BLUE EYED BOY was slow into stride.

Jockeys HS Gill and R Rueven, the riders of DAVINCI and LUCK HAPPY respectively, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely.  Post-race veterinary examinations of DAVINCI and LUCK HAPPY revealed no obvious abnormality.  LUCK HAPPY returned having cast its off hind plate.

When questioned with regards to the disappointing performance of BLUE EYED BOY today, Trainer P Lee stated that BLUE EYED BOY was racing under him for the first time and he was unable to offer any tangible explanations.   Jockey S Saddam, the rider of BLUE EYED BOY stated that the gelding was slow into stride,  did not respond to his riding and was disappointing.   Their explanations were noted.   A post-race veterinary examination of BLUE EYED BOY revealed no obvious abnormality.

When questioned with regards to the improved performance of MIEJ (AK Lim) today, Trainer W Lim explained that MIEJ managed to get a good jump and raced on pace. His explanations were noted and his attention was drawn to MRA Rule 117(3) regarding ‘in-and-out’ running.

Jockey V Espindola, the rider of GOLDEN CRAFTSMAN was questioned with regards to his ride in the straight.  He was assisted by Jockey L De Souza as his interpreter.   Jockey V Espindola stated that the gelding hesitated to take a run on the inside rails at the 300M-mark, so he had to take the gelding wide for a run and the gelding responded.   His explanations were noted, however he was warned to ride all his mounts out in a manner so as to leave no room for query in future.
