RACE 1 (R1377) CLASS 5 (A) – 1300M
ROBBEN, a course scratching as it was cut at the left upper lip, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Trainer HS Lim was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for PEER GYNT (S Ruzaini).
CLASSIC KING (App S Hafis) shifted outwards on jumping away and as a result, bumped HAPPY START (SU Lim) out which lost its position when steadying from the heels of DARCI SUPER (App S Saddam) when DARCI SUPER was taken in by EASY DANCER (App J Daniel) which in turn was taken in by BM POWER (App CT Lee). As a consequence, MYSTICAL STAR (KC Wong) lost its position.
I AM MIDAS (R Shafiq) raced wide from the 700M until entering the straight.
Jockey KC Wong, the rider of MYSTICAL STAR, reported that he was hit by a clod of mud in the right eye at about the 800M. He was examined by the Club Medical Officer and was passed fit to continue riding for the remainder of the day.
App J Daniel, the rider of EASY DANCER reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality. EASY DANCER which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
Post-race veterinary examinations of OVERSEER (Z Khairil) and DARCI SUPER revealed no obvious abnormality. DARCI SUPER was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

RACE 2 (R1378) OPEN MAIDEN – 1300M
(WEIGHT-FOR-AGE)
Emergency acceptors, SHREDDER and MR RIGHT were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.
D’GREAT CHANCE, a course scratching as it had corneal ulcer right eye, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
STRONG MAN which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
WINDRUNNER (App S Hafis) jumped away awkwardly.
MOONSHINE MISTRESS (Z Khairil) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of MOONSHINE MISTRESS, reported that he was struck by a clod of mud in the left eye. He was examined by the Club Medical Officer and was medically stood down.
Jockey HS Gill, the rider of ROSES FOR ME, reported that he was struck by a clod of mud in the left eye and mouth. He was examined by the Club Medical Officer who passed him fit to continue riding for the remainder of the day.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that both MAPLE RISING (App S Zulfikri) and SASA LADY (AK Lim) returned having cast their off fore plate and D’GREAT OCEAN (J Low) returned having cast its near fore plate.
A post-race veterinary examination of GHOST SPIRIT (C Goon) revealed no obvious abnormality, however cast its off fore plate on returning. GHOST SPIRIT which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race veterinary examination of EMKI EMPRESS (S Salee) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R 1379) CLASS 4 (B) – 1700M
The Stewards permitted Jockey Y Aify to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of SATELLITE PRINCE.
JACKS SECRET (App P Haris) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
Post-race veterinary examinations of JACKS SECRET and D’GREAT OPULENT (KC Wong) revealed no obvious abnormality. JACKS SECRET which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
A post-race examination of HALO INSPIRE (HS Gill) revealed that the gelding returned having cast its near hind plate.
The Stewards questioned Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of NOVA SPIRIT in the absence of Trainer C Leck into that gelding’s poor performance today. Jockey S Ruzaini stated that NOVA SPIRIT could not handle today’s going and failed to respond to his riding at any stage of the race. The Stewards noted his explanation. A post-race veterinary examination of NOVA SPIRIT revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding was impounded for further veterinary and analytical examination.

ARAGORN and GOLDEN TYCOON, both course scratchings as they had corneal ulcer right eye and had sustained a nail prick off fore foot respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
TERMS OF REFERENCE which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
Trainer R Lines was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for GOD HELPS ME (KC Wong).
SOUTHERN MAN (App CK Khaw) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
D’GREAT VULTURE (J Low) was slow into stride.
Post-race veterinary examinations of LUWAK COFFEE (HS Gill) and AWATERE (App WW Cheah) revealed no obvious abnormality.
The Stewards questioned Jockey J Low, the rider of D’GREAT VULTURE as to why that gelding was slow to begin. Jockey J Low stated that D’GREAT VULTURE fly-jumped and threw its head up on jumping away and lost ground. He further stated that his instructions were to be handy but he was unable to do so as the gelding could not handle today’s going. His explanation was noted.
The Stewards questioned App CK Khaw, the rider of SOUTHERN MAN, in the presence of his Acting Trainer, B Ng as to why that gelding was slow to begin. App CK Khaw stated that when the gates were released, SOUTHERN MAN threw its head up, resulting in the gelding awkwardly into stride. He further stated that his instructions were to be mid field but the gelding failed to handle the going in today’s race. The Stewards showed App CK Khaw the vision of the start and advised him that he must ensure that his horses are given a fair and good jump so that he could carry out his instructions.

RACE 5 (R1381) CLASS 4 (A) – 1200M
MISE EN GARDE and HUN YEANG ROAD, both course scratchings as they had an abscess in the near fore and was bruised near fore sole respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
READY TO ROLL (KC Wong) laid out approaching the finish and bumped CAMBRIDGE (App P Mogun) which was taken wider on the track.
Jockey AK Lim, the rider of SPADE OF ACE, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that SPADE OF ACE returned having cast its off fore plate.
A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT SPIRIT revealed that the gelding fractured its off fore suspensory and was humanely euthanized.
A post-race veterinary examination of CAMBRIDGE revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 6 (R1382) CLASS 4 (B) – 1200M
BRAVE MALALA, a course scratching as it was sore right knee, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
FUSION POWER which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
Trainer F Maynard was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for FUSION POWER (J Low).
The Stewards permitted Jockey S Salee to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of LUCKY SIXTYSIX.
BIG LIGHTNING (S Ruzaini) jumped away awkwardly.
SO THE THING (AK Lim) shifted inwards on jumping away and bumped PURE JUSTICE (App CK Khaw).
VOLANTE GENERAL (SU Lim) was checked shortly after the start and lost its position when HAPPY BOX SIX (App WW Cheah) was taken in by PURE JUSTICE. Shortly thereafter, HAPPY BOX SIX had to check to avoid the heels of PURE JUSTICE.
Jockey S Salee, the rider of LUCKY SIXTYSIX, reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality.

MIROTIC, a course scratching as it was bruised off fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Trainer R Lines was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours for PERFECT RUN (App WW Cheah).
MAJOR GREEN (R Rueven) which was leaning on the outside of the gate, stood when the gates were released and lost ground.
Jockey R Rueven, the rider of MAJOR GREEN, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of MAJOR GREEN revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 8 (R1384) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100M
LEE’S SURPRISE, a course scratching as it was knocked off fore tendon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
D’GREAT LORD which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
The Stewards permitted Jockey HS Gill to replace Jockey Z Khairil as the rider of LOYALTY’S ANGEL.
MACHO MAN (SU Lim) which was difficult to be loaded, was fractious in the barrier, reared when the gates were released, almost dislodged its rider and lost considerable ground, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.
SWIFT (R Rueven) jumped away awkwardly and the rider lost the use of his off side iron for a short distance.
SUPER GOOD (KC Wong) steadied shortly after the start when SPARKLER (R Shafiq) shifted outwards and at the same time D’GREAT LORD (J Low) shifted inwards.
MACHO MAN raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.
SPARKLER over-raced passing the 800M and got its head up on several occasions.
Jockey Y Aify, the rider of DARK EXPRESS, reported that his mount was making respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination of DARK EXPRESS revealed no obvious abnormality.
A post-race veterinary examination of TILSWORTH JOSHI (S Ruzaini) revealed no obvious abnormality.
