begin and showed no early speed, despite being urged.
AWAKENED made the home turn wide.
KUANTAN HILL (TM Wan) laid in away from the whip over the final 300M.
A post-race veterinary examination of ALLIED MARINE (CK Tan) revealed no obvious abnormality.

LONHMIN which was up 30kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
MR VICTORY (S Salee) was slow to begin.
YOU DA ONE (HS Gill) and PROBABLY (C Goon) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
LEE’S DEFENDER (SS Vanan) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped BLACK RAIN (F Yap).
Jockeys J De Souza and HS Gill, the rider of REACHING and YOU DA ONE respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of REACHING and YOU DA ONE revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of LONHMIN (App J Daniel) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 6 (R206) RESTRICTED MAIDEN – 1200m(lc) – 15th NIGHT OF CNY STAKES [3 YEAR OLDS ONLY] [WEIGHT-FOR-AGE]
SUPER BOSS (App J Daniel) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and passed fit to start.
SUPER BOSS was slow to begin.
CROWN TREASURE (App S Saddam) stood and lost some ground, as the gates were released.
MULTIBLUE SHARK (TM Wan) jumped awkwardly out and bumped JABBAR (App Z Khairil).
BAHAR (S Sandana) which was racing fiercely, raced onto the heels of MULTIBLUE SHARK at about the 1000M and had to be steadied.
Passing the 800M, MULTIBLUE SHARK had to steady and lost ground when JABBAR rolled inwards, resulting in BAHAR, which was following, having to check and his saddle slipping to the off side, placing its rider at a disadvantage and losing ground.
WHIRLWIND (L Sofhan) which was following, had to switch to the outside, to avoid the heels of BAHAR and raced wide until entering the straight. The Stewards were unable to attribute any blame to any rider and no further action was taken.
PORSENCE (HS Gill) was trapped wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
PORSENCE laid in and continued to race very greenly to the finish of the race.
GLORY KID (App M Sathiaa) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of SUPER BOSS revealed that the gelding had returned lame near hind and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of MULTIBLUE TOSCA (Lou Ho), MULTIBLUE SHARK, GLORY KID and WHIRLWIND revealed no obvious abnormality.

BALBOA, a course scratching as it had sustained an abrasion to its left knee, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Trainer PK Leong was fined RM250/- for failing to declare the use of blinkers and to remove shadow-roll on JETSTAR EAGLE within the stipulated time.
ROCKET EXPRESS (J Chuah) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and passed fit to start.
SERPICO (TM Wan) which was restless in the barrier, got cast, was taken out, examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.
LEAP OF FAITH (CK Tan) was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start, JACKPOT (F Yap) was tightened and lost its position when
BLACK TRISTAR (App WK Lee) shifted in and MAL’S DAD (M Ganeesh) shifted out.
Post-race veterinary examinations of APROBACION (App CT Lee) revealed that the mare had returned with a cut to its near hind fetlock and ROCKET EXPRESS revealed no obvious abnormality. APROBACION will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

APPEAL OF JOCKEY Y.AIFY AGAINST THE SUSPENSION OF 6 MONTHS AND FINE OF RM10,000/- FOR CONTRAVENTION OF MRA RULE 44(10) IMPOSED BY THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS IN CONNECTION WITH HIS
RIDING AND HANDLING OF “LOVE ME” IN RACE 4 (R531), CLASS 4 –
1600m(lc) – SUSPICION HANDICAP, PERAK LATE APRIL MEETING 2016, SATURDAY, 23rd APRIL 2016.
The Perak Turf Club Panel of Racing Stewards heard the above appeal on Friday, 10th February 2017.
After considering submissions from Jockey Y Aify, his Counsel and the Acting Chief Stipendiary Steward and reviewing all angles of the race, the Racing Stewards reduced the suspension of six (6) months to three (3) months and his fine of RM10,000/- was set aside. Jockey Y Aify’s suspension will take immediate effect, i.e. from Friday, 10th
February 2017 and to expire on Tuesday, 9th May 2017, both dates inclusive. His deposit was forfeited.
