SHREDDER (App R Narendran) jumped away awkwardly.

AMISTAD (SS Vanan) had to steady passing the 1400M when over-racing.

A post-race veterinary examination of ALWRICH (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of GOLDEN EXPLORER (R Rueven) at 1.06 pm. acting on veterinary advice that the gelding was sore near hind fetlock after being kicked at the saddling yard. GOLDEN EXPLORER will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

PENANG BANK (App CT Lee) was slow to begin.

A post-race veterinary examination of GOLDEN COIN (HK Cheng) revealed no obvious abnormality.

POLO TYCOON and RELIC WARRIOR which were up 25kgs and 26kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and both were passed fit to start.

Acting on veterinary advice that TILSWORTH JOSHI (R Rueven) was sore off fore, the Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1.45 pm. TILSWORTH JOSHI will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MR RIGHT (App R Ruwaidy) jumped away awkwardly.

Passing the 400M, the blinker/pacifier on SUPREME SASSO (App R Narendran) became undone and shifted from its normal position.

GENERAL TYCOON, a course scratching as it had sustained a swollen off fore tendon, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

MBAPPE (S Salee) put its head down when the start was effected and was slow to begin.

App S Rosmizan, the rider of HARLEY FLAME and Jockey S Anandan, the rider of LUKE MAN, reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of HARLEY FLAME revealed no obvious abnormality. LUKE MAN returned lame off fore and as such, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

CHRISTMAS EVE STAKES

FORSA ECLIPSE and ACE’S WILD, both course scratching as they were sore near fore fetlock and had a seedy toe near fore foot respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

ANONYMOUS (S Anandan) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.

FIERY SHINZO (App I Firdzriel) jumped away awkwardly.

ANONYMOUS was eased down from the 800M and pulled up at the 600M. Jockey S Anandan was exempted from weighing in. A post-race veterinary examination of ANONYMOUS revealed that the gelding sustained a ruptured off fore tendon and was humanely euthanized.

TRUDY (App S Rosmizan) laid out racing to the 300M and bumped SUNNY STAR

(App S Saddam).

RACE 6 (R1076) OPEN MAIDEN (WFA) – 1400M

GENERAL NIX and BAGHDAD, both course scratching as they had sustained a nail prick near fore foot and had skin allergy respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

CHINA CAPTAIN (App R Ruwaidy) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.

CHINA CAPTAIN jumped away awkwardly and was slow to begin.

LEESTOWN EXPRESS (App S Rosmizan) was slow to begin.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that YELLOW JADE HORSE (Z Khairil) sustained a fractured near fore cannon and was humanely euthanized. Jockey Z Khairil was exempted from weighing in.

A post-race veterinary examination of CHINA CAPTAIN revealed no obvious abnormality.

App R Ruwaidy, the rider of CHINA CAPTAIN, was questioned in the presence of his Employing Trainer C Robert into his use of the whip in the straight, shown the vision of the incident and advised that he must improve his whip use.

SECRET AGENT (App A Najib) lost its position racing to the 800M when SACRED GALAXY (App S Rosmizan) rolled in. As a consequence, WHY NOT (CK Tan) was checked to avoid the heels of SECRET AGENT and lost its position.

WHY NOT had to steady passing the 100M when PULAU PINANG (App R Narendran) shifted out and at the same time ARAGORN (App CT Lee) laid in.

Emergency acceptor, D’GREAT CHANCE was withdrawn due to a capacity field.

UNCHAINED MELODY which was up 21kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

UNCHAINED MELODY (App A Azizi) stood and refused to jump with the field. The mare will be required to pass one (1) starting stall test before being declared to race again.

BLUE DANUBE (R Rueven) was slow to begin.

The saddle on KRATOS (HK Cheng) slipped sideways during the running of the race.

A post-race veterinary examination of UNCHAINED MELODY revealed no obvious abnormality.

