THE JEWELLER, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore fetlock, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Emergency Acceptors SILVER JOY and CHAR SIEW were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

YOU ARE SPECIAL which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

BULL RUN (S Anandan) was over-racing in the early stages and thereafter, was hanging in in the straight.

YOU ARE SPECIAL (App P Haris) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey J Daniel, the rider of SING DARCI reported that his mount was making an abnormal respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination of SING DARCI revealed no obvious abnormality. SING DARCI which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockeys S Anandan and AK Lim, the riders of BULL RUN and VALUE OF JUSTICE respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of BULL RUN and VALUE OF JUSTICE revealed no obvious abnormality.

A post-race veterinary examination of LEEDSTHEWAY revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 2 (R1267) CLASS 5 (A) – 1600m (lc) BIG ROLE HANDICAP

TAIWAN CAPTAIN, a course scratching as it had sustained sole bruised near fore, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Emergency Acceptors HEX MARK and SUPREME JUSTICE were withdrawn due to a capacity field.

MYSTICAL STAR (KP Lim) was slow into stride.

WHY NOT (SU Lim) was hanging out in the straight.

SUCCESS STREET (AM Aizat) shifted out from the whip in the straight, finishing the race wide.

Jockey KP Lim, the rider of MYSTICAL STAR reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of MYSTICAL STAR revealed no obvious abnormality.

Post-race veterinary examinations of BIG MONKEY (KC Tham) and MAZANZE (App R Ruwaidy) revealed no obvious abnormality. DREAMS CAN BE REAL (HS Gill) returned broken-winded and as such, the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that FIRST SUCCESS (App SN Shiva) returned having cast its near fore plate.

When questioned with regards to the improved performance of WHY NOT, Trainer WC Lim stated that he is of the opinion that due to a weaker field today and that the gelding had been working well, may have contributed to its improved performance.

CAVANA, a course scratching as it had sustained bruised left eye, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

HEART OF FIRE (App H Haikal) jumped awkwardly outwards, brushing MYSTERIOUS CAPTAIN (KP Lim), which in turn, tightened VILLAGE TYCOON (KC Tham) which was slow into stride.

MYSTERIOUS CAPTAIN over-raced in the early stages.

VILLAGE TYCOON was obliged to race wide on the turn.

HEART OF FIRE was hanging out in the straight, finishing the race wide.

RACE 4 (R1269) CLASS 4 (B) – 1300m (lc) BEAUTIFUL CHOICE HANDICAP

APIS and OCEAN LAW, both are course scratching. APIS had fever whilst OCEAN LAW had respiratory allergy. Each will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Trainer Bonny Ng was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(c) for failing to produce the declared colours on GENERAL NIX (AK Lim).

GALILEO’S APPROACH (SU Lim) was examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

THAILAND CAPTAIN (KP Lim) showed no early pace.

The whip of jockey AK Lim, the rider of GENERAL NIX broke during the running.

GENERAL NIX which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockeys KP Lim and SU Lim, the riders of THAILAND CAPTAIN and GALILEO’S APPROACH respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of THAILAND CAPTAIN revealed that the gelding had returned with respiratory distress and GALILEO’S APPROACH revealed no obvious abnormality. THAILAND CAPTAIN will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 6 (R1271) CLASS 5(A) –1100m (sc) NOBLE HERO HANDICAP

SPEEDY DEMON which was up 15kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

Passing the 350M-mark, SUNNY FIGHTER (SU Lim) was momentarily inconvenienced when ULURU (App SN Shiva) rolled in.

Post-race veterinary examinations of KING POWER (KC Tham) revealed that the gelding had returned with epiglotic entrapment, COLOUR PAINT (HS Gill) had bled and GOLD SKY EXPRESS (AK Lim) had returned lame near fore.

COLOUR PAINT will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again. KING POWER and GOLD SKY EXPRESS will each be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 7 (R1272) CLASS 5(A) – 1100m (sc) SUPREME ECHO HANDICAP

The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey KP Lim to replace Jockey J Daniel as the rider of ROSES FOR ME, as the latter was medically stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

YES BOSSY (HS Gill) jumped awkwardly.

Jockey KP Lim, the rider of ROSES FOR ME reported that he had checked his mount at approximately the 300M-mark. On reviewing the video, it was apparent that there was no check and Jockey KP Lim was warned that in future, he must be more accurate with his race reports.

