RACE 1 (R256) CLASS 5(A) – 1600m (lc) JAYA BARU HANDICAP

SUPREME JUSTICE, a course scratching as it had lacerated left top eye lid, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

GLORY AGE (R Rueven) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.

The Panel of Stewards opened an Inquiry into the riding of Jockey HK Cheng (CLOUD SHADOW) and trained by Trainer CC Ooi. After taking evidence from Trainer CC Ooi, the trainer of CLOUD SHADOW, Jockey HK Cheng and reviewing the video of the race, Jockey HK Cheng pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Panel of Stewards, in that from about the1400M to the 600M, he permitted CLOUD SHADOW to race unnecessarily wide when there was an opportunity to get a better position in the race.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey HK Cheng’s guilty plea, disciplinary record and mitigating factors. Jockey HK was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months, with effect from Monday, 5^th April 2021 and to expire on Friday, 4^th June 2021, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his right of appeal (4.40pm).

A post-race veterinary examination of CLOUD SHADOW (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R257) CLASS 5(A) – 1400m (lc) HULU IJOK HANDICAP

Jockey Z Khairil was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to make the carded weight on GOOD TASTE. The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey M Yusri to replace him as the rider of GOOD TASTE.

SILENT BOSS (KC Wong) and I AM MIDAS (L De Souza) were examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and were passed fit to start.

BUTCH CASSIDY (J Daniel) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.

The saddle on ROCK ME EASY (S Muniandy) slipped back during the running of the race.

GOOD TASTE (M Yusri) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockeys S Saddam and J Daniel, the rider of SUNNY FIGHTER and BUTCH CASSIDY respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of SUNNY FIGHTER and BUTCH CASSIDY revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 3 (R258) CLASS 5(A) – 1400m (lc) LEKIR HANDICAP

JACKS SECRET, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised sole off fore respectively, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Emergency acceptor MASTRO GEPPETTO was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

NOVA SPIRIT (App I Firdzriel) was slow to begin.

ON THE RAZZ (KC Wong) which was fractious in the barrier and turned its head to the inside, as the start was effected, losing considerable ground, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

The saddle on QUASAR (Y Aify) slipped back during the running of the race.

Post-race veterinary examinations of ON THE RAZZ and KEEN DRAGON (AM Aizat) revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 4 (R259) CLASS 4(A) -1300m (lc) TEMBOK BENDERA HANDICAP

TRIPLE ONE STAR, a course scratching as it had a wound at its off hind fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Emergency acceptors ROSES FOR ME and FUSION POWER were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

BAKUTEH (M Ganeesh) which was difficult to proceed to the start, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 2.11pm. BAKUTEH will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test [to be ridden unaided to the start] before being declared to race again.

DUTY FIRST (J Chuah) and MASTER JIANGMEN (I Amirul) were both slow to begin.

The saddle on ZAC ACE (App WW Cheah) slipped back during the running of the race.

LISBOA STAR (L De Souza) had to be steadied approaching the finish to avoid the heel of PLACE YOUR BET (App CT Lee).

App CT Lee, the rider of PLACE YOUR BET reported that he had shoulder injury and as a result, was unable to ride the gelding out in the normal manner. This was confirmed by the Club Medical Officer that he has dislocated his shoulder and was sent to hospital for observation. App CT Lee was advised that he must present a medical clearance before riding trackwork or races.

Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of PERFECT COMMANDO was fined RM500/- under MRA Rule 41(6)(c)(i) for using the whip forward of the shoulder.

TONGARIRO, a course scratching as it had sustained cellulitis near hind cannon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again

Emergency acceptors HARLEY FLAME and IPOH DASH were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

CRACKING TOTTIE (J Daniel) was examined by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to start.

RULE THE WORLD (HS Gill), SHADOW SPEED (App P Haris) and D’GREAT DUCHESS (Z Khairil) were all slow to begin.

D’GREAT RICH (AM Aizat) jumped away awkwardly.

Approaching the 100M, CRACKING TOTTIE was held up for clearing running between D’GREAT RICH on the inside and FLYING EBONY (App I Firdzriel) on the outside and shortly thereafter, CRACKING TOTTIE had to shift to the outside of FLYING EBONY for a clear run.