RACE 9 (R1079) CLASS 5 (A) – 1300M

Racing to the 600M, App AR Aiman, the rider of LEEDSTHEWAY was dislodged. The following horses, YULONG HONOR (App P Haris), BM POWER (HK Cheng), CAPE LINCOLN (R Rueven) and SILVER SIXTYSIX (App R Ruwaidy) had to take evasive action to avoid the fallen rider. App AR Aiman was exempted from weighing in.

A post-race veterinary examination of LEEDSTHEWAY revealed no obvious abnormality.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry, Jockey AM Aizat, the rider of SUNTZU, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that racing to the 600M, he shifted inwards when insufficiently clear of LEEDSTHEWAY (App AR Aiman) resulting in the gelding clipping its heels and dislodged its rider. When deciding on the penalty, the Stewards took into account Jockey AM Aizat’s guilty plea, his riding record and mitigating factor. Jockey AM Aizat was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days. Acting on the provisions of MRA Rule 48(5), the Stewards deferred the commencement of Jockey AM Aizat’s suspension to take effect from Monday, 4^th January 2021 and to expire on Sunday, 10^th January 2021, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.30pm).

PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 27^TH DECEMBER 2020 AGAINST VALET SOPHIAN HADI BIN ISMAIL (MRA PASS NO. V.5)

The Stewards today (27^th December 2020) opened an investigation into a report from the PNTC Security Department alleging breach of the Covid-19 SOPs and PNTC Circular T30/20 dated 14^th December 2020 by Valet Sophian Hadi bin Ismail.

After taking evidence from Valet Sophian Hadi bin Ismail, PNTC Assistant Security Officer Encik Mahendaraj Singaravelu and PNTC Security personnel Chong Wai Meng and Corporal Mohd Jamel bin Ismail, the Stewards adjourned the investigation to a date to be fixed.

PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST – 2^ND DAY, SUNDAY, 27^TH DECEMBER 2020

PENANG TURF CLUB JULY MEETING 2020

The report dated 27^th December 2020 (PNTC #V20/15) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 114 coded blood samples were received from the above- mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All the samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.

RACE 9 (R1079) CLASS 5(A) – 1300M, SUNDAY, 27^TH DECEMBER 2020, 2^ND DAY, PENANG DECEMBER MEETING 2020

The Stewards today (27^thDecember 2020) opened an investigation into the saddling of BANGKOK BOY (App R Narendran). After taking evidence from Trainer HS Lim, Owner T Jayabala a/l Tannimalai, Valet Shamsul Hasdi bin Ismail and Syce Willie Koay, the Stewards adjourned the investigation to a date to be fixed.

ALWRICH which was up 19kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

Trainer B Ng was fined RM250/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to remove the use of blinkers on BEST DREAM (K Eirwan) within the stipulated time.

LIKE A JET (App R Ruwaidy) was slow into stride.

Jockey HK Cheng was fined RM500/- under MRA Rule 44(12) for making a celebratory gesture on ALWRICH prior to the winning post.

SO ON which was up 31kgs and LUKE MAN which was down 22kgs in body weight since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

The Stewards permitted Jockey KC Wong to replace Jockey Z Khairil on SUNNY STAR.

BLUE DANUBE (App R Narendran) was slow to begin. App R Narendran, in the presence of his Employing Trainer C Robert, was shown the vision of the start and advised that he must ensure his horses make the best possible start.

GOLD SKY BILLION (R Rueven) was held up for clear running passing the 400M when it came onto the heels of CASTLE OCEAN (App P Haris).

SILVER SIXTYSIX, a course scratching as it suffered from colic, will be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

The Stewards permitted App A Azizi to replace App S Rosmizan as the rider of SECKILL when the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer.

The Stewards permitted Jockey S Anandan to replace Jockey S Salee on LEE’S STAR.

As there was no senior jockey available, the Stewards permitted App R Ruwaidy to replace Jockey Z Khairil on SUNTZU.

I’M THE MAN (App S Saddam) and MR DREYFUSS (App P Haris) both jumped away awkwardly and bumped.

BIG SUPER (SS Vanan) was bumped on jumping away by SUNTZU, dipped and as a result, lost ground.

BIG SUPER raced wide from the 800M until entering the straight.