A post-race veterinary examination of LEESTOWN EXPRESS (KC Tham) revealed that the gelding had returned broken-winded and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

RACE 8 (R1273) CLASS 5 (B) – 1100m (sc) SOLO VENTURE HANDICAP

NEW GARDEN, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised near fore suspensory, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Acting on veterinary advice that GAIN ECLIPSE was lame off hind, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4.29pm and the mare will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Acting on veterinary advice that SUNNY STAR (App SN Shiva) was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 4.58pm and the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

VICTOREM (HS Gill) jumped awkwardly.

Approaching the 800M-mark, NATUREISSPEAKING (KC Tham) clipped the heels of ROCK ME EASY (L De Souza) and stumbled. Jockey L De Souza, the rider of ROCK ME EASY was shown the video of the incident and after consideration, the Stewards took no further action, other than warning Jockey L De Souze that he must exercise more care when shifting ground in future.

VICTOREM which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of PROVOCATEUR (AM Aizat) revealed that the gelding had returned with respiratory distress and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that GRAND KNIGHT (App R Ruwaidy) had bled and as such, the gelding will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

The Panel of Stewards permitted Jockey KC Tham to replace Jockey J De Souza as the rider of FLYING SPIDER, when the latter was medically stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

As there is no suitable rider available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App SN Shiva to replace Jockey J Daniel as the rider of BRISTOL DIAMOND.

COUNTRY LAW which was up 31kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

The Senior Veterinary Surgeon of Perak Turf Club reported that the follow-up post- race veterinary examination which was conducted at Selangor Turf Club on STRONG N BEST (K378), which ran in Race 4 on Sunday, 5^th November 2023 during the Perak November Race Meeting 2023 revealed that the gelding returned broken-winded and as such, the gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/Vet) before being declared to race again.

TILSWORTH MALI (S Ruzaini) was obliged to race wide on the turn and entered the home straight wide.

GOLDEN CUP (App AB Riduan) was hanging out in the straight, finishing the race wide.

App AB Riduan, the rider of GOLDEN CUP reported that his saddle slipped back during the running.

TIGRESS (WH Kok) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Jockey HS Gill was questioned with regards to the disappointing performance of YES BOSSY today. He stated that having gone to the lead, YES BOSSY tired and compounded in the straight. He is of the opinion that the gelding did not saddled up from last week’s run. A post-race veterinary examination of YES BOSSY revealed no obvious abnormality.

Post-race veterinary examinations of TIGRESS revealed no obvious abnormality, whilst BELLA VELOCE (AM Aizat) returned lame off fore. As such, BELLA VELOCE will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

STYLE OF DRAGON which was up 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to start.

FIRE AWAY (R Ruwaidy) and VILLAGE STAR (KC Tham) were both examined behind the barriers by the Club Veterinary Surgeon and were passed fit to start.

NOVA FALCON (App H Haikal) was slow into stride.

At approximately the 800M-mark, Jockey J Low felt something amiss with GALAXY LAW which duck outwards sharply and at approximately the 700M-mark, still feeling something amiss, Jockey J Low eased his mount up and dismounted. A post-race veterinary examination of GALAXY LAW revealed that the gelding had bled and as such, will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again. Jockey J Low was exempted from weighing-in and he was subsequently examined by the Club Medical Officer and was certified fit to continue riding for the remainder of the day.

THE BOSS (App SN Shiva) trialed the field and a post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had bled. As such, THE BOSS will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3)(a)&(b) and thereafter, will be required to pass a bleeder’s test before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of MASTER RYKER (App Clyde Leck) revealed that the gelding had returned lame near fore whilst STYLE OF DRAGON (KP Lim) revealed no obvious abnormality. MASTER RYKER will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

SIEW YUK, a course scratching as it had sustained a bruised off fore sole, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

Acting on veterinary advice that DAVINCI (HS Gill) was lame near fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1.42pm. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

WHY NOT (SU Lim) duck outwards and became unbalanced momentarily at approximately the 800M-mark.

As App AB Riduan had ridden his 40^th winner on NORTHERN STAR, he will be entitled to claim 2kgs effective from Monday, 6^th November 2023.

TOP KNIGHT (WH Kok) was slow into stride.

