RACE 1 (R624) CLASS 5(B) – 1200M
YELLOW JADE HORSE and ZOLVED, both course scratching as they had sustained skin allergy and inflammation of near fore fetlock joint respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptor, GRIDIRON was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
MR DREYFUSS which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
DANE’S ANATOMY (App S Hafis) lost its position at the start when TILSWORTH JOSHI (S Ruzaini) shifted inwards on jumping away.
Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of MR DREYFUSS reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of MR DREYFUSS revealed that the gelding returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of BELIEVE IT OR NOT (SU Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality. GOLD SEAL (App CT Lee) returned having cast its off fore plate.

RACE 2 (R625) CLASS 5(A) – 1200M
LIKE A JET and MASTRO GEPPETTO, both course scratching as they were bruised off fore heels and off fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptor, RICH AND SMART was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
WIN EASY which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
STAR CHOICE (WK Yan) was slow to begin.
MR O’REILLY (SU Lim) was held up for clear running over the final 50M of the race.
Jockey M Ganeesh, the rider of MY FIRST MILLION, broke his whip during the running of the race.
Post-race veterinary examinations of YOU ARE GENIUS (App S Hafis), MEGUSTO (HK Cheng) and NUMERO UNO (K Eirwan) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R626) CLASS 5(A) – 1200M
Emergency acceptors, AMISTAD, MIROTIC and OUR RIVER DANCER were all withdrawn due to a capacity field.
Trainer S Hamilton was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for GOLDEN COIN (S Salee).
TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT (R Rueven) and QUASAR (M Ganeesh) were both checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and were passed fit to race.
SATELLITE GENIUS (J Low) was slow to begin.
Jockey M Ganeesh, the rider of QUASAR, reported that the gelding reared when the gates were released and the saddle slipped back as a result.
QUASAR had to be steadied racing to the 100M when MERRY BELL (App S Hafis) rolled inwards away from the whip.
MERRY BELL laid in over the concluding stages and as a consequence, the rider had to stop riding and straighten the gelding.
Jockey J Daniel, the rider of MAMAMIA MAMAMIA, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare sustained a nail prick off fore and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT and GOLDEN COIN revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (627) SPECIAL 4YO MAIDEN (WFA) – 1300M
TILSWORTH MICK which was down 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
TRUDY (App S Rosmizan) laid in passing the 100M and the rider had to stop riding and straighten the mare.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of COMECATCHME reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of JET TWENTY (KC Wong) and BABEL (S Salee) revealed no obvious abnormality.

Emergency acceptor, RAISE ME UP, YULONG SHENGDAO and AGUERO were all withdrawn due to a capacity field.
BLACK MAMBA (App P Mogun) and PURPLE RAIN LADY (App S Saddam) were both slow to begin.
ZILFIKAR (Y Aify) laid out over the concluding stages of the race, taking OVERSEER (Z Khairil) wider on the track.
App P Mogun, the rider of BLACK MAMBA and Jockey R Rueven, the rider of GOLD COAST CAPTAIN, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of both geldings revealed no obvious abnormality.
Post-race veterinary examinations of ROCK ME EASY (HS Gill) and LIM’S KEYWAY (C Goon) revealed no obvious abnormality.

MARINE TREASURE and ROYAL RULER, both course scratching as they had sustained a bruised off fore foot and a cellulitis off fore cannon respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Emergency acceptor, GEORGETOWN was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
VIOLET which was down 20kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
The saddle on SKYDANCE ECLIPSE (J De Souza) slipped back on jumping away.
SECRET WIN (J Low) was slow to begin.
L’APPRENTI SORCIER (App S Saddam) was crowded shortly after the start and lost its position when NOVA STRIKE (S Ruzaini) shifted inwards.
ARAGORN (App R Ruwaidy) and READY TO ROCK (KC Wong) brushed on several occasions passing the 1200M.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that TRUSON (C Goon) returned lame near fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of NOVA STRIKE, SECRET WIN and ARAGORN revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 7 (R630) CLASS 4(A) – 1400M
FIERY SHINZO and ELUSIVE GENIUS, both course scratching as they had sustained a nail prick off fore foot and a bruised off fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
The Stewards permitted Jockey HS Gill to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of NICATOR when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.
DISCRETELY RED (App S Saddam) jumped away awkwardly and bumped LIM’S PIPER (R Rueven).
DIAMOND SET (App S Rosmizan) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
Post-race veterinary examinations of TRIPLE ONE STAR (J De Souza) and TILSWORTH
JACOBI (KC Wong) revealed no obvious abnormality. DISCRETELY RED returned having cast its near fore plate.

