Trainer Frank Maynard’s D’Great Timing lived up to the expectations of the workout to win this year’s running of the New Zealand Ready To Run Trophy in Race 8 at Selangor Turf Club last Sunday. The five-year-old by Good Journey with Jockey Y Aify in the saddle came with giant strides at the concluding stages of the race and piped High Council at the finish. D’Great Timing is on the upgrade and should be racing in top class company soon. An odd on favourite Premium Stars was the punters choice and duly obliged in the Class 4 (A) event over 1400m in Race 6. Charles Leck trained seven-year-old by Guillotine with leading Jockey S Ruzaini on board was tucked midfield at the early part of the race and hit the front at the final 300m and drew away to win uncontested. Keep an eye for more wins. HR Racing Stable’s Sun Dance has a potential to be a top class galloper after scoring fourth straight victory from many starts in Race 7. The seven-year-old by Onemorenomore with in form jockey Jose De Souza on board who displayed a great jockeymanship when kept in midfield most of the journey and came with a pulverising run in the closing stages of the race to beat Mozart Eclipse at the post. Trained by Simon Dunderdable, Sun Dance should be even suited over a mile and would be a contender for the feature races soon.
