RACE 1 (MRA 0895) CLASS 5 (B) – 1600M

As there was no suitable rider available, the Stewards permitted App A Azizi to replace Jockey      J Daniel as the rider of MYSTICAL STAR when the latter encountered flight delay.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account the facts of this case, Jockey R Rueven’s points of mitigation and his record.  Jockey R Rueven was suspended from riding in races for a period of three (3) months with effect from Monday, 21st August 2023 and to expire on Monday, 20th November 2023, both days inclusive.   In addition, he was fined a sum of RM10,000/- (Malaysian Ringgit Ten Thousand).  He was advised of his Right of Appeal (6.09 pm).
