With the Spring Festival and the birth of Lunar New Year fast approaching, the Selangor Turf Club welcomes racing fans to come together in ushering in the Year Of The Tiger at the Selangor Turf Club.

The Selangor Turf Club’s race meeting in the Year Of The Tiger will begin on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, which marks the second day of Lunar New Year. Patrons visiting the Sungei Besi Racecourse will be welcomed by the display of red lanterns and decorations to mark the Chinese community tradition, signifying auspiciousness and prosperity.

The Club is set to present an entertaining and competitive races on the day, hosting a card of 10 races. The first race in Selangor would begin at 12:45pm while the last race starts at 5:10pm. Apart from this, there will a total of 27 races being live telecast from overseas, 11 races from Singapore and 16 races from Australia, bringing the total number of races for the day to 37.

Among the events that have been arranged by the Club on February 2 are Welcome Greetings by Lion Dance and Giveaway of Mandarin Oranges. In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration, Selangor Turf Club races on the day will be named after Chinese auspicious names.