MR DREYFUSS laid outwards at the 300M and bumped TILSWORTH JOSHI (R Rueven).

Jockey HK Cheng, the rider of HERO KING, was advised that he must ensure that he returns to weigh in at his declared weight.

APPEAL AGAINST THE ONE (1) MONTH SUSPENSION IMPOSED ON JOCKEY WONG KAM CHONG (KC WONG) BY THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS UNDER MRA RULE 121(2) FOR WEIGHING IN 1 KG BELOW THE WEIGHT HE HAD WEIGHED OUT IN RACE 5 (R837) ON SATURDAY, 17^TH OCTOBER 2020, 2^ND DAY, PENANG OCTOBER MEETING 2020

The Penang Turf Club Racing Stewards today (20^th December 2020) heard the above appeal.

After considering submissions from Jockey KC Wong, his valet Shamsul Hasdy bin Ismail, Clerk of the Scales Mr Ling Beng Kooi and the Acting Chief Stipendiary Steward, the Racing Stewards dismissed the appeal. Jockey KC Wong’s one-month suspension was confirmed and will take effect from Monday, 21^st December 2020 and to expire on Wednesday, 20^th January 2021, both days inclusive. His deposit was forfeited.

KING WARRIOR (S Anandan) lost the use of its off side iron on jumping away and was slow to begin.

Jockey R Rueven, the rider of MAYWEATHER and Jockey S Muniandy, the rider of GRAND SHOW reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of both geldings revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Stewards questioned Jockey Z Khairil, the rider of OVERSEER into his ride on the mare. He stated that his instructions were to jump and sit where comfortable. He further stated that from the 600M, he commenced to push forward but OVERSEER failed to respond and from the 400M when he used the whip, the mare again failed to respond to his riding. The Stewards also questioned Trainer S Hamilton, the trainer of OVERSEER. She confirmed her instructions and stated that she was of the opinion that the mare was not suited by the distance of today’s race. The explanations of Jockey Z Khairil and Trainer S Hamilton were noted.

HARLEY FLAME (App S Rosmizan) had to steady racing to the 900M to avoid the heels of FORSA ECLIPSE (App M Akmazani).

HUN YEANG ROAD (App A Najib) was tightened for room and became unbalanced racing to the 800M when FORSA ECLIPSE rolled inwards.

SUNNY FIGHTER (App S Hafis) had to check to avoid the heels of HUN YEANG ROAD at about the 200M and shifted outwards for clear running.

LADY LAKSHMI and CHIEF CLERK, both course scratching as they were bruised off fore fetlock and had abscess left side of mouth respectively, will each be required to pass a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.

ACE’S WILD and SO ON which were up 30kgs and 15kgs in body weight respectively since their last run, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.

The Stewards permitted Jockey HK Cheng to replace Jockey J Daniel as the rider of SANGKURIANG.

CITY OF DREAM (R Rueven) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.

MODRIC (App YY Oon) and ZAC ACE (App A Saran) both jumped away awkwardly.

KRATOS (KC Wong) and HALLELUJAH (App I Firdzriel) were both slow to begin.

ACE’S WILD (App S Rosmizan) had to be steadied racing to the 1100M when tightened for room by FUNKADELIC (S Salee). Jockey S Salee was shown the vision of the incident and advised to exercise greater care under similar circumstances in future.

SO ON (SS Vanan) had to steady passing the 1000M to avoid the heels of STAGESHOW (App S Hafis) which was taken in by FUNKADELIC.

App S Saddam, the rider of PURPLE RAIN LADY reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare returned with epiglottis entrapment and as such, will be required to undergo corrective surgery and thereafter pass a test (1000M/vet examination) before being declared to race again.

The Stewards opened an inquiry into App N Varmah’s riding of TARGET in Race 8 on 25 October 2020. The inquiry was adjourned to allow App N Varmah’s Employing Trainer, Charles Leck to attend.

Mr Leck has advised the Stewards that he is unable to attend the inquiry as he is currently in Singapore and has to fulfill Covid 19 quarantine protocols upon returning to KL.

