MAZANZE, a course scratching as it had sustained left eye corneal ulcer, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
LEOPARD ECLIPSE which was down 17kgs in body weight and CHIPS and BANGKOK BOY which were up 16kgs and 18kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and all were passed fit to start.

I AM THE STAR which was down 33kgs in body weight and CASTLE CHOICE and MISS MICHELLE which were up 19kgs and 29kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and all were passed fit to start.
GENERAL TYCOON (App I Firdzriel) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.
MISS MICHELLE (Y Aify) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.
PRATT STREET (F Yap) had to steady racing to the 1000M to avoid the heels of CASTLE CHOICE (App P Haris) which rolled in.
GENERAL TYCOON had to steady passing the 800M when hanging in.
The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that I AM THE STAR (App A Azizi) returned cut off fore coronet and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Emergency acceptor, LUKE MAN was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
SHADOW SPEED, NO REGRETS and GEB WARRIOR which were up 34kgs, 25kgs and 29kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and all were passed fit to start.
Trainer CC Ooi was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for fitting the cross-nose band on SHADOW SPEED (App I Firdzriel) incorrectly which had to be re-fitted behind the barrier.
NO REGRETS (Z Khairil) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.
Jockey S Salee, the rider of CAORUNN reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality

RACE 6 (R209) CLASS 4(A) – 1100M
TRUDY, a course scratching as it had sustained a nail prick to its off fore foot, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
BIG DALLAS and MR DAVID which were down 19kgs and up 27kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
Acting on veterinary advice that TILSWORTH JACOBI (App A Nazir) was fractious in the stall, reared up dislodging its rider, backed out, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 2.49 pm. TILSWORTH JACOBI will be required to pass 1 (one) Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.
STRIP IT DOWN (SU Lim) which dislodged its rider at the barrier and was difficult to be boxed, will be required to pass 1 (one) Starting Stall test before being declared to race again.
BIG DALLAS (HS Gill) jumped away awkwardly and bumped GOLD SKY BILLION (S Ruzaini).
A post-race veterinary examination of TILSWORTH JACOBI revealed that the gelding returned cut near fore cannon and will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

AUTUMN BLITZ which was up 26kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
PENANG MAN (App CT Lee) jumped away awkwardly and shifted in at the start, resulting in BIG POWER (HS Gill) losing its position.

Emergency acceptors, ALCATRAZ and HONEY BOWL were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.
SACRED SHAM , a course scratching as it had sustained cellulitis off fore fetlock (old wound), will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
ECLIPSE SPLASH and BIG TRUCK which were down 20kgs and 21kgs respectively in body weight and HELIOSPHERE and MAGIC CITY which were up 15kgs and 20kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and all were passed fit to start.
FLYING BABY (App I Firdzriel) stood when the gates were released and was slow to begin.
NOVA STRIKE (App P Haris) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
Jockey S Ruzaini, the rider of MAGIC CITY, the winner of the race, dropped his whip approaching the finish.
The saddle on BIG TRUCK (App R Narendran) slipped backwards during the running.
Jockeys J Low, HS Gill and KC Wong, the respective rider of D’GREAT CONQUEROR, DIRECTOR and ARAGORN, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations revealed that D’GREAT CONQUEROR returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again, DIRECTOR returned with no obvious abnormality and ARAGORN returned having cast its off hind plate.
A post-race veterinary examination of FLYING BABY revealed no obvious abnormality.

Emergency acceptors, ANOTHER SHOW and EMKI EXPRESS were both withdrawn due to a capacity field.
BIG SUPER, a course scratching as it was sore off fore fetlock (knocked), will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
REWARDING SMILE and STORMY BELLA which were up 37kgs and 30kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and both were passed fit to start.
The Stewards permitted App A Nazir to replace App AR Aiman as the rider of I’M THE MAN due to a misunderstanding during declaration.
OVERLORD (SU Lim) and GOLDEN COIN (HK Cheng) were both slow to begin.
L’KEN (L De Souza) stood and was very slow to begin.
Post-race veterinary examinations of GENERAL NIX (Z Khairil) and MBAPPE (App S Rosmizan) revealed that both returned cut near hind and will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again .

Emergency acceptor, STRONG MAN was withdrawn due to a capacity field.
TILSWORTH JOSHI and VENUS DE MILO, both course scratching as they were knocked off fore tendon and sore off fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
Acting on veterinary advice that SECKILL (Z Khairil) was sore both fore, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of SECKILL at 4.55pm. SECKILL will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
HALLELUJAH (App I Firdzriel) was slow to begin.
Jockey KC Wong, the rider of MON ENERGY reported that his mount was making respiratory noises during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding returned exhibiting signs of respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

HOSTWIN QUEEN (CK Tan) jumped away awkwardly and raced keenly in the early stages.
App S Rosmizan, the rider of KIPEH and App CT Lee, the rider of GERMANIC reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of KIPEH and GERMANIC revealed no obvious abnormality.

GENERAL REPORT(S)
RACE 4 (R816) CLASS 4(B) – 1300M, SUNDAY, 11TH OCTOBER 2020, 1ST DAY, PENANG OCTOBER MEETING 2020
At the conclusion of an Inquiry today (21st March 2021) into Jockey S Ruzaini’s ride on MAZANZE in the above race, further evidence was taken from Jockey S Ruzaini. After noting his explanation, the Stewards took no further action.
RACE 9 (R1079) CLASS 5(A) – 1300M, SUNDAY, 27TH DECEMBER 2020, 2ND DAY, PENANG DECEMBER MEETING 2020
The Stewards today (21st March 2021) concluded an Inquiry into the saddling of BANGKOK BOY (App R Narendran) in the above race and took further evidence from Trainer HS Lim and Mr. T Jayabala a/l Tannimalai, the trainer and owner of BANGKOK BOY respectively.
After taking into consideration all the evidence, Owner T Jayabala a/l Tannimalai was charged under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for negligence in that he took the saddle of BANGKOK BOY when not authorized to do so. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of RM500/-.
Trainer HS Lim was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for negligence in that as the trainer of BANGKOK BOY, he failed to ensure that the saddle of BANGKOK BOY was secured from the Scales by his staff in the above race. He was fined the sum of RM2,000/- and was informed of his Right of Appeal (3.45 pm).

PERAK FEBRUARY-MARCH (HOME-BASED) MEETING 2021
The report dated 18th March 2021 (V21/012) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 24 bottles of coded urine samples and 25 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 6th March 2021, for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.