RACE 8 (R631) CLASS 4(B) – 1400M
GOLDEN ROOSTER, a course scratching as it had respiratory allergy, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
The Stewards permitted Jockey HS Gill to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of MR PAULANDRE.
Jockey K Eirwan was dislodged from BATTLE HORSE whilst parading in the saddling area and was sent to the hospital for observation. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of BATTLE HORSE at 4.36 pm.
SONNY BILL (KC Wong) was slow to begin.
HAPPY DAYZ (J Daniel) was slow to begin and the rider reported that his saddle slipped back on jumping away.
Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of GOLD SKY BILLION, reported that his whip broke during the running of the race.
Post-race veterinary examinations of LUCKY COIN (C Goon) and HALLELUJAH (Y Aify) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 9 (R632) CLASS 4(B) – 1400M
ELUSIVE EMPEROR, D’GREAT DUCHESS and MR DJ, all course scratching as they had sustained a sore near fore fetlock, a bruised near fore suspensory and had respiratory allergy respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
The Stewards permitted Jockey S Salee to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of MAZANZE and Jockey R Rueven to replace Jockey K Eirwan as the rider of POLO BOY.
GIGANTE DEL ANDRE (Y Aify) bucked shortly after the start, lost considerable ground and trailed the field. The Stewards checked the respective gear which was satisfactory. A post-race veterinary examination of GIGANTE DEL ANDRE revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
LUCKY SIXTYSIX (App S Hafis) had to be steadied when held up for clear running to avoid the heels of GRAND KNIGHT (S Anandan) passing the 400M.
Jockeys CK Tan and R Rueven, the respective rider of KING POWER and POLO BOY, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of both geldings revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of GENERAL CHENG (S Muniandy) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Stewards questioned Trainer CC Ooi into the improved performance of RAGNAR (S Ruzaini) today. He stated that RAGNAR was better suited by the good going today which contributed to its improved performance. His explanation was noted.

BERLINETTA which was down 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
The Stewards permitted Jockey CK Tan to replace Jockey K Eirwan as the rider of BEST DREAM.
The bridle on RACING MAN (App S Saddam) had to be re-adjusted at the start.
LIM’S MASTER (HS Gill) had to be steadied racing to the 1400M to avoid the heels of BERLINETTA (KC Wong).
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that FEISTY LEO (AK Lim) returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of BERLINETTA, LIM’S MASTER and BEST DREAM
revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 5 (R591) CLASS 4(B)- 1200M, SUNDAY, 23RD AUGUST 2020, 1ST DAY, PENANG AUGUST MEETING 2020
GUNFORHIRE and HALLELUJAH, both course scratching as they had colic and had sustained superficial wound off hind respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
PNTC STABLE INSPECTION – MONDAY, 10TH AUGUST 2020
At the conclusion of an Inquiry today (30th August 2020), Trainer CC Ooi was found guilty of a charge for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 37(3)&(4) for failing to ensure that his employees named JOHARI BIN SUBNI (NRIC No. 620107-O7-5227), HARDI IZAM BIN HASSAN (NRIC No. 730118-07-5601), IRWADI BIN MUHAMAT (NRIC No. 801214-07-5279) and MOHAMED JUFRI BIN NASRUN (NRIC No. 910926-07-5177) are licensed or registered with the MRA during a routine Stable Inspection on Monday, 10th August 2020 at about 7.50 am by PNTC Stewards and the Security Department. Trainer CC Ooi was fined the sum of RM1,000/- (RM250/- per employee) and informed of his Right of Appeal (1.05 pm).
PNTC STABLE INSPECTION – MONDAY, 10TH AUGUST 2020
Syce HAFIZAL BIN IBRAHIM (MRA Pass No. S159) was fined RM100/- for misconduct under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for trespassing into Trainer CC Ooi’s stables without permission during a routine Stable Inspection on Monday, 10th August 2020 at about 7.50 am by PNTC Stewards and the Security Department.
PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST – 2ND DAY, SUNDAY, 30TH AUGUST 2020
PENANG TURF CLUB AUGUST MEETING 2020
The report dated 30th August 2020 (PNTC #20/09) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 129 coded blood samples were received from the above- mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All the samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.

The report dated 27th August 2020 (V20/048) from the Chief Analyst of USains Biomics Laboratory stated that 61 bottles of coded urine samples and 66 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 16th August 2020 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