As such, the inquiry will be conducted at a later stage.

It was established that this sample was received from Jockey C Goon. Acting under the provisions of MRA Rule 136(3)(b), Jockey C Goon was stood down from riding in races / barrier trials / trackwork on 25 October 2020. An inquiry into this finding will be conducted at 2pm on Wednesday, 11 November 2020.

A post-race veterinary examination of D’GREAT LORD (KC Wong) revealed that the mare returned with multiple cuts on the off hind pastern.

Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by Jockey R Rueven, the rider of MAYWEATHER, placed second against GOLDEN EXPLORER (App I Firdzriel), being declared the winner, on the grounds of alleged interference over the final 200M. After considering the evidence and viewing the vision of the race, the Racing Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had materially affected the chances of MAYWEATHER. The objection was upheld and the placings were amended to read:

App I Firdzriel was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) race days with effect from Monday, 19^th October 2020 and to expire on Saturday, 31^st October 2020, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (3.35 pm).

MAESTRO (App I Firdzriel) was slow to begin.

Post-race veterinary examinations of CALVADOS (Z Khairil), TONGARIRO (HK Cheng) and MODRIC (S Salee) revealed no obvious abnormality.

Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by App P Haris, the rider of RAGNAR, placed second, against MAZANZE (S Anandan) being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference over the final 50M. After considering the evidence and viewing the vision of the race, the Racing Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not materially affected the result of the race. The objection was overruled and the result stood.

After hearing the objection, the Racing Stewards were advised that Jockey KC Wong, as the rider of the 4^th place getter CITY OF DREAM, had weighed in to scale 1kg below the weight he had weighed out. After considering the circumstances, CITY OF DREAM was disqualified as the 4^th place getter and ZAC ACE (App S Rosmizan) was declared 4^th and the “All Clear” given.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry today, evidence was taken from the Clerks of Scale, Jockey KC Wong and the valet Shamsul Hasdy bin Ismail. Jockey KC Wong, the rider of CITY OF DREAM was found guilty under MRA Rule 121(2) in that as the rider of CITY OF DREAM, he had weighed in to scale 1kg below the weight he had weighed out. When deciding on the penalty, the Stewards took into account the circumstances of the matter, Jockey KC Wong’s mitigating factors and his riding record. Jockey KC Wong was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month with effect from Monday, 19^th October 2020 and to expire on Wednesday, 18^th November 2020, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.00 pm).

At the conclusion of an Inquiry today (17^th October 2020), evidence was taken from Trainer CC Ooi, the trainer of FLYING BABY. After hearing further evidence from App P Haris, the rider of FLYING BABY, in the presence of his Employing Trainer, HS Lim and viewing the vision of the race, App P Haris was found guilty of a charge under MRA Rule 44(10) for failing to ride to the satisfaction of the Stewards. The particulars of the charge were that:-

From shortly after the start until the 900M, he failed to ride FLYING BABY with sufficient vigour and determination to get a midfield position as instructed;

From the 900M to the 600M, he unnecessarily restrained FLYING BABY;

From the 500M to the finish of the race, he failed to ride FLYING BABY with sufficient vigour and determination.

When deciding on the penalty, the Stewards took into account the facts of this case, App P Haris’ points of mitigation and his riding record. App P Haris was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) months with effect from Monday, 19^th October 2020 and to expire on Friday, 18^th December 2020, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (12.41pm).

App CK Khaw stated that his instructions were to get a good jump and race where the gelding is comfortable. He further stated that racing to the 900M, he had to steady and lost some ground when SUPREME SASSO (App S Ruwaidy) rolled in. Thereafter, from the 800M until the 600M, he was unable to improve as he got held up on the heels of EASTWOOD and SUPREME SASSO and was unable to improve until entering the straight. He also stated that over the final 400M, BAYAX finished the race off fairly. The Stewards noted his explanation.

PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 30^TH APRIL 2020 AGAINST TRAINER HS LIM FOR BRINGING UNAUTHORISED GUESTS TO THE PNTC PREMISES AT ABOUT 8.45 AM ON 30^TH APRIL 2020 DURING MCO (MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER) PERIOD

Following an investigation into the above report, the Stewards advised Trainer HS Lim that he must comply with PNTC Standing Instructions and Regulations in light of the Covid-19 SOP, failing which action may be taken against him.

PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 16^THJULY 2020 REGARDING MISCONDUCT OF MR CHUAH CHONG AIK (MRA PASS NO. SC 43), AN EMPLOYEE OF TRAINER HS LIM

Following an investigation into the above matter, the Stewards warned Mr. Chuah Chong Aik (MRA Pass No. SC 43) for misconducting himself towards a PNTC Security Guard at about 9.00 am on 16^th July 2020 at the PNTC premises.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry today (30^th August 2020), Trainer CC Ooi was found guilty of a charge for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) as read with MRA Rule 37(3)&(4) for failing to ensure that his employees named JOHARI BIN SUBNI (NRIC No. 620107-O7-5227), HARDI IZAM BIN HASSAN (NRIC No. 730118-07-5601), IRWADI BIN MUHAMAT (NRIC No. 801214-07-5279) and MOHAMED JUFRI BIN NASRUN (NRIC No. 910926-07-5177) are licensed or registered with the MRA during a routine Stable Inspection on Monday, 10^th August 2020 at about 7.50 am by PNTC Stewards and the Security Department. Trainer CC Ooi was fined the sum of RM1,000/- (RM250/- per employee) and informed of his Right of Appeal (1.05 pm).

Post-race veterinary examinations of ORION (KC Wong) and VENUS DE MILO (S Salee) revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Stewards questioned Jockey Z Khairil with regard to his ride on OVERSEER. Jockey Z Khairil stated that his instructions from a wide barrier were to get a good jump and sit mid field which he was able to carry out. He further stated that from the 800M until entering the straight, he raced in tight galloping room and did not obtain clear running until passing the 300M. Jockey Z Khairil said that OVERSEER responded to his whip riding and finished the race well. The Stewards noted his explanation.

Jockey K Eirwan, the rider of SO ON reported that his mount was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality. SO ON which raced poorly will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being declared to race again.

A post-race veterinary examination of CALLIXTUS revealed that the mare returned cut into its off hind medial cannon.

The Stewards questioned Jockey Y Aify, the rider of FLYING BABY into his ride on that gelding. Jockey Y Aify stated that his instructions from a wide barrier was to be in a mid field position. After a clear jump, he settled mid field and on straightening, commenced to ride forward and from the 400M, he commenced to ride with the whip. He further stated that FLYING BABY was only one-paced and failed to respond to the whip. His explanation was noted.

Prior to the ‘All Clear’ being given, an objection was lodged by App R Ruwaidy, the rider of BIG SUPER, the second place getter against SECKILL (AK Lim), being declared the winner, on the grounds of alleged interference over the final 200M. After considering the evidence and viewing the vision of the incident, the Racing Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the result of the race. The objection was overruled and the results stand. The Racing Stewards imposed a fine of RM2,000/- on App R Ruwaidy in the presence of his employing trainer, C Robert, under MRA Rule 122(3) for lodging a frivolous objection.

The Stewards questioned Trainer HY Cheng and Jockey J Low, the trainer and rider of AGNI respectively into the mare’s performance today. Trainer HY Cheng explained that AGNI was having its first start in Malaysia and had not raced since 6^th October 2019 and his instructions were to sit midfield. Jockey J Low explained that AGNI jumped fairly and raced with its head up on several occasions in the middle stages of the race. Jockey J Low stated that he was able to sit midfield as instructed and from about the 300M when placed under the whip, AGNI ran on fairly. Their explanations were noted.

PRE-RACE BLOOD TEST – 3RD DAY, SUNDAY, 26^TH JULY 2020

PENANG TURF CLUB JULY MEETING 2020

The report dated 26^th July 2020 (PNTC #V20/07) from the Chief Analyst of Veterinary Forensic Laboratory stated that 101 coded blood samples were received from the above- mentioned race meeting for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations. All the samples were analyzed and passed the pre-race testing criteria.

