The Selangor Turf Club would be holding its Selangor Gold Cup race meeting on Saturday, 10th and Sunday, 11 August 2019.

The Club will be hosting the running of the second leg of the ever popular Selangor Turf Club Triple Crown Series, the Selangor Gold Cup offering prize money of RM200,000 on Sunday, 11 August 2019.

The Triple Crown Series consists of the three Classic Group 1 races of the Selangor Turf Club. The first leg, the Tunku Gold Cup was held on March 31, 2019. The final leg is the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor is scheduled to run on September 29, 2019.

Appropriately themed “where sprinters meet stayers”, the series is a open race for three years olds and above with rating band 71 and above, run over three varying distances of 1200 metres for the Tunku Gold Cup , 1600 metres for the Selangor Gold Cup  and finally the 2000 metres for the Piala Emas Sultan Selangor.

On the same day, the Club would also stage two sponsored races; Mitavite Asia Cup and Trinity Warrior Cup.

The Mitavite Asia Cup, sponsored by leading supplier in quality horse feeds and products, Mitavite Asia Sdn Bhd is open to Class 3 horses and run over a distance of 1200 metres offering prize money of RM45,000.

Mitavite Asia Sdn Bhd operates an Equine Pro Shop in the premises of the Selangor Turf Club. It is regarded as a one stop service centre providing Mitavite Feeds & Supplements, Vitamite Feeds, Fodder & Roughages, Gears & Tack and Victory Equipment.

The Trinity Warrior Cup is sponsored by Trinity Club. The race is open to Class 4 horses and run a distance of 1600 metres. The race carries prize money of RM40,000.