Jockey HS Gill and App I Firdzriel, the rider of RULE THE WORLD and FLYING EBONY respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of RULE THE WORLD revealed no obvious abnormality and FLYING EBONY had returned lame near fore and having cast its near hind plate. FLYING EBONY will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R261) CLASS 4(B) -1100M (sc) COLUMBIA HANDICAP

JULIUS CAESAR which was down 20kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

The Panel of Stewards permitted App YY Oon to replace App CT Lee as the rider of BALL AND CHAIN when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

Acting on veterinary advice that RED SYMPHONY (S Muniandy) was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 3.15pm. RED SYMPHONY will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

MISS MICHELLE (App P Haris) jumped away awkwardly.

Trainer MP Thwaites was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on REALITY.

BIG LIGHTNING (SU Lim) was slow to begin.

Emergency acceptor BRISTOL DIAMOND was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

GRAND CROSS which was down 15kgs in body weight since it last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey AM Aizat to replace Jockey C Goon, as the rider of DIRECTOR when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

After being placed in the barrier, stalls numbers 2, 4 and 5 opened prematurely, resulting in BLACK AND WHITE (App YY Oon), ROYAL RULER (S Salee) and DESIRE SKY (App WW Cheah) coming out of their barriers and having to be restrained. These runners returned to the start, examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to race. The Starter carried out inspections of the barriers and found to be fully operational.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that NOVA FALCON (App I Firdzriel) had returned lame near fore and as such, the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000m/vet) before being declared to race again.

MIRACLE TIME (AM Aizat) which was fractious in the barrier, was taken out for examination. Acting on a veterinary advice that the gelding had sustained a bruised right stifle, the Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of MIRACLE TIME as 2.17pm and the gelding will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

DON’T FORGET THIS jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.

FRANCES (Z Khairil) was slow to begin.

BLACK IS POWER (SU Lim) which was racing tight on the inside of FRANCES racing to the 1000M, had to be steadied at about the 900M.

App I Firdzriel, the rider of INDOMITABLE SPEED reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of INDOMITABLE SPEED revealed no obvious abnormality.

TEAM WINNER (App P Haris) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.

The saddle on D’GREAT CHANCE (AK Lim) slipped back during the running of the race.

Jockey WK Yan, the rider of CHIEF CLERK, the 3^rd place-getter, was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that at about the 400M, he dropped his whip.

App P Haris, the rider of TEAM WINNER reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of TEAM WINNER revealed that the gelding had returned with lame off fore, as such will required to pass a 1000m/veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

GENERAL REPORT-PRTC

PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST:

The report dated 3^rd April 2021 (V21/05) Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 106 coded blood samples were received from the above-mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.

INQUIRY INTO THE POST-RACE URINE SAMPLE CODED “28235” TAKEN FROM RACEHORSE “GRAND SHOW” IN RACE 1 (R892), CLASS 5(B) -1400M(lc) – ASTERS HANDICAP ON 2^ND DAY, 1^ST NOVEMBER 2020, PERAK OCTOBER/NOVEMBER MEETING 2020, WHICH RETURNED POSITIVE TO “PARECOXIB, VALDECOXIB”, A PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES UNDER THE MRA RULES AND REGULATIONS.

The Panel of Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the above matter today, Saturday, 3^rd April 2021 at the Perak Turf Club.

Evidence were taken from Trainer KC Tiang, the trainer of GRAND SHOW, Dr. Chan Sue Hay, Chief Analyst of Usains Biomics Laboratory and Dr. Reza Singam, Senior Veterinary Surgeon of PRTC.

Trainer KC Tiang pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 134(6)(a) as read with MRA Rule 134(13) and punishable under MRA Rule 134(7) in that he, as the trainer and person responsible for presenting and accepting to run GRAND SHOW, which finished third placing and its post-race urine sample coded “28235” subsequently upon analysis, had returned positive to “PARECOXIB, VALDECOXIB”, a prohibited substance under the MRA Rules.

When deciding on penalties, the Panel of Stewards took into account Trainer KC Tiang’s mitigating factors, the nature of the prohibited substance and his previous record. Trainer KC Tiang was fined a sum of RM10,000/= (Malaysian Ringgit Ten Thousand only). He was informed of his right of appeal (12.45pm)

In addition, in terms of MRA Rule 134(11), GRAND SHOW was disqualified from the above race and the results will be amended accordingly.

PRTC EQUINE HOSPITAL

ZAZU (V32) trained by Trainer Lawson Moy had undergone corrective surgery at the PRTC Equine Hospital between 22nd. February to 21st. March 2021 for tie-back and Hobday and as such, it will be required to pass a Steward’s Embargo Test before being declared to race again.