RELAU STAR (SU Lim) which was difficult to be boxed, delaying the start, will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

ANSU (J Daniel) was pulling hard in the early and middle stages.

TOP KNIGHT (WH Kok) was obliged to race wide rounding the turn, entering the home straight wide.

As STRONG N BEST (J De Souza) could not be scoped, a post-race veterinary examination of the gelding will follow.

Trainer KF Wong was questioned with regards to the improved performance of RELAU STAR today. The only explanation he could offer is that this horse had a light weight and was suited by the soft going today. His explanations were noted and his attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding ‘in-and-out’ running.

SING DARCI (J Daniel) which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

Post-race veterinary examinations of MY GOODNESS (App Clyde Leck) revealed that the gelding had returned broken-winded, HELLO MONDAY (App R Nuqman) revealed no obvious abnormality and returned having cast its near fore plate. MY GOODNESS will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The Senior Veterinary Surgeon of the Perak Turf Club reported that the following horse had undergone corrective surgery at the Perak Turf Club Equine Hospital between 22^nd August 2023 to 21^st September 2023 and as such, will be subjected to pass a Steward’s Embargo Test before being declared to race again: –

App SN Shiva, the rider of SOON YOU THINK, was shown the video of his ride in the homestraight in the presence of his master Trainer K Coetzee and he was warned against the use of whip when his mount was clearly out of contention.

App Azizi, the rider of JET BLACK was warned against the excessive use of his whip when his mount was clearly out of contention.

A post-race veterinary examination of ALL IN (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality and the gelding had returned having cast its near hind plate.

SUPREME SUCCESS which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

SHA NA NA (SU Lim) which was unable to be loaded, was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 1.52pm and the gelding will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

At the conclusion of an inquiry today, Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SING DARCI pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii), in that approaching the 500M-mark, he shifted in when insufficiently clear of TRINITY HONOR (S Ruzaini), resulting in TRINITY HONOR having to check and lose ground.

In assessing the penalty, the Panel of Stewards took into considerations Jockey AM Aizat’s guilty plea and mitigating factors. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days, effective from Monday, 28^th August 2023 and to expire on Saturday, 9^th September 2023, both dates inclusive. He was informed of his right of appeal (2.35pm).

A post-race veterinary examination of TRINITY HONOR revealed no obvious abnormality.

App WW Cheah and Jockey SU Lim, the riders of BEST BAY and D’GREAT RISE respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of BEST BAY revealed that mare returned lame off fore and D’GREAT RISE revealed no obvious abnormality. BEST BAY will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

As there was no suitable rider available, the Panel of Stewards permitted App SN Shiva to replace Jockey KP Lim, as the rider of THAILAND CAPTAIN whilst Jockey L De Souza to replace Jockey S Ruzaini, as the rider of STRAP MARKS when the latter were medically stood down.

FAST AND SUPER (R Rueven) jumped awkwardly, brushing its inside gate.

Trainer P Arumugam was questioned with regards to the disappointing performance of SIVAJI ROCKET (App Z Syafifie) today, as compared to its previous start on 30^th July 2023. The only explanation he could offer was, this horse was up in class today and that it had a wide barrier draw. His explanations were noted, however his attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding ‘in-and-out’ running.

Jockey J Low and App R Nuqman, the rider of NOVA FALCON and FIRE AWAY, both reported that their mount were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examination of NOVA FALCON and STRAP MARKS (L De Souza) revealed no obvious abnormality whilst FIRE AWAY returned lame off fore, as such FIRE AWAY will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

The Panel of Stewards questioned App WW Cheah, the rider of GENERATION M as to the reasons why he kept looking to his inside in the early part of the race. He explained that Jockey L De Souza, the rider of HEARTS OF GOLD kept shouting at him. Jockey L De Souza confirmed that he had been shouting to App WW Cheah on GENERATION M, as he was coming in and was slowing the pace down. In view of this, the Panel of Stewards took no further action.

The state of track was upgraded to ‘Yielding’ after the running of this race.

As the start was effected, CHIPS (App Z Syafifie) reared up badly, resulting in its rider striking the overhead bar and thereafter, stumbled, losing ground. CHIPS will be required to pass one starting stall test before being declared to race again.

KYO (SU Lim) was slow into stride.

Jockey R Rueven, the rider of D’GREAT CHANCE reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT CHANCE revealed no obvious abnormality.