2^ND DAY, SATURDAY, 25^TH JULY 2020, PENANG JULY MEETING 2020

Following the running of Race 5 (R448) on Saturday, 25^th July 2020, 2^nd Day, Penang July Meeting 2020, it was reported to the Stewards that Trainer HS Lim, the trainer of GOLD SKY BILLION (S Ruzaini), the winning horse, had violated PNTC SOPs in light of the Covid-19 with respect to the number of owners present at the Winning Enclosure.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry today (26^th July 2020) into the matter, Trainer HS Lim pleaded guilty to a charge of misconduct under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he failed to comply with the PNTC SOP Circular No. T12/20 dated 13^th July 2020. Trainer HS Lim was fined a sum of RM2,500/- and was informed of his Right of Appeal (1.25pm).

Trainer HY Cheng was fined RM1,000/- for failing to ensure that the vaccination status (Tetanus) was current for DRAGONITE (App I Firdzriel) in terms of MRA Regulation 20.3.4 and punishable under MRA Regulation 20.6. DRAGONITE was withdrawn by order of the Stewards at 3.20pm.

MAYWEATHER (S Anandan) was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon behind the barriers and was passed fit to race.

JOCKEY AK Lim, the rider of WILL BE BETTER and Jockey R Rueven, the rider of CAVATINA, both reported that their mounts were not striding out freely. Post-race veterinary examinations of both geldings revealed no obvious abnormality.

PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 25^TH MARCH 2020 AGAINST TRAINER B NG

The Stewards today (25^th July 2020) investigated into the above report and after hearing evidence from Trainer B Ng and Assistant Security Officer Mr. Mahandaraj Singaravelu, it was established that both had an exchange of words over personal matters. Both parties agreed to accept each other’s apology and no further action was taken.

PNTC LETTER DATED 17^TH APRIL 2020 TO TRAINER B NG REGARDING HIS EMPLOYEE MR. CHOO CHUIN LEONG

The attention of Trainer B Ng was drawn to the PNTC Standing Instructions and Regulations via Circular No.T3/20 dated 28^th March 2020. Trainer B Ng was informed that all his staff must comply with the directive in the Circular in light of Covid-19 SOP, failing which action may be taken against him.

PNTC SECURITY DEPARTMENT REPORT DATED 30^TH APRIL 2020 AGAINST TRAINER HS LIM REGARDING NON COMPLIANCE WITH PNTC STANDING INSTRUCTIONS AND REGULATIONS

The Stewards today (25^th July 2020) investigated into the above report. After taking evidence from Trainer HS Lim, the Stewards advised him that he must comply with PNTC Standing Instructions and Regulations in light of the Covid-19 SPO, failing which action may be taken against him.

2^ND DAY, SATURDAY, 25^TH JULY 2020, PENANG JULY MEETING 2020

Following the running of Race 6, it was reported to the Stewards that Trainer S Hamilton, the trainer of FUNKADELIC (S Salee), the winning horse, had violated PNTC SOPs in light of the Covid-19 with respect to the number of owners present at the Winning Enclosure.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry into the matter, Trainer S Hamilton pleaded guilty to a charge of misconduct under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that she failed to comply with the PNTC SOP Circular No. T12/20 dated 13^th July 2020 and she was fined a sum of RM2,500/- . She was informed of her Right of Appeal (5.40pm).

GENERAL REPORT – SLTC

SATURDAY, 18 JULY 2020, SLTC TRACKWORK

The inquiry into the reason for newly registered Track Rider Fandi Bin Ahmad riding LISTEN (J412) on the main grass was conducted on Wednesday, 22 July 2020.

Initial evidence was taken from Trainer MW Teh who was not present at the track at that time. Due to requirement to clarify Mr Teh’s statement, the inquiry was adjourned. Trainer MW Teh was instructed that until the inquiry was concluded, Track Rider Fandi would not be permitted to ride trackwork at SLTC under MRA Rule 21(1)(f).