RACE 4 (R816) CLASS 4(B) – 1300M, SUNDAY, 11^TH OCTOBER 2020, 1^ST DAY, PENANG OCTOBER MEETING 2020

At the conclusion of an Inquiry today (21^st March 2021) into Jockey S Ruzaini’s ride on MAZANZE in the above race, further evidence was taken from Jockey S Ruzaini. After noting his explanation, the Stewards took no further action.

RACE 9 (R1079) CLASS 5(A) – 1300M, SUNDAY, 27^TH DECEMBER 2020, 2^ND DAY, PENANG DECEMBER MEETING 2020

The Stewards today (21^st March 2021) concluded an Inquiry into the saddling of BANGKOK BOY (App R Narendran) in the above race and took further evidence from Trainer HS Lim and Mr. T Jayabala a/l Tannimalai, the trainer and owner of BANGKOK BOY respectively.

After taking into consideration all the evidence, Owner T Jayabala a/l Tannimalai was charged under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for negligence in that he took the saddle of BANGKOK BOY when not authorized to do so. He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of RM500/-.

Trainer HS Lim was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for negligence in that as the trainer of BANGKOK BOY, he failed to ensure that the saddle of BANGKOK BOY was secured from the Scales by his staff in the above race. He was fined the sum of RM2,000/- and was informed of his Right of Appeal (3.45 pm).

SUPREME JUSTICE which was down 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

GOLD COAST CAPTAIN, JETSTAR EAGLE and RACING MAN , all course scratching as they had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, swollen near fore fetlock and bruised near fore fetlock respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

STAR CHOICE which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

NAPOLEON (Z Khairil) jumped away awkwardly and was slow into stride.

App S Hafis and Jockey J Daniel, the riders of YOU ARE SPECIAL and ASIAN JET respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of YOU ARE SPECIAL revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore and ASIAN JET revealed no obvious abnormality. YOU ARE SPECIAL will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

At about the 1000M, PEARL KING (App P Mogun) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of EMPIRE BAY (AK Lim).

Jockey J Daniel, the rider of BUTCH CASSIDY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of BUTCH CASSIDY revealed no obvious abnormality.

Post-race veterinary examinations of YOU ARE GENIUS (AM Aizat) and SWISS ROLL revealed that both these horses returned having bled and as such, will each be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will each be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

LINCOLN COUNTY and MY FIRST MILLION which were down 24kgs and 23kgs respectively, in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

As there is no suitable apprentice available, the Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey J Daniel to replace App I Firdzriel as the rider of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT as the latter was certified unwell.

TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT (J Daniel) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT shifted outwards on jumping away and COLORADO PRINCE (HK Cheng) shifted inwards, resulting in FIELD FORCE (R Rueven) having to steady and lose ground.

MY FIRST MILLION (App R Lingarajan) jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.

GOLDEN ROOSTER (AK Lim) shifted out from the 100M, finishing wider on the track and over the concluding stages, took LINCOLN COUNTY (J Low) wider. Jockey AK Lim, the rider of GOLDEN ROOSTER was shown the vision of the incident and was advised to keep his mount straighter under similar circumstances in future.

Jockey J Daniel, the rider of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT revealed no obvious abnormality.

After the running of Race 2, Jockeys made representations to the Panel of Stewards regarding the safety of the track and a representation of Trainers was also heard. After considering the Jockeys and the Trainer’s representation, the Panel of Stewards decided to run Race 3 as scheduled.

After the running of Race 3, another Jockeys’ representation put forward to the Panel of Stewards the prevailing adverse weather condition resulting in the poor visibility and their safety. After hearing their representations, the Panel of Stewards decided to abandon Race 4 to Race 11 at 1.42pm.

PENANG DECEMBER MEETING 2020 – 20^th DECEMBER 2020

The report dated 31^st December 2020 (V20/100) from the Chief Analyst of USains Biomics Laboratory stated that 24 bottles of coded urine samples and 24 sets of coded blood samples from the above mentioned race meeting were received on 21^st December 2020 for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. No prohibited substances were detected.

PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 27^th DECEMBER 2020 AGAINST VALET SOPHIAN HADI BIN ISMAIL (MRA NUMBER V.5)

The Penang Turf Club Stewards continued their investigations into a security report with respect to Valet Sophian Hadi bin Ismail (MRA number V.5). Encik Sophian Hadi presented an analytical report dated 19^th December 2020 from the KPJ Hospital, Ipoh to the Stewards and Covid-19 was not detected.

The Stewards advised him that in future, he must comply with all PNTC’s directives and SOPs.

ASIAN TIGER which was up 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

Trainer HY Cheng was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on ASIAN TIGER (HK Cheng).

Acting on veterinary advice that BALL AND CHAIN (Z Khairil) was lame off fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 3.19pm. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M & vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockeys CK Tan and S Muniandy, the riders of RED SYMPHONY and KUBERA’S CHIEF respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of RED SYMPHONY and KUBERA’S CHIEF revealed no obvious abnormality.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry, evidence were taken from Trainer S Shanmugam, the trainer of KUBERA’S CHIEF and Jockey S Muniandy, the rider of KUBERA’S CHIEF. Jockey S Muniandy (KUBERA’S CHIEF) was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

The particulars of the charge are that:

From about the 1000M to the 600M, he unnecessarily restrained KUBERA’S CHIEF when there was an opportunity to improve his position.

When deciding on a penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into consideration Jockey S Muniandy’s riding record and mitigating factors. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months. Acting under the provision of MRA Rule 48(5), the Panel of Stewards deferred the commencement of Jockey S Muniandy’s suspension to take effect from Monday, 7^th December 2020 and to expire on Saturday, 6^th February 2021, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his right of appeal (4.20pm).

At the conclusion of an Inquiry, evidence were taken from Trainer K Coetzee, the trainer of PARTY GIRL and Jockey HS Gill, the rider of PARTY GIRL. Jockey HS Gill (PARTY GIRL) was found guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

The particulars of the charge are that:1) From about the 1000M to the 600M, he unnecessarily restrained PARTY GIRL on several occasions.

DON’T FORGET THIS (M Yusri) was slow to begin.

SUPREME JUSTICE (F Yap) jumped away awkwardly.

The saddle on KRUGER (J Daniel) slipped forward during the running.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that PHAN NEE STAR (App S Hafis) returned having cast its near fore plate.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey F Yap, the rider of SUPREME JUSTICE pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards.

The particulars of the charge were that:

After the jump, he failed to ride with sufficient vigour and determination to be in a mid-field position as instructed;
He failed to ride with sufficient vigour and determination to improve his position from the 900M to the 350M, when there was an opportunity to do so.

When deciding on a penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into account Jockey F Yap’s, guilty plea, riding record and mitigating factors. Jockey F Yap was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months, effective tomorrow, Monday, 2^nd November 2020 and to expire on 1^st January 2021, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his right of appeal (3.25pm).

Trainer Evert van Breukelen’s explanations were noted.

JULIUS CAESAR, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near knee, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

SANGKURIANG and RED SYMPHONY which were down 15kgs and 17kgs respectively in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

Acting on veterinary advice that SHOSHA KAZANAN was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4.05pm. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

PERFECT COMMANDO (Z Khairil) rolled in racing to the 800M and as a result, SANGKURIANG (CK Tan) had to be eased.

The saddle on MR WOLFF (AM Aizat) slipped back during the running.

A post-race veterinary examination of that LUCKY ENOUGH (HS Gill) revealed that the gelding had bled and as such, will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

SOON YOU THINK, INDOMITABLE SPEED (App S Hafis), TAN’S MAESTRO and POLO MASTER (SU Lim) which raced poorly, will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of INDOMITABLE SPEED and POLO MASTER revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that INDOMITABLE SPEED returned having cast its near fore plate.

The Panel of Stewards opened an inquiry into the running of this race, in particular as to why SOON YOU THINK, INDOMITABLE SPEED, TAN’S MAESTRO and POLO MASTER were non-competitive in the race. Jockey HS Gill, the rider of SOON YOU THINK stated that his mount jumped away awkwardly and his instructions were to be mid-field. He stated that SOON YOU THINK failed to respond to his riding in the early and middle stages and was racing further back than he anticipated.

App S Hafis, the rider of INDOMITABLE SPEED stated that his instructions were to jump and sit where comfortable. He stated that the pace of the race was fast and did not suit the gelding.

Jockey J Chuah, the rider of TAN’S MAESTRO stated that his instructions were to jump and sit mid-field. However, he missed the jump and was unable to carry out his instructions and that the gelding failed to respond to his riding in the middle stages of the race and ran on fairly.

Jockey SU Lim, the rider of POLO MASTER stated that his instructions were to get a good jump and sit where comfortable. He stated that the gelding was not suited by the strong pace set by SUPREME JUSTICE (C Goon).

Jockeys HS Gill, J Chuah, SU Lim and App S Hafis were all advised that their explanations were noted and the Panel of Stewards warned them that they must ride all their mounts in a competitive manner and leave no reason for query.

YES BOSSY which was up 20kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

To avoid unnecessary delay, the Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of YELLOW JADE HORSE (Z Khairil) at 3.13pm as the gelding, which was fractious, was unable to be re-shod after having cast its off fore plate.

CAUSE TO FLY (App S Hafis) and SWISS ROLL (App S Saddam) were both slow to begin.

YES BOSSY (HS Gill) jumped away awkwardly.

CASTLE OCEAN (App A Azizi) rolled in racing to the 800M, resulting in STANDOUT (R Rueven) being bumped inwards onto JUMBO STAR (App SN Shiva), which in turn, bumped CLARTON FORTUNE (CK Tan) ontoYES BOSSY on the rail.

Post-race veterinary examinations of STANDOUT and SPEEDY AMIGA (KC Wong) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Panel of Stewards questioned Trainer HS Lim, the trainer of CASTLE OCEAN as to the gelding’s improved performance today. He stated that CASTLE OCEAN had two (2) barrier practices in Penang and that he expected an improved showing today. His explanations were noted.

LADY LAKSHMI, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Acting on veterinary advice that CAORUNN had sustained a cut in its mouth, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1.35pm and the gelding will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MR WOLFF which was up 22kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

DEADLINE DAY (J De Souza), JULIUS CAESAR (App CT Lee) and STIRLING (App S Hafis) were all slow to begin.

DEADLINE DAY broke down racing to the 600M and dislodged its rider, Jockey J De Souza. STIRLING and JULIUS CAESAR which were following, had to take evasive actions to avoid the fallen horse and the rider.

App CT Lee, the rider of JULIUS CAESAR reported that he was struck in the face by the plate of the fallen horse.

Jockey J De Souza, the rider of DEADLINE DAY was exempted from weighing in and was taken to hospital for observations.

A post-race veterinary examination of JULIUS CAESAR revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that DEADLINE DAY had sustained bilateral mid-cannon fracture and was humanely euthanized.

The Course Manager inspected the area of the track at the 600M and was satisfied that it was safe for racing.

LIM’S PIPER, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

KING POWER, which was up 18kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

KANTE (SS Vanan), ANONYMOUS (S Salee) and ONE FOR ALL (AM Aizat) were all slow to begin.

Jockey SS Vanan, the rider of KANTE reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of KANTE revealed no obvious abnormality

Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by Jockey HK Cheng, the rider of CRACKING TOTTIE, placed 4^th against SILVER WIND (App S Hafis), placed 3^rd on ground of alleged interference at the final 50M. After considering all the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the interference had not affected the results of the race. The objection was overruled and the Judges’ placings stood.

App S Hafis, the rider of SILVER WIND in the presence of his Acting Trainer, Mr. Evert van Breukelen, was shown the vision of the race in the final 100M and he was advised that under similar circumstances in future, he must stop and straighten his mount.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that ALWAYS D’GREAT returned having cast its both fore plates.

MORE THAN FAST dislodged its rider, Jockey F Yap enroute to the start. Jockey F Yap was certified unfit by the Club Medical Officer and was subsequently stood down. The Panel of Stewards ordered the withdrawal of MORE THAN FAST at 5.21pm and the gelding will be required to pass one starting stall test to be ridden unaided to the start before being declared to race again.

Prior to leaving the Parade Ring, the saddles of ROSES FOR ME (S Muniandy) and SING ROULETTE (KC Wong) had to be re-weighed when it was reported to the Panel of Stewards that the saddles on the respective horses were incorrect. After taking evidence from Trainers K Coetzee and PK Leong, Jockeys KC Wong and S Muniandy and Valet Sophian Hadi bin Ismail (MRA Pass No.V.5). After considering all the evidence, the Panel of Stewards took no further action.

COMECATCHME (R Rueven) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

TRIPLE ONE D’GREAT (SS Vanan) jumped away awkwardly and shifted in, resulting in WHAT (App S Saddam) losing its position.

ONE O NINE (S Anandan) raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.

RANT AND RAVE (App S Hafis) laid out over the concluding 100M, taking PEARL KING (App P Mogun) wider on the track.

The report dated 24^th October 2020 (V20/13) Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 93 coded blood samples were received from the above-mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.

DISCRETELY RED continued to lay out and approaching the 200M, App S Saddam, the rider of DISCRETELY RED accidentally struck the whip off from Jockey J Low, the rider of HENG KINGDOM and continued to lay out, taking HENG KINGDOM wider on the track.
